  1. actual lol
  2. This remains such a bizarre thread. Sensible adults, who can obviously debate, use evidence and talk sense, trying over and over to reason with someone who is clearly deluded, a liar, a child, a troll, mental or all of the above. There is no way anyone is gonna make Sarnia change his mind in anyway, so whats the point in continuing this discussion. I keep coming back here, amazed at how much traction this thread is continually getting. I know Sarnia is talking nonsense and is wrong, and completely ignores all facts presented to him but it obviously doesn't matter how many mass killing sprees there are, how many gun-filled handbag wielding children eliminate their parents or straight up murders by the police there are for someone talking on their mobile phone whilst driving, talking to Sarnia is a waste of time. It was amusing, but everyone is generally taking the nutcase waaay too seriously (ironic - how serious do I sound now?!)
  3. That Independant report above doesn't actually say where the quotes came from, just that Ward was quoted as saying those things. Not read any other reports but assume they are the same, unless it says "Ward told us" or "Ward was speaking to xxx" then guess it'll be up in the air. They obviously came from somewhere but can't imagine it was an official interview!
  4. Interesting way to approach games. Cook says during their pre season friendlies, his players will intentionally give their opponents the ball so they can learn to defend better. Obviously very confident in his strikers abilities or putting out the excuses early for losses against inferior opposition... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/cook-eyeing-pompey-trip-to-the-sun-1-6755248
  5. This might have been posted previously, but I've only just seen it, and not gonna trawl pages of text to check, so apologies for any duplication - but it's funny enough to warrant being posted twice. Some old Spanish guy laughing in some interview, with added Brendan Rodgers LOLZ subtitles (I assume he isn't really talking about Lambert anyway!)
  6. The base structure for Tesco is half done. It's massive, and once finished, you'll barely be able to see Fratton Park from the road when driving/walking past.
  7. You won't see him - he is too rapid.
  8. Bit harsh saying he isn't good enough to even be on the bench when only a few years ago he was playing in a World Cup Final... he is the ideal sort of player to have on the bench, to come on and offer a bit of skill to try and unlock any stubborn defence. Whether he is good enough for a start or for us to sign permanently, not sure about that yet!
  9. Shearer to Newcastle, with Beattie coming the other way for £1m of the overall deal. No swaps ever since then
  10. That is the weirdest made up story I think I have ever heard. You sure it wasn't Ryan Gosling? Ryan Giggs? Ryan Babel?
  11. And while we're out it, are they going to rename the Premier League too? I'd be happy with Eddie in two years time. After all, he is the current reigning "Manager of the Decade".
  12. Good statistical article on Fonte's non-inclusion http://www.whoscored.com/Articles/zl-bpehepeqwlkrgka4eva/Show/Player-Focus-Saints-Success-Built-On-Solid-Fonte-Foundations
  13. Regardless of what the other guys have been thinking, said, playing etc, how does it make any difference whatsoever to our current season whether or not J-Rod is committed to us?
  14. We allowed two accounts each or can we just ban them both?
  15. That's exactly what I was going to say after reading that article. Good job I scrolled to the end of the thread first. As the game is televised, I'm sure the cameras will pick out those 5 blokes in orange t-shirts!
  16. I pop into this thread now and then for a laugh. I'm amazed anyone is bothering to still talk to Sarnia, and how many pages this thread has reached. He is clearly a child no?
  17. My pompey supporting mate reckons Wallace could go to a Premier League side for £750k. I can't wait to see him play myself - he must be awesome.
  18. Yeah, that Paul Scholes was too short for one. If only he was taller he could have forged a decent career in English football.
  19. ha Walker! No Bertrand is ridiculous. Gibbs, Baines and Shaw....? At least all the Liverpool boys are in there too.
  20. Yeah, but apart from that... (sorry - was thinking of Man City )
  21. At least Burnley...
  22. You do realise that form changes and that over the next 6 games, we won't all get the same number of points?
  23. That is a great video. Very entertaining. Looks like they are enjoying themselves but they are pretty much all rubbish.
  24. It's Premier League. How do so many people continue to get it wrong?! Sorry - just a bugbear of mine. But as stated, not currently allowed to bring in any loans. Free transfers maybe...? But then not gonna be anyone available! Let's hope Pelle regains his early season goal scoring prowess asap.

Saw the title of this thread and was going to suggest the same. Loads of "modern" boardgames that are getting more and more popular and make more traditional games like Monopoly etc look really dated and not fun at all. My chums all laugh at me, but when they play any of these games, all enjoy them and want to play again, as long as I don't get the really complicated games out (I'm looking at you Mage Knight). Sounds like you've found some rock climbing to keep you happy for now tough - certainly healthier than sitting around playing boardgames anyway!
