  5. Don't log onto these boards anymore because of the crap some people write, it's good to see some people still have some common sense though!! Two good posts and how I see it
  6. That's pretty close id say, I reckon we will see tadic rested too
  7. When putting the debit into context, this is the key factor... "our ability to service it" No debt would mean paying higher tax on profits, sustaining debt means we can (to a certain extent) have better control over the tax we pay back, allowing that money that would have gone on taxes to be re-invested into the football club
  8. VVD was immense.... Utterly utterly immense what a player! Mane has the potential to be as good as he likes of robben and ribbery But my man of the match was pelle! Leading from the front, bring players into the game. Stunning performance
  9. People enjoying themselves at football! Whatever next! Lighten up for **** sake
  10. this.
  11. I agree with the sentiment but Luke is being paid £100,000 a week, where is he going to earn £100k a week after football? When the opportunity to earn that kind of money is available, players will take it. I think the term "it's a short career" is more around the fact that the window to earn massive money is relatively small. Most players do retrain after their career and try their hands at other professions, most have the opportunity to do so because they have the money behind them to do so.
  12. Looks like a career threatening injury, brings the transfer argument back into focus. You can understand why players decided to leave when big wages are on the table, when a tackle like this could end your career
  13. I don't think there's much difference between us & Spurs. We are quiet similar
  14. Wanyama to score and have a blinder today. It's one of those games.
  15. Anyone hear John Hartson on talk sport this morning talking about Callum Chambers? Called him a lost boy that doesn't look anywhere near an Arsenal Player and is a liability at the moment... Got a hammering off him!
  16. I think it was more a 5 - 6 weeks before he's back in training, being match fit obviously quiet a bit longer Normally it's a case of waiting to see how it reacts with rest, if it doesn't heal as expected then it's surgery. I'm sure surgery was the last resort.
  17. I don't get this ideologistic view that transfer spend has any relativity to success on the pitch! Comparing transfer spend is like comparing houses prices in Scotland to those in central London! It's a false economy, The mentality that you can buy success is ruining football and contributing to the ridiculous fees and wages we're seeing! Arsenal have it right in my eyes, but only if it'll improve your squad! The fact we haven't over spent should be seen as a positive!
  18. Lol, slammed shut... In that it's closed gradually over the course of months!!! Couldn't be further from the definition of slammed if they tried
  19. I wonder if it would have been Toby or VVD & caulker or Toby AND VVD & no caulker. Either way I think we have 4 CB all that can play at premiership level
  20. This is pretty ****ing wrong in my eyes! Sky were the ones that broke the Wanyama to Spurs story in the first place!! I dont know whether Wanyama handed in his transfer request on the basis of that story, or whether that story was a result of Wanyama handing in a request... either way that's an internal club matter. I dont see how its legal that they can impact the betting markets so openly, how many bets were made off the back of the sky story?!
  21. They're so deep it's going to be hard to break them down. Seem intent on trying to hit pelle at the moment, which is what we don't want! Strikers with their backs to the goal!
  22. Also, as has already been said, if he was the best we wouldn't stand any chance of getting him!!
  23. He's got a tummy upset!? What a load of ****!! Or sick, or diarrhoea... Suppose it depends how bad it is!?
  24. Agreed, but Arsenal are willing to pay it. He'll probably admit that he moved to early, those that advise him will probably say he moved to early but when there's big wages on the table and a massive signing on fee\pay day for all, how does he turn that down? He might break his leg the next day and never be able to earn that kind of money anymore. I think most take it because they're worried they wont be offered that kind of money again and they just hope that they'll be able to make that step up in quailty required for the top 4 clubs. ultimately, money talks and it talks the loudest
