  1. at home maybe, reckon we can win them all, and pick up a few points away and yeah, we will do it.
  2. Its not about money (in general, of course in individual cases it may well be), as previously pointed out, there has been a recession for some time now. Its about Saints playing **** and not getting results and about it being cold. You cant count the CP game, it was Boxing Day, yet when we were playing WHU and Brighton we were flying. We might still have been second but everyone knows we have been crap from Blackpool to the 1st half against Cardiff, couple that with some cold days and nights that stop the 'turn up if we are winning' brigade (which is probably around 5000) and you get these disappointing attendances. I reckon if we win today the gates will start getting back to 30k.
  3. who did he have his money on???
  4. yeah, spoke with Graham at the Leicester match (this time i got the right one), he was also at the Burnley game, converted from Reading it seems. He also did a bit for the FA website if I remember rightly.
  5. That seems like a fair and honest reflection of what happened. It is difficult in the away end, i mean Billy Sharp missing from 4 yards and I'm on my feet with my head in my hands shouting "Noooooo!", but no one seemed to be making an issue with me, and when we scored i just refrained from jumping up and down etc. At the end of the day, if someone is your end and they respect that, then whats the big deal?
  6. think you need to actaully say something to them to count,
  7. are you sure, thought it was Shipperley with two and Matt with one? Stand to be (officially) corrected though.
  8. Last night i met Billy Mitchell at West Ham. I have also met the fit bird from some tv show and her boyfriend Will Mellor at Old Trafford, they were sat in front of us. And Graham Taylor, ex FA Chief at Anfield but I thought it was Grahm Hiley from the Echo, and said 'Hello Graham, how you doing?' and obviously he replied, weird! I dont think the last one counts as its a football related person, should be non football celebs really.
  9. This seems like the lot that were in The Legends Restaurant before the game, I was in there too and you get a seat in The West Stand. Obviously saw them before the game and they were various ages but had the usual drinking yobbo look about them, but to be fair they were alright before the game. But they never came back at HT, so i guess that explains that though i never heard or saw any commotion, probably exaggerated to say the least. I was half expecting the West Ham to say that Ray Winstone had taken them out. But, I did meet Billy Mitchell and said "you're Billy Mitchell", and he said " yeah" smiling, spose he has never heard that before? I said UTS to him as well and he laughed so i cracked him over the head with a baseball bat! Nah, made the last bit up, he just smiled again.
  10. also scored two against the Skates at The Dell in a 3 nil cup win for us!!
  11. ere we go again....
  12. so obviously he was going to give Doncaster the 1.8m that they would have lost if he had stayed. What an c***. And saying that, Jesus, dont understand how anyone can actually be lke that?
  13. is this from West Ham after last night??
  14. at the end of the day, your own singing is always going to sound great, especially under a roof. I can only call it as i see it, from The West Stand, our fans have been louder. But maybe the acoustics just keep the noise inside that bit. In saying all that, it was great following.
  15. I'd agree with that, for a moment the ref looked as though he might give a pen but then bottled it. I think lallana's reaction was probably because he was worried what the ref might do with him.
  16. I have to say i am amazed how we can say WHU were a long ball team tonight! If anything, we were were for the first 20 mins. Compared to how they played at SMS, their style was reasonably neat and tidy, without doubt they will win this league, but I have no doubt that, based on the last 3 games, we can finish behind them comfortably ahead of the rest.
  17. as someone sat with their lot in The West Stand (the prawn sandwich brigade) I have to disagree. I thought their fans were okay and ours were okay, i have heard us louder and prouder IMO, but it is funny how much of a different perspective you get in the opposing end (so to speak).
  18. take away the first 15 and we were the dominant team. I was in with west ham fans and they seemed like they were more happy to finish the game. I was impressed with how we kept the call and moved it around but just lacking up front. Still looked like the better team in the end.
  19. why? Because we cant lose two in a row? Because someone dares to say something that isn't 'happy clappy, we are going to win this league'? Because you are unable to string a sentence together (let alone a reasoned argument) so resort to words you can't even spell? err, reckon I'll go with the last one...
  20. you have missed my point mate, I did start one about losing the next two and got absolutely slaughtered. Que, that **** Avenue Saint to drop in..
  21. I was quite surprised to hear someone say thay hear racist comments all the time at SMS. In the Itchen 4, I never hear anything like that, whats it like in general for the rest of the ground?
  22. what a ridiculous thread.. What happens if we lose the next two?
  23. Well, firstly it wouldn't be two from 46, it would two from sixteen (i think thats how many we had left b4 yesterday), so that would put a perspective on it, and more so because it would continue to poor vein of form. And secondly, we cant question? All, threads have to be positive, even when we are losing? and finally, how many players have we superseeded? Dickson was doing a good job but now we have better players, what is the difference? And barnard etc.
  24. you stalking me or something? nothing better to do with your life eh..
  25. This forum has loads of 'waste of time' threads, I mean whats the difference on what people think they will feel like at 5pm or what Guly has done today, what you would think if we lost the last two games, dont really understand your point? And what Adkins Out thread did I start? I simply put it out, that if you have someone doing a good job but then someone comes along with an amzing track record at the same job, would you take him on, in the same way as we do with players all the time. Why is it not the same with managers? It transpired that everyone would not swap Capello for Adkins, fair enough and no one would swap Messi for Lambert, which is what surprised me. Hope that clarifies my 'sheer audacity' to start a thread!
