Following on from what I just said, I think in a few years we will be bought by someone who wants to run us more of a hobbie than as a business and we will get more significant investment, but I don't really find myself warming to that position either. I hate the clubs like Man U and City who spend their way to the top - I guess there's no pleasing us!

Sadly I lost a lot of my interest when we were promoted. My main saints support was when we were scrapping around nearly being relegated season after season and the fight of going down the leagues and the fight of coming back up was so much fun. I feel we're reached our peak now sadly as the top of the Premiership is just fueled by billionaires throwing money around which our club aren't prepared to do. We work as a business rather than a cash cow which I think is totally fair enough but not very exciting.

If we hadn't signed him and Gaston, or if they had worked out to both be decent signings, I wonder how much more frivolous Kat would be with her cheque book? Sorry Nick. I never got your email and only just noticed this thread was still going. I ended up flying to New York and buying it from a watch dealer. Very pleased with it. It was pretty nerve wracking going to meet the guy but all worked out for the best in the end.

What a strange move. Everton have long been another Aston Villa in the prem for me. They're there, but easy to forget about. I feel the board have done more than enough to prove their capability in keeping this club moving in the right direction so feel that this was more on our terms than the media like to make out. I think we want long term commitment from everyone at the club hence the recent contract extensions of VVD and forster. I think Mane and Wanayama will be signing contract extensions or be following Ron out the door and I feel pretty positive that for once I genuinely believe it's the boards way or no way. They couldn't have done much more to prove this. Looking forward to see who comes in as a replacement.

I'm not. When I was 19 I saved up enough money to put a deposit down on a house for about £150k. When I looked for my first property I found a repossession which was only available as a cash purchase. As I didn't have the cash to pay for the whole house I gave what I had to my mum, she remortgaged her house so we bought a 3 bedroom house for me for a very good price. I've since been paying the mortgage off on her house. I own one house - the other house is my mums. That said, I wouldn't blame anyone for doing that if it saves them on the 'death tax' which I feel is completely unjustified - but that's a separate topic and another debate.

I'm not talking about tax avoidance. As I'm not making a gain its more paperwork sorting so its clearer for HMRC. Thanks for your input though.

Hi Guys, Wondered if anyone knew the answer to this - it would be really appreciated. In 2009 I became joint owner of my mums house which was 100% paid for. We then re-mortgaged part and bought another house which is solely in my name. I then had a mortgage of £150k which is nearly paid off. My Mum is now looking to sell her house which is still in our joint names. I have two properties in my name. Do I need to pay CGT on the sale of her property? Considering all the money made from the property will be my mums I don't see why I should have to pay capital gains tax when I haven't made a gain! Is there anything we could do to avoid this? For example if I paid off the remainder of the mortgage and put the ownership of the property back into her name?

Hi Guys, I'm looking to move from Lausanne, Switzerland to The Hague in The Netherlands towards the end of July. I've got a 3 bedroom house with 2 people living there. We've got quite a lot of stuff but not that much. Been quoted some ridiculous prices so far by some of these relocation companies. I wondered if anyone on here had any recommendations or offer such services?

Considering how underwhelming the excitement has been for me most of this season I'm amazed how the season is coming to a close. We could still push top 4!
