I'd find it very difficult to come out if I was a footballer. The amount of racist abuse you still hear being chanted - and you can't hide being an ethnic minority! If you come out and then have to suffer homophobic chants every game I wouldn't much fancy it as a career. It would be great if everyone came out together and then it would be near on impossible to single people out but lets face it - that's not going to happen! -
I'm really shocked at how unimpressed I am with this. I went out this morning and spent £500 on the console with Ghosts and Fifa 2014. I got it home and plugged it all in. Immediately I had to download a 700MB update before I could use the console. I then went to play ghosts - not on there. I had to download it. Ghosts started downloading at 10.30AM this morning and at about 4PM this afternoon finally finished. Fortunately I had fifa to play in the meantime which only took about 30 minutes to install (still ridiculous.) Every single one of the apps you can download bring additional cost bar 40d that I have been able to find. I've played fifa and COD and see very little improvement on the graphical interface over the xbox 360. Now I've played the opening scene of the campaign to ghosts and now it says it has to download more content before I can play any further. During the process of today I must have downloaded over 60GB just to play two sodding games. Playing games was never meant to be this difficult. Is this really the future of gaming? I've been waiting to see what they come up with next since I bought the xbox in 2006 and f*ck me am I disappointed. I've spent £500 on something so unspectacular I wish I hadn't have bothered. Both games seem very good, but I'd have rather just played them on my 360 and had a few less pixels and for as far as I'm concerned, a better gaming experience.

Thanks Buc for the links but I'm trying to avoid Renault and certainly don't fancy a Alfa - I used to have a ford focus same model as my link and it was a really reliable car. If it passes its test drive I think I'll take it! Cambelt is about £200 I've confirmed with 2 mechanics.

Hi Guys, Looking to buy this for whilst I'm back in the UK a few days a month: http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2004-ford-focus-18-lx-5dr/1040566269#photo-content To the car savvy guys on here - does this look a reasonable purchase? I've negotiated down to £1000 with the seller. I'm aware the cambelt will need changing once I've bought it which will cost me about £200 I believe - could anyone confirm this? Is there anything else I should check has been done before I buy it? Cheers! tss

I don't know. Sent from my laptop using google chrome.

Agreed RE Trevor. Awesome character. I love the gay undertones of some of his comments too. I think Michael is alright too. I'm afraid I don't like Franklin's character - he doesn't really fit into things very well IMO.

What a f*cking ar*ehole. I hope he rots in hell for this completely out of order statement. How can you not miss beans? I mean come on. Obviously a complete arse. -
He had a nice personality.

I live in Geneva which is horrendous too. The prices for beer vary depending on where you go, but unless you want to drink in a very dingey bar you're looking at about £10 for a pint. The difference between drinking somewhere crap or a 5* establishment isn't much. It's an odd place. Geneva has a few, and I mean only a few nice places but a majority of the place looks like it needs a damn good clean and there is very little to do. I'm sick of the place and am trying to get our office moved to Gibraltar.

Wow, why has no one mentioned Rory Delap? -
I thought he played really well. Still goes down too easily though. He's about the biggest bloke on the pitch and he's the worst for diving.

OK, so how do I stop it rubbing? Do I need to buy a new car?

Hello guys, I opened my bonnet today. 4th time since I bought the car 2 years ago pretty much. Love VW's. Anyway, on opening the bonnet I noticed that this bit as you will see below is getting heat damage. What can I do to sort this out? The cover on the underneath of the bonnet was red hot but I can't see any obvious way of making sure it doesn't continue to make contact with it.

Agreed. When I looked at our line up they were the two I felt were weak. They were the main culprits for our loss. We really do need to concentrate on getting a decent defender in. The rest of the team looks really good now and we have good backup from the bench.

New plans. Going to be working in Geneva and going to live in Annecy which is across the border in France. I've found a very high standard one bedroom flat for €1,150 including all bills - going to rent it (as long as when I get there and look around I'm happy with it) for 6 months. By all means no bargain but seems like a good starting point for me. Once I've familiarised myself with the areas between Annecy and Geneva I should be in a better position to decide where I want to live longer term. Any experience of mobile networks over there? I'm planning on taking out this contact with swisscom - http://www.swisscom.ch/en/residential/mobile/subscription-tariffs.4.html - 89CHF per month (about £65) but includes unlimited calls, texts and internet including calls and texts to the UK. Seems expensive but its a big move and will be worth it for not having to worry about dealing with things back home in the UK.

Hello people, Following on from my thread a few weeks ago - I'm moving to Switzerland in the next couple of weeks and am planning on driving over via the channel tunnel. I'm not sure how insurance is going to work. Would I need to take out temporary cover with my UK insurer and then once in Switzerland approach a company there to get insurance? How does this work? thesaint sfc

Thanks for the advice and links guys. Unfortunately it doesn't look like its going to be as simple as getting in my car, driving there and finding a flat to rent! Is car insurance generally higher or lower over there? Would I be better exporting my car or buying a new one over there?

I'm moving to Switzerland next month after getting a new job. Anyone lived over there before, visited, any experience of renting? I'm looking at flats in the Geneva area - looking to spend
