With Movember fast approaching it got me thinking, what’s the lamest thing you’ve ever heard someone doing for “charity” to try and raise money? Is there anything that people do in the name of Charity that takes less effort than just not shaving as much as usual? As a general rule I’d say that raising money for charity should be commended. There are many worthwhile causes out there that deserve our support. According to the Charities Aid Foundation, during 2011/12 the proportion of adults donating to charity in the UK was 55% (between them they donated around £9.3 billion during the period). A load of guys in the office have decided to raise money next month for Movember. Now this charity is one that I’d certainly class as a worthy cause, raising funds for prostate and testicular cancer and mental health. There’s a history of cancer in both my mum & dad’s side of the family, my dad has prostate cancer and I have a rare genetic disorder which means I’m at a higher risk than most people in the cancer lotto. But despite the worthy cause being very close to home for me, when I hear people saying that are raising money by growing a moustache, I just can’t help thinking what an utterly poor effort this is of them. FFS it takes more effort to shave than it does not to shave. So, have any of you been asked to sponsor someone for doing something even lamer?

Here you go Bear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_Delight Angel Delight is a powdered custard dessert product produced in the United Kingdom. It is designed to be mixed and whisked with milk to create a mousse-like custardy sweet dessert. Angel Delight was launched in 1967 by the Bird's company with a strawberries and cream flavour and by the 1970s had doubled the market for instant desserts. After a lull in popularity during the 1980s, a revival campaign was run in 1999, featuring Wallace & Gromit. In 2006 the brand was the best-selling line in the UK instant cold desserts sector -

Guys, our resident forum pilot and plane geek 'Lighthouse' has just made a very bold claim on facebook, one which I have proven wrong many time over. Silly Lighthouse has just claimed the following............. Is there anything better in life than going home to visit your parents and finding a packet of Angel Delight in the back of the cupboard? I think not. Well, that was like red rag to a bull, I mean for starters Instant Whip puts angel delight to shame. Anyway, I kindly pointed out several things that are better, but please feel free to add your thoughts here. Here are my thoughts (names have been changed to protect us from online grooming) Lighthouse 35 minutes ago via mobile · Is there anything better in life than going home to visit your parents and finding a packet of Angel Delight in the back of the cupboard? Just popped down to get a coffee as it’s been 20 minutes since I finished my lunch break and I’m already totally bored. Anyways, whilst walking back up the stairs (as I am being super fit) I started humming S Club 7 song – Don’t stop, I have no idea why? First I was a bit embarrassed, but then when I checked and there was no-one else in the stairwell I decided it was ok as if no-one hears no-one will ever know this happened, so please don’t tell anyone else, ta. It got me thinking that there were some fit girls in the band and we could have some good muppet show conversation about them with the compulsory photos . Plus I’ve just remembered that Bear sent me a PM bout a year ago saying that if I ever start a S Club 7 thread, I should also mention S Club Juniors who are by now old enough to also be included in the scope of this topic, but were less so back when they are juniors, I wonder what they are all doing now?

ok thanks, I have child locks on. I assume from Bearsys post you posted Japanese Hollyoaks version of that fat ginger one from a few years back.

I think Zep was attracted to MiltonRoader, as he arrived around the same time and then went off to get this life of his once Milton got taken back into care.

why can't I see nibbles

I like this idea, plus we'd get lots of crime scene phots to look at, good thinking Kelv.
-
True, but I was thinking that as Bearsy is now a proper main boarder we must be able to use him in some way to help get some more people in here. Where is Zep these days?, he seems to have escaped

*Like* Sorry to get in the way of the bickering, and I know that generally humour isn't allowed in the serious Lounge area, but Bearsey, this is great theory.
-
What can we do to get more people involved in the serious discussions going on within this sub forum area? Ideas please………….
-
Hey guys, is invisimod deleting all the posts from ladies, I can't see any of them?

Good one 76ers, Bearsy will probably be along shortly to try and persuade you to become a full member so you can tell top quality jokes more than three times a day

I think this might be the funniest thing I've seen in a long time +1 reputations point Bletchy

I didn't think anyone could hear bear crapping in the woods so it can't be that! More likely to hear bear fapping in the woods!
