  1. More like demolition sad old Scooby. Going well isn't it?
  2. Slated JP a bit last saturday for having no Plan B. Also said he can't understand what JP is on about when being interviewed, and wonders if the players understand what he is saying to them.
  3. The only expense Saints should have over and above most other CCC clubs is the £3 million p.a. stadium payment. Even 15,000 gates will provide the club with over £3 million per season more gate revenue than many CCC clubs who are doing much better than we are. Therefore there is no reason why the stadium should unduly disadvantage us in this division. What Wilde is really saying is that he does not have the will or ability to run the club properly.
  4. Most of the regular Arsenal team are below the age you suggest for maximum stamina UP,and it is still mainly last years team. I agree with you that players grow stronger with age,but i believe that they have not been conditioned sufficiently in this pre-season,and are nowhere near fit enough.
  5. If Wilde believes that UP then it is his duty as a company director to place the company into liquidation,as the company will continually trade in an insolvent position, which is illegal.
  6. Would agree with you UP,if Arsenal were not disproving what you are saying. Yes they are better players and more athletic, but there is no reason why they should have more stamina.
  7. I'm afraid SOG that fans are witnessing the team going rapidly in reverse faster than the Italian army ever considered possible. Fans have also witnessed senior players telling JP what needs to be done, during the course of a match. Fans are witnessing players totally failing to follow instructions given before the game. This does not suggest a group of players who have any faith in or respect for the manager.Even you should be able to realise that that strikes the death knell for this manager.
  8. The failure was bringing in players who were paid way above proper ccc wage levels. Burley inherited a huge squad of crap players, and re-populated it to the same quantity with even more crap players. With the £40 + million we received in player sales and para payments we had ample opportunity to sensibly manage ourselves to a secure financial position commensurate with our new status.
  9. I have seen or heard nothing in any interview that JP has done that suggests he believes that the blame for the poor performances lies with anyone other than the players. I believe he has lost the dressingroom already.
  10. The point of this thread is that just as Burley never took responsibility for anything, and used a variety of excuses to do so,so JP is equally unable to accept that,as the manager,he neeeds to look at himself and his coaches for part of the reasons that things are going pear-shaped so early and so quickly.
  11. There are plenty of us who believe that without administration, this club will never get itself sorted out, with the idiots we have in charge never giving up hope of recouping their investment. Therefore,we believe that, while not guaranteed to do so,only administration offers us the hope of ridding ourselves of the cancer that inflicts the club. Last week a canoeist had to cut off his own leg as the only way to save his life. That is where Saints are now IOP.
  12. No matter what players you have,a manager has to accept that it is his job to get the best out of them,by tactics, motivation, formation etc etc. This he is clearly failing to do,and things are getting worse every match.
  13. A lot of criticism from JP of the players after the last few games. Do not see any acceptance of blame on behalf of the management and coaching staff. Perhaps he could use the line : "We sold or loaned out our best 12 players".
  14. Yes DP,i remember your post now. We could well be seeing why JP has got to his advanced age without a sniff of a job at a top Dutch club.
  15. It was posted on the forum a week or so ago that JPs training did not include much stamina work. If that is the case, then what we are seeing is not surprising, and likely to get worse. "Total football" requires a lot of movement, which in turn requires a lot of stamina. We have already seen how a player who misses out on pre-season training cannot catch up during the season. We are already seeing a drastic reduction in player movement, with only a handful of games played. These players seem to knackered already, physically and mentally.
  16. Perry taking the corners. Just about says everything you need to know about the skills of our creative? players.
  17. we're winning on throw ins.
  18. There is only ONE system. Attack when you have the ball, defend when you don,t. Everything else is make believe.
  19. Another set piece goal, good job they have been practising.
  20. Seems some people on here think we should have some different topics of conversation. Perhaps they could enlighten us as to what rivetting topics we should be discussing other than players, team, managers, club, board, performances, tactics, finance.
  21. Good point WSS,gets worse by the minute.
  22. For those who have an agenda where they would like Saints problems minimised :- 7000 fewer through gate than projected @ £25.00 x 23 = approx £4 million.Although i do not know what figure Lowe agreed with the bank, this is not an unreasonable estimate. We know Skacel turned down £6000 a week at Ipswich,as it was half his wages here. Not unreasonable to estimate the 5 players i mentioned as being on equivalent wages. Therefore 12,000 per week x 5 x 52 weeks = approx £3 million. Everything that has come out of the club was that they needed to offload ALL big earners. Not hard to believe that Bank wanted all 5 of those players off the books. Not unreasonable to assume therefore that we will be £7 million worse off this season than Lowe and the Bank had hoped for. Also not unreasonable to assume that as we have not met the banks' cost-cutting demands, and with a massive shortfall in projected income, and in todays financial climate, that the bank will assume that we are a hopeless case and will foreclose.
  23. Surprise surprise, the serial no-judgement Saintwarwick has nothing constructive to say.
  24. Loss of gate money, difference between gates of 22,000 and 14-15000. Wages for john, skacel, eull, davis, thomas.
  25. A quick glance could lead to a misreading of the Echo headline. Might be a good way to stop opponents geting too close to our boys.
