  1. +1 3-1 bet by any chance
  2. That sort of atmosphere would be amazing, but sadly with the 'family' crowd uk football has it'd never happen.
  3. This bit made me lol
  4. It reminds me of when my mate spent the best part of a game thinking Paul Smith was Niemi (mind you he'd had a few beers apparently!). At one point in the game he shouted the usual Niemi, Niemi, Niemi.... at which point everyone around him shouted who are ya, who are ya, who are ya! Classic.
  5. I'm pretty sure he was joking
  6. :yawinkle: Good thinking, I expect we keep people awake when they are trying to snooze!
  7. At the Exeter game the guy beside me was shoting Papa's name during the first half, "come on Papa" "Turn Papa" etc, etc. I didn't have the heart to tell him, but did laugh to myself during the second half when Papa came on as a sub
  8. I know we still have to get past MK Dons yet, but 'if' we do get to the final, I think the club should split our allocation into areas, ie certain blocks for Northam regulars, etc so that we can get a decent noisy area together and the peoples who want to take their flasks and keep quiet can have their own area as well.
  9. 22/1 on sky bet! I like dem odds
  10. Don't be hard on yourself, you are not a plank
  11. Dear god your posts are becoming more and more repetitive and somewhat ironic too! If you are going to come up with arguments directed at the skates, they need to be better than that, that's just cringeworthy! Most Pompey fans are mongs - Next time you are at the football (be it when you are watching Saints or Plymouth), do a bit of people watching and look around you..Seriously. Pompey fans showing great delight in our plight.. never let us forget about it - Jeeez we are discussing this on a saints forum where there are getting on towards 5000 posts on a thread about them lot and their current plight, so we can't make out we aren't interested or showing great delight in them can we! Pompey fans ruined TED Bates min silence - If I recall correctly it was like a handful of people that did that, most of their fans thought that was a disgrace as well. Pompey fans sang "run away, run away" - lol 'football fans singing stupid derogatory songs at their opponents' shocker
  12. It's funny that Al Fahim made a 100% profit on the club buying it for a quid and selling it for two quid. Al Farage really needs to get at least four quid, so he can be seen to be a better businessman than Al Fahim! PES don't forget you are always going to feel the wrath of the more vocal few on here. I'm pretty sure the majority of Saints fans only want to see you lot struggling below us again and not go down the pan totally, even those that say they want your club to die I suspect, haven’t really thought it all through properly. I for one love the banter between our two clubs and whilst generally I dislike your club, I look forward to the days we can play each other again. We have no other fans that we have any kind of rivalry with and if your club was gone it’d be pretty dull being stuck on our on with no-one to laugh at (or be laughed at by, depending on our clubs situations at the time). I do find it ironic that one or two people on here spout on about how disrespectful you lot are as a set of fans as if you are all as exactly the same, or that they make reference to how much you all mocked us when we struggled earlier this year and that you are getting what you deserve now! Maybe…. But then aren’t they doing exactly the same thing now?!?!? What goes around comes around? Well maybe yes, but it could easily go around or come around again couldn’t it, maybe one day it will! (not for a long long time I hope!) And finally the crowd debate, where are your fans now, we can get 30k in league one blah blah blah! Easy to say now we are playing the best we have played for several years, have some good players, a billionaire owner, etc, etc. On many occasions last season I questions why I was bothering to go to Saint Mary’s as it was just awful. What a difference a few months can make….. Football fans, as a generalisation we’re all the same aren’t we (apart from the fish smell) but there have been (and no doubt will continue to be) many similarities between our two clubs! I am enjoying being a Saints fan again for the first time in several years and I wouldn’t swap our current position with your premiership status for anything. But I hope that your club manages to limp on just enough to ensure you continue to come on here PES and provide a bit of balanced banter and humour, along with the likes of mack rill and Merovingian. I’ve always found some of the skate posters on this forum (and previous versions of the forum) to provide some of the more funny posts, so keep on coming PES, I for one wish you much good luck (once you get to the championship & then subsequently in league one )
  13. My mate was able to pick up wi-fi from one of the boxes when we were in the Northam.
  14. Good post Psycrow, well said.
  15. There must be loads of people on here with no friends. Come on singles, get those last few seats filled, what else are you going to do today, other than feel lonely at a time when everyone else is happy. Come on down to St Mary's where you'll have 30 thousand friends
  16. No problem at all. This year, a one off payment of £5 into my PayPal account will be sufficient enough to show your thanks
  17. Hummmmmm maybe I should read all posts before I post!
  18. Wasn't there a 'going down' one with a pompey logo? Maybe a good time to bring that one back!
  19. I always find it funny how often you see odd trainers and shoes at the side of roads or on the hard shoulder of motorways (how do people lose a shoe whilst driving down the motorway!!!!) Clearly there is loads of rubbish that gets dumped/thrown/accidently dropped on the roadside and in ditches. Wondering what is the best/worst/weirdest thing you have found or seen at the roadside or near it? Mine was when I was about 13 or 14 I went for a cycle ride and on the way up a steep hill in the countryside I needed a p*ss. I went down the bank next to the road and there was a massive object wrapped in bin bags. I was intrigued (and slightly worried!) but I decided to open it and see what it was. It turned out to be a box full of European porn mags and vids, as you can imagine at 13/14 it was like finding treasure I think they'd been dumped rather than just hidden, but just to be sure I moved them further into the woods and spent the next few weeks going for a lot more cycle rides and slowly moving them home in small batches. Also have you ever lost anything weird at the roadside that someone else would have found and thought was odd?
  20. wooooooooooooooooooooooh haaaaaaaaa
  21. From the sun today http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2771817/Chelsea-make-money-order.html "CHELSEA have rejected Portsmouth's request for more time to pay the £750,000 still owed from Glen Johnson's transfer to Fratton Park. Crisis club Pompey asked the Premier League yesterday to lift their current transfer embargo - but the ban will remain in place until they can prove they are in a position to pay ALL of their outstanding transfer debts to English clubs. Premier League chiefs now look certain to withhold the £7.5million TV money due in January in order to settle Pompey's missed payments. Portsmouth, who are £35m in debt, agreed to pay £3m for right-back Johnson when they signed him from Chelsea in August 2007. But they have been unable to stump up all the cash, despite selling the player to Liverpool for £18m this July. The south coast club also still owes money over the purchases of Sulley Muntari, John Utaka, Lassana Diarra, Younes Kaboul, Nadir Belhadj, Mike Williamson and Tommy Smith. But in all those cases a payment schedule has now been agreed with the selling club. Chelsea, though, are not prepared to wait and have demanded their money immediately"
