  1. He is right though. The few times we actually should have kept our heads and then rushed forward as a team with the ball, we booted it back to them. And then when we had opportunities to hit players long, we tapped it round the back. I think it is mainly that we are not as good as the teams we are playing. Would put a vote in for cooper now he is free, he would be much more exciting to watch.
  2. 13 pts is on target. How we get there doesn't matter, it's all about the points, and we look like we could do it, if we stick with martin and improve a little bit in the second half of the season.
  3. You're in a minority, I think most people watching think he had a good half, and lovely skill near the end.
  4. Bbc said we are playing delightful football, can't complain about that. Tall paul taking his opportunity, good man management to get him to that mindset. Considering how much we miss bazunu, this is a great effort so far.
  5. I thought you not racist types didn't see colour? Badenoch, braverman, and patel are all recognised as horrible people, regardless of gender or ethnicity, even the most hardened of tories would acknowledge that, there is no pretence that they are nice types who you would want to spend time with, they are there to do a job, a job which includes promoting the hostile environment as initiated by theresa May, and making sure evil trans people don't harm our kids.

  7. Don't understand the drama, he has over achieved in getting us up a year earlier than planned, and we're on course for our target total for this season. You can't finish bottom with 13 points and win loads of games, not sure what people expect, losing week after week is a part of this season, as expected.
  8. Labour now has now beaten the record for biggest return flights 3 times since coming into power, and have sent over 25 flights since July. 10,000 deportations so far, an increase of 20% on 2023. Also a 15% increase in foreign offenders being deported compared to 2023. And none of them had to be paid 150k as a sweetener. Considering that under 100 claims per month were being reviewed at the end of the tories reign, those are pretty good numbers.
  9. You can disagree about whether we came up too early, but it's not a bullshit opinion to think so. Here's a relevant quote from klopp in februrary: "You can see Southampton’s direction is absolutely right. The way that Russell wants them to play is obvious. "There are some risks that come with the style. You have to get used to it more and more. It is not for me to decide if they get promoted or not. "They may stay in the Championship and get another year to work on it," the German continued. "That could allow them to win more games in the Premier League because they might be a bit more settled."
  10. Russell martin is a reliable source, these signings are made with long term in mind, not to try and stay up this season. AR could be an exception, depends what contract he has but he's low risk in that we can move him on easily. "Whereas I think 18 months ago in the January window, it was very much about spend money for here and now because you need to stay in the Premier League. "We haven't done that and I think that's agreed that we're not just going to go all in for one season and then put the club in a situation that isn't very good. "Not everyone will agree with that strategy, but the club have gone with us to try and bring some stability over a period of time, to bring a way of doing things."
  11. Edwards and wood will be excellent in the championship next year.
  12. Why is this even an issue? We know ourselves that referees are allowed to criticise individuals (see clattenburg and lallana). It's natural for refs to dislike players and managers who abuse them, the only problem would be if it impacted their neutrality on the pitch decisions, and there is no suggestion of that? No idea why this is supposed to be of any concern.
  13. So all this fuss on this thread and we're actually bang on our target? Insanity.
  14. 12? 13 is the target, 12 is sacking territory.
  15. 15? 13 is the target, 15 is knighthood territory.
  16. Wolves looked like they were running on empty, even lallana was puffing less - best we've played this season so far. Same again second half and we should edge closer to the 13pt target.
  17. The stats back Manning, he has the highest xA at the club, most key passes per game, and he takes a good corner. He is the best crosser of the ball at the club. Not sure why people dont rate him, he is pretty reliable, just being scapegoated. He would get in plenty of lower half prem teams and will serve us well next year in the championship.
  18. It also means ihmane khelif can compete as a woman for the rest of her career (in the US at least, she could be banned elsewhere). In practice, what does it mean for those who have already transitioned, such as musks daughter? Will they be deported as illegal people? Put in prison? Does it mean everyone will now need to have their gender tested? There are a lot of intersex people who don't know it who could be breaking the law right now. When should that testing be? I reckon 13,14yr old would be most suitable. I'm sure DT will volunteer to do some inspections himself that way.
  19. Wolves are the only team in the prem who pass it backwards more often than we do, not sure why people think they will be going for glory. 2-0 saints.
  20. Seems like semantics, I don't think anyone is suggesting trump is not a rapist and a paedophile? I've not heard anyone on either side suggest otherwise, it's just about whether you think that disqualifies him from leading the country, and that is clearly stated by the election result - it's not relevant.
  21. No worries 👍
  22. He wasn't, he was just found liable for sexual abuse. But I don't think anyone disputes he is a rapist and paedophile do they? The question is whether that should impact his ability to be president of the USA, and the voters have spoken.
  23. It's essentially like us electing Jimmy savile if he hadn't passed away, he lived at just the wrong time to be able take advantage of this trend.
  24. She is suing, so we will see.
  25. Exactly, and the republicans and tories have always been about building bridges and would never insult potential voters.
