+1 A few weeks ago it looked like we may never get to go back to Saint Mary's, I can't wait as well.
-
I should imagine most people that come back following any kind of self imposed boycott will just be equally as glad to be back watching their club. As for them expecting thanks for staying away, do you really honestly think that's what they'll want? They had their reasons for staying away, you had your reason for continuing to go to games. There are arguments for and against each choice, but hasn't this whole subject been done to death over and over again during the past few months?

If you want to go to the wetherspoons pub in Boscombe then get off at Pokesdown. Take a right out the station and walk along Christchurch road for about 5 minutes until you get to it, it'll be on the other side of the road just before you get to the pedestrian bit (Percy Florence Shelley). A few years back a load of saints went to an evening game in Bournemouth and got off at Bournemouth station and went to The Inferno which is a couple minutes walk towards the town center on Holdenhurst Road, nice for staying outside in the summer but as it's supposed to rain tomorrow I'm not sure that's such an attraction! Basically any of the pubs around Boscombe or between Bournemouth & Boscombe will be full of locals mongs, the pubs towards Bournemouth center are the more trendy ones where the students will be. Unfortunately as the closest pubs to Dean Court will be Bournemouth only pubs, the other options are a bit spread out and there is no obvious choice.

Assume NC would like Adams due to the skate connection

Me and my mate commented on this. It does seem like whenever there is a saints story on the tv they seem to pick some right weird looking yocal!

Clearly if you look at the poll as to who people 'would' want as manager (as I know you have) you'd see it's obvious the majority of people disagree with you. GS is by far the most popular choice of who'd we'd want, but don't let a user poll get in the way of your wind-up Anyhew, this thread is about who we don't want, so I won't digress further about who we do want. We'll see who else backs up your choices on the no thanks!
-
Who'd have thought you'd choose the two people that the majority of people would want as manager, it's not like you to go against popular opinion NC I'd be interested to hear your reasons for these two being the managers you'd least like as manager.

I think it means Scudamore likes the look of Mark Fry's bottom?

It's a welcome change from the past few years isn't it. Make the most of it

Don't think it's silly at all mate! I'm more of a lager drinker, but the Carlsberg at St Mary's is awful.

Or from a slightly different perspective, ever been in a high flying job where you've taken it as far as you can and fancy a new and more difficult challenge? I took over managing an office a few years ago that had loads of issues, but I knew it'd be a massive challenge and that I had a lot of scope to build it up. ps GH no thanks.

I think he was being serious. mods do we need a poll on this

After all the rubbish we've had to endure over the past few years, from on the pitch performances to boardroom rubbish and managerial guffs, I am going to make the most of the feel good factor and allow myself to dream over the next few weeks. No doubt when we give away the lead in the 90th minute of the Millwall game I will come back down to normality, but for now it's happy days.

The love-in will never last!

As I contributed very little to the old B-anter other than the odd pointless post, I can't decide if I should be upset or not for not being invited to the new one? It's not like there were any girls there anyway, so I guess in summary I'm better off now

Anyone know if you can still get BBC3 footage from anywhere after a week? (on i-player) I was on BBC3 last week at the beginning of the ting tings set at Glastonbury, however I've been ill all week so not got round to downloading it, however it seems to have gone now. Anyone know if I can get hold of any historical stuff? Cheers.

And there lies the problem, we are supposed to live in that kind of society, but in reality people can't wait to get the knives out without knowing all the facts. You only have to look at posts on this forum to see this happening.

My mate has a season ticket for Arsenal. Since their move, he refuses to call their ground the Emirates.

I have never had the slightest interest in actually going to Glastonbury before, I hate camping, hate mud, hate those hippy crusty folk with their hair in skanky dreads. Plus the thought of taking a dump in those portaloo things isn’t great. In fact on paper Glastonbury has always been a massive no no for me. However I love music and am getting more and more into bands. The past few years watching Glastonbury footage on BBC3 or online has got me into a few different bands. So this year (despite so many reasons for me not to go) I decided to go there and actually see what the fuss is all about. Although the cost of a ticket doesn’t appear cheap to many who have not been before, as Baj says, when you look at what you get for it, it is actually great value. I’m not so sure I totally agree with Baj about it being an arts festival. Although technically it is called an arts festival, I think the majority are still there for the music, but totally agree there is a lot more than music there to see and do if you want too. The one thing I didn’t do was have a look at a lot of the other stuff there, but personally I went for music so I had plenty to do as it was. I thought the place was fantastic, the size of the site was awesome, whilst some of the footage on TV does show it to be massive, you really do have to be there to realise just how big it all is!!! There are a few things I’d do differently next time, but yes I will go again. As for the music, I like the fact you get to see bands you wouldn’t usually see. For example on Saturday I thought the Gaslight Anthem were good, but I’d never heard of them before. I mainly wanted to see Bloc Party, yet my band of the weekend was White Lies who I also hadn’t really heard of, they were excellent. Sunday I sat and watched Enter Shikari, another band I didn’t know. They were not what I expected at all and even having heard them I can’t say I’d go out and buy their stuff, but, I enjoyed watching them as they were something a bit different. Overall, I found it a great experience and I will be going again next year. Thankfully there weren’t as many hippies as I’d expected there to be either, although maybe they were in their own little area Didn’t see any trouble there either, although I understand a few pillows and duvets were pinched from tents, but the best thing to do is not take anything fancy like that, just rough it with an old sleeping bag and use the rest of your stuff as a pillow.

My first glastonbury and I really enjoyed it. Shame about the rain on the Thursday night but I guess it wouldn't be glastonbury without the mud. Best Act - White Lies (Main act I wanted to see was Bloc Party and I loved them too, but purely as my surprise of the weekend I thought White Lies were amazing, so much so that I watched them on the Friday and again on the Saturday). Worst Act - Didn't think much of Friendly Fires but to be honest any band I wasn't up for, I just went somewhere else. Best Onstage Moment - Nothing that really stood out Best Offstage Moment - listening to the conversation between too lads in the tent next to mine at 4am sunday morning when one of them had just returned off his face and woken the other one. Festival Anthem - Glasvegas -Geraldine (although suprised they played it first rather than last). Act You'd Like To Play Next Year - Puressence

+1 My throat hurts, I'm tired, my boots are clean(ish) but my trainers are muddy as fook. It feels like forever ago since I last came on here and whilst I would say nothing has happened since I left home for glasto last week, in actual fact things seem worse now........ never a dull moment with saints is it, at least for another week until it may all be over.
-
Just realsied that the Doves who I also wanted to see are on same time as Bloc Party. Agree about the ting tings, but I'm guesing it's gonna be difficult to get from one place to another so I think I'll opt for the other stage on the Friday as it looks better (IMO) overall.

A Gratuitous Anti Pompey Thread To Help Cope With The Stress

I think they just wee themselves in their seat usually so no need for them to have bogs.
