You are usually a spot, no nonsense sort of guy and i can see where you are coming from. ML probabaly hadnt even heard of us previously but he quite clearly grew to love us. Yes an investment initially, and yeah, if it wasnt him it definately would have been someone else, we would not have gone, no way, but who would it have been? We saw some of the candidates and frankly, if one of them had taken over, well the scorers last night wouldn'y have been playing let alone scoring! I think you footnote comment is a little in bad taste mate, specially since the old man died!

I have to say that recently our support has become embarrassing. As someone who sits in the Itchen 4, what happened? We were giving the Northam a run for our money a year or two ago but now we are outsung by a bus load of Seasiders! I was initially against the move, but recently I am relenting because our support is so, so quiet, and it is embarrassing. We got a great team, great stadium (if you like that new fangled look etc, but thats another story) and we have great supporters in respect that we turn up in big numbers, week in, year out etc. but the noise level is pathetic, we need to do something.

Saints vs Manchester Utd - 4th Round FA Cup Draw
Noodles34 replied to saint_bert's topic in The Saints
we will better than last time against em, thats for sure -
sorry for being a bit harsh, i really know what its like to do what you are doing, but one thing I have always welcomed is a bit of honest critique. Dont mean to be negative for the sake of it but like i said, you got to be a bit different, and contrary to waht people have told you, I believe people want to read all the nasty stuff, thats why The Sun is the no1 paper, they want the bull****, the gossip and the scandal. Thats not saying 'lets slag off the board' for the sake of it but there are plenty of other things to target too. One thing i did like was the player interviews etc, a few more past players, people associated with the club etc and even some fresh perspective from the youth team players maybe? Sincerely, good luck with it, if you are selling 1500 to 2000 then i reckon you are doing well.

A little advice boys, try be a bit funny, try and be a bit contraversial and try and be a bit different. All credit for doing what you are doing in this 'internet' age etc, but I have to say, reading your fanzine was boring. I am sorry for being honest, but fanzines were always fun and near the bone, upsetting the establishment, the management, the board and the players, and the fans! Sorry, I dont want to read about the same old stuff I can read anywhere, I think your front cover sums it up, not funny. Put a picture of Pardew and Fonte and some witty caption, dont have to be libellous, just near enough to it. Good luck!

at the end of the day, money talks, in football, in everything. Would you blow 10 blokes for a million? Sure............. but i'd want the money first this time!

Mate, employment law doesnt apply in football. Not saying its not legit, but we all know how clubs get around it, they just pay the guy off, and unless the pay is not big enough then its not going to an employment tribunal (and how many times does that happen?). Interesting that AP was probabaly sacked under 'gross misconduct', so how did he get rid of the coaches, Downes etc? Probably with a big enough pay off, and why would they want to stay and then get released by Adkins, might as well take the cash now.
-
the Police haven't got enough to charge him yet? And really they should have had enough time by now. or, there is so much evidence it is taking too much time to compile? Probabaly the first, which would be positive for Barnard

Are we going to be dissapointed in January?
Noodles34 replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
disapponted about your spelling, son! -
Listen to any pundit and they talk about 'the spine' of the team and that was the problem yesterday, Fonte, Chaplow and Barnard, and I guess you can go to KD as well, playing, but, well... no strength in depth either, look at the bench. We got a fully fit first 11 that is good enough to win this league, but without some of them available, its going to be difficult, January is going to be MASSIVE month, on and off the pitch, it will undoubtedly define our season.

the point being, that would be some on here that would indeed see him let off, even if they knew he was guilty, because he plays for Saints etc and could score some goals etc, so many on here would really mean 'good luck' on getting off, regardless of whether he is a mindless thug or not. I hope he gets off because he is innocent and i hope he scores us the goals to take us up (more chance of him than RL at the mo), but if he did do it, then he should be sentanced in the same way as everyone else is.
-
Good luck??? This isn't a raffle, if he is innocent then fine, he will get off without luck, if he did glass someone then he dont deserve any luck.

Isnt it time to name-and-shame "the group behind the scenes" ?

Solent were on about this on Saturday, DM was saying how nothing really difinitive has come out from the family, which I guess you could look at both ways. Lets face it, if we end up buying no one in ja n and selling Lallana then we will all know which direction we are heading.

source from Zurich that England bid failed because wives etc didn't want to go to plymouth and Milton Keynes, another source quoting West Quay as the missing link. Beckham, Cameron, Wales! but West Quay would have won it for Ingerland.

I'm worried too, what if we end up meeting Chelsea in The Champions League Final in 2014 and its in somewhere like Istanbul , would cause massive transport problems, surely they would be better off holding it at Wembley or something....?
