  1. Had a simaliar problem on a plane a few months ago... I wasnt allowed out for a smoke mid flight, I shall not be flying again! Considering the state of the aviation industry, and the lack of people flying due to the credit crunch, you'd have thought this situation would have been resolved to ensure customers flew again!
  2. With a game in hand & Forest & Blackpool still to play, Surival is now very much in our own hands. Win the game in hand, & win against either Forest or Blackpool and we are above the respective club we beat. We need to match their results, staying in touching distance, but we're not fighting a losing battle... not just yet.
  3. Best thing i have read on this site for ages hahah Class
  4. Mandric has also kept the wage structure at a "Championship Level" and as a result Mandric has personally had to pump over 14m in the club to keep it afloat, he wouldnt have had that kind of commitment from our board so I have to agree with you. He could be classed as "great" if he was operating at league 1 level, but he's not... he's got a championship squad in league 1. No one can compare the kind of job he would of done here on the basis of the job he is now doing at leicester
  5. He is on about 13k a week if gossip is to be believed x
  6. We need his wages off the wage bill...
  7. As mention chaps, for me that's just my point of view, I can of course complete understand yours, and for what it’s worth I think Lowe needs to go ASAP. Most now blame Jan for the poor performances on the pitch, yet when we lose to teams like Forest or Doncaster, why is the hatred aimed at Lowe during the game, and not Jan, who ultimately is making the decisions? RON, I think the comparisons to infighting under other manager era's is a little unjust, I'm not saying Jan isn't out of his depth, but Strachan & co who you refer to had allot more to work with. Channon's Sideburns, I'm not sticking up for Lowe in anyway, so please don’t accuse me of being a Lowe Luvvie, I personally think he came back to try & bring financial stability to the club, by doing so he has gambled with the footballing side by taking a punt on Jan which hasn’t paid off. However I believe his sole intention was to stop us going into administration, which so far, he has managed all bit it at the cost of footballing results. Due to the deep financial trouble we were in though, maybe this was to be expected? You pay peanuts, you get monkeys? Weston Super Saint, Complete agree, the only good thing about this club at the moment is arguably the fans. When we start fighting against each other, the club has lost everything. I don’t rate Lowe, but I try and clarify why at times I stick up for him, so that those who are fundamentally against Lowe can maybe at least understand at times why there are still Lowe supports out there, and if that goes some way to stopping the infighting then I will continue to do that.
  8. I think in this case Nick is spot on. Many fans blind bitterness towards Lowe, lead them to believe he is the ONLY reason we are in the mess we're in... When he's not the ONLY reason. I'm also convinced that many are now so infatuated with removing Lowe, that they don’t care that these protests could be having a detrimental effect on the team, and by protesting against the team during matches if it contributes to us going down, they don’t really care any more... as long as it results in Lowe leaving. The infighting on Saturday proved that for me.
  9. I think you're right UM, I even think we were above Serie A, not sure if that was the year Juventus were in Serie B which would have effected the average as well i'm sure.

  11. We are not paying Rasiak or Johns wages though... Stern Johns contract is up at the end of the season and he is now at Bristol City till the end of the season... and he's been told he isnt getting a new contract, John will never play for this club again, as I expect, will be the same for Rasiak
  12. I think thats pretty much spot on... I've a feeling we will go on a bit of a run, there's always a team that makes a late surge for the play offs, wouldnt it be great if that was us. Even if we dont make it, keeping the majority of this squad together next season & we could be real contenders! We'd have changed the whole emphasis of the club then, from journeymen to young hungry, technically gifted footballers who would IMHO be able to hold there own in the premier league.... such is the difference in the style of football they'd come up against.
  13. In all honestly, are you really surprised though? When fans are refusing to spend £25 to go to games when he is in charge, its hardly motivating him to put millions into the club. When fans chant for his head, he's hardly going to feel obligated to dig into his own pockets. If worst comes to worst, and the club has run out of assets i think the board will stump up some cash, but no doubt when they do they'll be calls of too little to late from sections of the fanbase. No one wants to be in the situation we're in, no one wants the split fanbase, but what are the other options... there arent any!
  14. Totally unsubstantiated! Have you even looked at the Annual report?! It’s a either that or not have a club at all at the moment!
  15. Are you talking about playing stability or club stability? Looking at the annual report we have very little choice than to put our faith into an academy we've invested heavily in! I’d rather have a club that loses at home to Burnley 1 week & wins away at Reading the next! (PS yes I know we didn’t play Burnley last week!) Rather than not having a club at all! At least with youth players we can sell them on if they perform in order to sustain the club. If we get journeymen after journeymen on free transfers, we won’t have any assists to sell off.
  16. No Lee Todd?!!?
  17. I dont think he lives in winchester, but I know he used to go to winchester service station to do all his research... bit random lol
  18. Game Ratings Kelvin Davies – 9/10 – At least 2 world class saves, looked unbeatable today, full of confidence and really enjoying his football, a complete contrast to the Davies we saw when he first moved to the club. Joseph Mills – 7/10 – Looked more comfortable than Lloyd James, over lapped well and offered an attacking option. Norwich had 2 very quick wingers & they used them often, Mills done the better job of keeping 1 of their wingers quieter than the other. Oli Lancashire – 8/10 – Looked very assured at the back despite 1 dip in concentration which lead to a fine save from Davies. Very impressed with him at the back and looked the more “experienced” head at the back despite playing next to Perry Chris Perry – 6.5/10 – Defended well but offered little in terms of distribution, held the line well. Lloyd James – 6.5/10 – Was troubled by a very good Norwich winger, seems to lack pace at times which results on him committing himself to early, does offer an option going forward and hopefully will improve. David McGoldrick – 8/10 – Deserved more than his 1 goal from the spot, really put it in today and if he was a little sharper would have grabbed a hatrick Adam Lallana – 9/10 – Started off slow but was running the game by the end of 2nd half, offers so much. Can take the pace out the game, can open doors, is always an option, his off the ball movement is top class, watch him pass then move and want the ball again to open teams up. Drew Surman – 8/10 – Despite him being an able left back, he looks so much better in midfield. Had a really good game today, covered soo much ground. Jack Cork – 7.5/10 – Played a superb Ancher roll today, linked the midfield & defence really well and again covered so much ground to allow Lallana the “free” roll Robertson – 8/10 – Started slow, but really came into the game and looks like a real capture. Reminded me of James Beattie at his best. Cracking finish for his goal and could have had another 2!! Pekhart – 5/10 – looked off colour, first touch was poor, not sure if he was injuryed or whether he was taken off because he was offering little up front. BWP – 7/10 – Played well, looked a threat, was a little isolated out on the wing at times but the effort was there. All in all, very very happy with the performance
  19. He's down often, family still live in Eastleigh Shocking isnt it... the worest thing about the whole situation is I swear I saw someone wearing EXACTLEY the same around town for an 80s fancy dress night at the weekend...
  20. He's always wanted to move back here. He told me we'd enquired at some point when Burley was in charge but couldnt afford him (whether that was wages or transfer fee I'm not sure) Wolves & Sheff Utd have been sniffing around for a while as well, even mention of Everton. Not at all surprised he's leaving Barnsley... hope he does well where ever he goes, I'll txt him to see if it is us, but seriously doubt it. A picture of me & Brian back in primary school... lol, before anyone claims that im just claiming to be ITK Brian on the left me on the right...
  21. agreed OWTS saints for 20 minutes is better than complete silence
  22. I wouldnt say he was out jumped, the difference was that the ipswich player had a good 20-30 yard run up on james who jumped from standing. To be fair, it was a cracking cross and a good header, probably the best goal of the game imho
  23. Fantastic posts made minutes after the final whistle from users who weren’t even at the game & wouldn’t have even seen the performance!!! We are playing the right way, we are showing encouraging signs, we are playing football allot better than we did last season & the results will start to reflect that. Have some faith guys, get behind the team FFS, we don’t have ANY alternative... this IS the best we’ve got so let’s start seeing a more positive attitude to a well fought draw which means more points on the board and something to build on.
  24. A little harsh. I will say that he does look like the weakest link in our team at the moment, he lacks pace and tireded early today. He will improve, he's had what... 5 or 6 senior games? Its a physical league, and as he gets older he'll learn to coup with it better. At the moment I think its a case of "best of a bad bunch"
  25. was lucky not to have broken the QPR players leg, awful tackle, both feet left the ground, in a posistion where you certainly dont need to dive in. Inexperience on top of an awful tackle deserved to go for sure
