  1. Yeah should have one. It’s In the post. Should be here tomorrow. Are you local?
  2. The FA Cup lost its appeal when the semis were switched there.
  3. Maybe we should just see how it all pans out and if Liverpool and us can't gain or lose anything, then let's not bother.
  4. https://www.facebook.com/thelapstone/ could be an interesting night!
  5. Right, so you know for sure then?
  6. not really what i said at all, but there you go.
  7. I'm not entirely sure what he meant about Bucha and to be honest, his views on Covid were fairly close to mine, so respect for saying how he felt about that. Of course some of the stuff was a bit far fetched and maybe a little ludicrous. As for this one, hopefully we have an investigation into Bucha because I don't know for sure that the Russians did it, as does anyone else on here. It's a dodgy part of the world and it's not impossible that the Ukrainians have manipulated some of the war correspondence. Zelensky addressing all of the world parliaments and UN, he's didn't care about the build up before the invasion, brushing it off. Now he walks around like some sort of Nelson Mandela figure, I don't know, just some of it is a bit strange. I also find it strange that the west have not been actively involved, I mean you could start to argue that Bucha was akin to genocide and people have mentioned the holocaust, but we still don't go in? I know we did the same in WW2, they knew from 1942/1943, but we let millions more die. War is never what it seems and is rarely for any worthwhile reason. I don't really care what he says, the whole point of Twitter is for people to say how they feel, just because you don't like it or agree, doesn't make it wrong. That said, you can't embarrass the company that you are working for if you are in that sort of high profile job. Finally, best player i ever saw in the flesh. Not sure I'd still be into football if it wasn't for him and like many others, met him loads of times and he is without doubt a straight up guy and does a hell of a lot of good work for others, and ironically did a lot at Fare Share during the pandemic.
  8. I agree with this but then as much as the comic has a right to take the piss, the audience has a right to be offended and take up the issue themselves. Perhaps physical violence is one step too far but in this case Smith clearly did not intend to actually hurt Rock, if you have a free shot on anyone, chances are you are going to deck them.
  9. Nope, it's America, just like the good ole days, Kunta Kinte fighting Chicken George
  10. to be honest, it was a shit fight. Would have been much better if Rock had gone after him, jumped on his back and they both fell to the floor, proper school yard stuff, that would have been excellent. George Clooney, Rebel Wilson, Tom Cruise and co all surrounding them, clapping hands and chanting 'fight, fight, fight...'
  11. Seasons over, might as well play whoever.
  12. Yeah, you’d be right there
  13. I remember the days when you just paid cash, except for the ‘all ticket’ games.
  14. Once in a generation? We’ve been there twice in the last five years.
  15. It's not so much empathy for the club, but football is about home and away, banter, even ferocity of course. I really don't want our game to turn into something like it is on the other side of the pond, which is what the OP is suggesting.
  16. Seriously, great to have no away fans, really? I guess it’s great to finish 8th and not qualify for Europe in case it hampers our mid table finish the following season. I guess it would be great to sing ‘you’re not singing anymore’ to empty seats. I guess it would be great to go back to the covid home only games, I mean that was great. Maybe it would be great if we didn’t have relegation. Maybe it would be great if we had Ted Lasso in charge. I tell you what would be great, charging points for your phone on the seats, that would be great. And an app that delivers popcorn or a pick and mix straight to you. It would be great to see the Mexican Wave back again. modern football, fucking great.
  17. Remember when Chris Nichol won it in 89 and then . Had a run of winless games forever
  18. Will you be having a party when Rednapp dies?
  19. there wasnt anything from the club, a bit lapse really.
  20. And popcorn sales would go through the roof
  21. are you seriously suggesting that West Ham are a bigger club than us because they moved to a bigger stadium? They're bigger than us anyway mate, always have been and probably always will be. Clearly a lot comes down to definition, but the name of West Ham FC is certainly more well known than the name of Southampton FC.
  22. he barged past everyone, when he was playing for Liverpool, literally shoving kids and that out the way, arsehole, always has been and always will be. Keegan on the other hand was always mobbed but sat in his car and signed every last one, class man, knew his roots, never forgot.
  23. Waiting for autographs at the exit gate in the car park. Loved Keegan for that and hated Grobelar
  24. That’s going be a busy train.
