  1. Play up pompey, pomey play up! Play up pompey, pomey play up! Play up pompey, pomey play up! Play up pompey, pomey play up! Play up pompey, pomey play up! Play up pompey, pomey play up! Play up pompey, pomey play up! Play up pompey, pomey play up! I admire that they can remember all the words.
  2. I was going to say this +1, however I'm not really hating this season, just starting to loose interest. I missed the Carlisle game because for the first time in ages I just couldn't be bothed to go. It was nice to have my Saturday back.
  3. For the love of god, how many times........ Pardew was not sacked because of results, he was sacked due to 'other' events.
  4. too true. My work mobile is on O2 and when I work from home I have to divert it to my landline before I get home as it's useless once I'm home.
  5. A chinese man has died after spending 3 days in an internet cafe, online gaming without sleep or food Am I a bad person for finding this man's death funny? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12541769
  6. It wasn't that long ago there were skates texting in and complaining that all they talk about is Saints.
  7. Certainly I don’t have any inside info on these latest rumblings, but I really wish I could get more people on here to understand just how important Nicola is to our future. Everyone seems to remember Marcus as our saviour and forgets that it was actually Nicola who got him involved and it was Nicola who was involved in the hard work prior to/during and after the takeover. Marcus was able to enjoy the club in his final days, but Nicola has been an integral part of the clubs fabric and continues to be so. He is determined to succeed with the target he was set by Marcus. Whilst I’m clearly going to be labelled as a Cortese lovvie, I have actually found some of his decisions in the past strange, but overall I am more than happy with where the club is currently heading. It’s such a shame that we can’t all just sit back and enjoy the club without these constant rumours, but regardless of if they are true or not, I’m relaxed, as whatever happens will be for part of the target for the plan to get us back to the premiership
  8. Agree with this, but just to look at it from a different perspective, maybe any potential sale would be because Nicola wants to move the club on, rather than the Liebherr's wanting to cut loose. From the Liebherr family point of view, whilst they are business people (and as such do not want to waste money) keeping the club ticking over nicely is a drop in the ocean for them. If it were the final wish of Marcus for them to back the club financially and get it back to the premiership, I’m pretty certain they’d continue to respect his wishes for a considerable period of time, as a mark of respect for him, regardless of cost. But what if they are just keeping it ticking over, but Nicola wants things to move faster? I said after meeting him that it was clear that he is passionate about the club and wants to ensure it’s successful. I am under no doubt that Nicola will be with us for a long time yet. As I said after the meeting, I am utterly convinced we are in safe hands. Nicola did refer in the media to the fact the he has other options financially and if there were to be any change in club ownership, I’m still convinced that those changes would be for the better and still with the goal of Nicola getting us back to the premiership where his good friend asked his to take us.

It's because there were so many people there that don't usually go, but had tickets linked to the Man U game! Those Jonny come lately glory boys know how it's done
  11. Just put the other one back on, he'll think differently.
  12. A few years back I was approached by the same guy with the same idea. We met a few times to discuss and work on the idea/character (although at that time it was called Dopeychio (a combination of Dopey and Pinocchio) , but in the end it just never came to anything. On the one hand I am pleased to see someone else has taken the opportunity and this Deppo thingy has been created, but on the other hand I just keep thinking, that could have been me I can totally understand the original posters questioning though, as most of the time I read Dopeychio's posts (as I still like to refer to him) and I feel warm and fuzzy inside, but occasionally it does seem like the bot has been linked up to a different server and is being controlled by an alternative source (but thankfully this doesn’t happen often).
  13. Great post, absolutely spot on. Whilst these sort of stories are mildly irritating, I would be gobsmacked if the Liebherr family sold the club. 1) It was the wish of their dying father that they progressed with his plans 2) They got to where they are by being good business people. Why sell something you own (and can easily afford to continue to fund) when you know that you can make it worth more in 4 or 5 years time. We should just ignore these stories, does it matter where they come from? Eventually the source will either get found out or get bored and realised that the club is bigger than they are.
  14. The problem with the southwest generally (and I say this having been born down there and spending the first 20 odd years of my life there) is that when it comes to sport, folk are generally more interested in apple bobbing, morris dancing and pasty tossing. Anyone who does show an interest in football when growing up will just support one of the big teams as there is no-one inspiring around that area to follow, It’s catch 22 really, as if more people did follow a local team down there, it would become bigger thus gaining more supporters. Would be good to see a team down there grow and become big, but it would take decades to happen. Come on Taunton Town!
  15. I did think it was odd that in the original post that there was no description of what actually happened, I guess we know why now!
  16. I’m not so sure about this? I kind of think that if a car can drive through one set of cones, it may be able to do the same thing when it gets to another set of cones?
  17. I nearly just put this straight into the muppet show to start with! Good point about the link, hadn't noticed that in my haste to get my story, I mean the story up!
  18. Mentally ill, or just a sicko? Discuss........ http://news.stv.tv/scotland/east-central/223138-man-left-lamb-dead-after-indecent-attack/
  19. I guess as this is in the muppet show this is a joke right? i.e. you are not seriously going to ban someone from the forum (even if it is just for the weekend) based on a poll and for no real specific reason? Jeeeez, if you are then that really is truly pathetic. If someone has done something that warrants a ban then they should be banned, if they haven’t then leave them be. There are always going to be a few posters that polarise opinions, purely because they are not afraid to stand out from the rest of us boring posters. Weather you love or hate these specific posters, at least they bring something to the forum which is more than many. Hell we have over 50% of forum members who aren’t even active, why not get rid of them all and stop them taking up memory/bandwidth, or whatever (I’m sure their membership must have some impact to forum functionality and performance. Hopefully I am taking this poll far too seriously and you can just all tell me to chill, but seriously if this is for real this really is low!
  20. I really don't understand why some people have a problem with this. I understand that death is a touchy subject for some, but really, when you actually think about this rationally, what is the problem? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-world/2011/01/25/plan-to-use-crematorium-to-heat-swimming-pool-is-branded-sick-115875-22873739/ UNDERTAKERS have branded plans to use heat from a crematorium to warm a swimming pool as “sick”. Bathers will be splashing around in hot water created by cremations, saving more than £14,000 a year in heating bills, if they go ahead. The council in Redditch, Worcs – which would be the first to adopt the idea – argues it is an eco-friendly and money-saving way of warming the pool at the Abbey Stadium. But funeral director Simon Thomas said yesterday: “I don’t know how comfortable people would feel about the swimming pool being heated due to the death of a loved one. I think it’s a bit eerie. “Trying to save money due to the death of someone’s family member or friend is a bit sick. “It will cause uproar and may even put people off using the facilities. It just doesn’t feel right.” The scheme would harness the left-over heat when the gas within the cremators is cooled down from about 800 degrees to 150 degrees. Council leader Carole Gandy said she understood that some people would be uncomfortable with the idea but urged them to consider it properly. “I’d much rather use the energy than just see it going out of the chimney and heating the sky,” she said. “It will make no difference to the people who are using the crematorium for services. I recognise that some people might not like it, but if they don’t, they don’t have to use our crematorium.” Gordon Hull, from the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities, said he was aware of numerous councils across the country which had looked at reclaiming waste heat from the cremators. He said: “From an environmental view it makes sense. You don’t need to use a separate boiler because of the amount of waste heat which is created from the process.”
  21. Brown and Black together, crikey Hypo!!! ......... lucky for you that the football crowd are a scruffy bunch generally, so you'll no doubt still look smarter than the average cat. However any fashion aficionados out there will have you believe that Brown and Black together are a bit of a no-no! I may wear my Scooby-doo costume Saturday (which thinking about it is also Brown & Black), if Scooby can pull off that colour combo than I’m sure you can too!
  22. Please can you confrim what colour you coat is? Also will you be wearing a t-shirt or smart shirt under it? Will you be colour co-ordinating your shoes with the jumper? Thanks in advance!
  23. Wow, there could be one of those "I was there when Alps was positive" moments tonight, this would p!ss all over seeing Delap score! xx
