Its easy to pass to your own players when you have got rid of the dross Burley brought here.
-
Yes,but not on the football side.

It amazes me on here that plenty of people seem to still hanker for the old ways that have failed us so often. Roll on the intelligent revolution.

It is probably true to say that most Saints fans feel a mixture of optimism and slight worry at the moment,so lets look at the positives. 1.Our poor financial position is being addressed. 2.For the first time since WGS we have a manager who exudes confidence and knows what he is doing, and is carrying out a carefully thought out plan of action. 3.We seem to have a properly fit squad, again first time since WGS. 4.We are going to see some of the best, intelligent, football since the early 1980s. 5.The team will be full of players hungry to do well for themselves, the club and the fans. You can't fail to see how quickly the youngsters have taken on board the new ideas, and how they are enjoying themselves. 6.We have the best fans in the world. They will be supportive to the young players to help maintain their confidence. 7.The whole club is pulling in the same direction for once, and disruptive influences have been marginalised, and the vast majority of fans are behind what is happening. 8.We have the best centre of defense in the league in terms of ability, experience and again intelligence. 9.The full-back situation will i feel be addressed when the high-earners have been moved on. 10.The youngsters will soon learn to kick back. For those who fear our youngsters will be over-run by big teams,i feel this fear is over-hyped.The way we are going to play means that we will have far greater possession than the opposition, teams can only hurt us when they have the ball.Possession of the ball breeds confidence in players.I think we will probably have a greater proportion of possession than any other team in the CCC ths season, and the players will improve quickly with experience. I also think that the way we will play will see far fewer corners and free-kicks around the box given away, which is where most teams in the CCC look to score their goals. It is much easier to play football when you play intelligently, defending and going forward. There is every reason to be optimistic.

Kelvin Davis to be sold with Rasiak, Saga and Skacel

Can't remember the exact circumstances of his injury LGSC,but i remember noting at the time that his positioning was pathetic, and this resulted in him i think injuring himself come down from a catch awkwardly when the catch should have been comfortable. -

See what you mean by irony now Ponty, apologies;been a long day. My point is still valid.
-
Presumably you think i am the pot calling the kettle black Ponty, care to give some examples,or are you miffed that i was right about jackass Burley from an early stage?
-
..............shut telling others what they can or cannot talk about. If you are fed up with a particular subject, then ignore it and leave others to their own interests. There are so many dictatorial ar*eholes on here.
-
I would like to see a manager go for the long sucking in thoughful approach (in the best possible taste ,of course )
-
Will he be able to sigh and blow out at the same time like Burley did? Or do Dutch coaches receive a different first lesson at coaching school?

Saw that game John B Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I blame WS for not taking the blame earlier.

Spot on Saint1977. 3 and a half seasons of management by managers who did not want to be here, appointed by Lowe. Lowes legacy endured even after he was kicked out. However,i praise Lowe for what he is doing now, even if it was forced upon him by financial constraints.
-
Quite simply John B,Lowe complains that young players were not played. They were not played by managers Lowe appointed (Wigley,Redknapp, but mainly Burley). As he appointed the managers he must take responsibility for what they do or do not do. Not difficult. His failure to see or admit this demonstrates how he continually seeks to blame others for things for which he is partly or totally culpable.
-
In todays pre-season special Lowe asks why the young players have not been playing. Considering that these players have grown up exclusively under managers appointed by Lowe, barring of course Pearson, who did give some a chance;this aptly demonstrates that this man has changed not one iota, and accepts not a jot of responsibility for the clubs' present state. Having said that the present course the club is following is the only intelligent way to go. Hopefully the rest of football will take a similar course. England is full of useless, gutless managers continually relying on has and never been players who are kept in the game way beyond their sell by dates, when they should be kicked out to make way for young players to get experience and develope their careers. Every club is wasting money they do not have on these useless journeymen and getting very little back in return, and it is time it stopped. It is no coincidence that the introduction of all these young players has made Saints fans feel as if they are getting their club back again, after losing it to couldn't care less managers and players, and businesmen using the club for their ego trips. Roll on the revolution, even if partly instigated by Lowe.
