We don't have ANY strikers,just fannyabouters who don't get into the right places at the right time,and on the odd occasion that they do can't shoot with any power or accuracy. That makes it difficult to win matches.

Anyone expecting improvement from our shooting will be sadly disappointed. This is a basic skill requiring the right body shape and ball-striking technique. As young as some of our players are,they are of an age where they have reached the peak of their skill levels. Their only room for improvement now is in mentality.

I have said this many times on this board,perhaps some peopl will finally understand. Football is a physical game,but like all sports the outcome is determined in players heads. To be successful requires that you make correct decisions.Skill levels are only a peripheral determinate in results of football matches.That is why our so-called "total football" is largely ineffective,pretty yes,effective no. Our players inexperience leads them to make too many incorrect decisions,as does their basic lack of football intelligence. When you add this to their poor reading of the game,especially defensively,and their truly woefull shooting technique,you get what we have got,a basic set of average players who might just have enough about them to keep us up this season.

You won't see the best of Adam until he plays with better players. You can't assess him properly until then. IMO he is looking a bit over-rated at the moment because he is playing with poor forwards who don't have the intelligence required to assess where to be and when to be there.Intellligent strikers like Michael Owen would love to play with him(in a football sense,but then who knows).

Lets nail the lie perpetuated by many morons on here than Leon Crouch has some responsibility for our financial plight and never took any action to mitigate our losses. LC was first Chairman from Febuary 07 to July 07,obviously after the winter transfer window,no players were signed in that period.After he was ousted by the execs we signed on big wages John,Thomas,Safri,Euell. Raziak was effectively signed by Lowe.Skacel and Davis were signed long before Febuary 07.All the journeymen let go this summer such as Wright,Ostlund and Licka were signed before Febuary 07. When LC became chairman again in December 07 the high-wage deals had already been done. In January he sent out Raziak and Skacel on loan to save money as Burley did not want to use them.Not exactly doing nothing IMHO. Yes he sanctioned the loans of Wright,Lucketti and Perry.If he hadn't we would have been relegated and you morons would really have had something to whinge about. Lowe carries the main responsibility for our problems for replacing Sturrock with Wigley and then choosing a Manager(Redknapp) who never wanted to be here.Wilde carries the remaining responsibility for appointing the execs who put the nails in our coffin. So you lying Lowe and Wilde luvvies can just F**k off.

I was talking about your nonsensical assessment of the first half Saint Martin. Agreed about a welcome much better second half.

When we have forced their goalkeeper to perform like Davis,you can say that we have been equally effective in overall play. If the situation had been the other way around "monkeys" like you would be saying how lucky they were.

So 6 superb Davis saves to "0" for Weaver equals a close first half ? You won't be coming out any time soon.

Time people forgot about pretty INEFFECTIVE play. Matches are won by EFFECTIVE play. Now,if we could manage PRETTY,EFFECTIVE play,we would be getting somewhere.

The fact that other clubs have wasted money just like us makes it alright then. Time corprorate law was changed to penalise arsehole directors like Lowe etc. Behaviour like this is not just incompetence,but gross negligence,that has destroyed the value of shareholdings in the enterprise and will eventually leave many creditors out of pocket at no fault of themselves. If you look at the player ratings he gives (especially this season and last),we should have been and should be in play-off positions. The Echo is far too cosy with the club. Correct Derry,but were our shareholders prepared to place SISU in the same position. Our debt is external,coupled with huge laibilities on player wages,that could not just have been wiped out.Plus we have a huge mortgage. No contest.
