We noticed as well how at each of their 3 substitutions not one fan clapped, cheered, booed or anything, nor any of the players coming on or off made any effort to gesture or look towards the fans at all. Not sure if this is standard in Italy, or just that the relationship between the players and fans has crumbled to this sorry state of affairs. The time the ref blew the whistle for a foul but then Saints played on was amazing ( as outlined by saintwbu above in post #203) - how does that happen at this level?! He was such a bad all round ref. Really takes an impressive performance for both sets of fans to dislike the ref!

Just checked the last four league games we've played; we've faced only 3 shots on target throughout that period. That is decent.

The reason the chants started was that Pulis had made 3 substitutions, quite early on too, so no chance of a 5 min cameo for SRL. Pity he isn't playing compared to those ahead of him.

That can only help him. Those long trips abroad and extra games never helped him to ingratiate himself into the team. I love watching him play and hope he gets another chance - and actually takes it! Can't say I am very expectant he will do unfortunately.

Perhaps you could have gone with "invisible Fonte" considering he's now joining Villa. p.s He's not. I can't see Reed starting though, and I'd be surprised if he dropped J-Rod, as Koeman knows he needs gametime to rediscover his previous form. As Clasie played the U21 game, I reckon he'll start at vs Everton. With Romeu, he'll replace Reed on the bench (imo) but JWP probably even be ahead of them. Otherwise agree with your opinion!
