They did us all proud. In the end the counter attacks caught us. No way is the scoreline fair but that's the way it goes. Pompey were very dissapointing for a prem club.

As useful as he undoubtebly is I wouldn't want a player who was forced to come here against his will. The administrator is running Palace so I guess he'd have a big say on such a move.

Exactly.. Think about it. A deal to sign Danns is on the table tomorrow, AP says "Sorry Mr Administrator my hands are tied, I've made a statement saying no more signings and I'm bound by that!" Now that's got to be crazy. Would NC let that happen with such an opportunity? If we don't sign anyone else the fact is that AP has the players he planned on getting at the outset once he had signed Punch. If we get him I'll be over the moon..

I'm not saying we will sign Danns and I'm not saying we wont. My point is that what is written on the os isn't written in stone. If circumstanes were such that a last minute opportunity to sign Danns at a price that suits us was to present itself then AP might seriously have to consider it. I hope so but personally doubt it will happen.

For the right price I'm sure AP would sign him, even after what was said on the os yesterday.

There's still a long way to go till this team starts living up to expectations by the sounds of this. What has happened to Barnard since he arrived.? It does sound deperate stuff. Come on Saints get a few more ffs.!

Looks very shaky. I just hope we don't lose any of these through injury/suspension in the next few games.

When is he going to start to put in consistent performances. He promises so much but just doesn't deliver for a player with his abilites.

The words toys and prams come to mind. Coleman really just wants his wages off the books. It's a non story and could be made about a lot of transfers that fall through last minute. He'd have been a good signing at the right price and as long as his wage demands were significantly less than he is on at Coventry.

Doubt they'll be match fit in any case.... Patience...
