yeah I saw that from the Northam. He was lying on the ground for ages, eventually was wrapped in blankets and taken off by St Johns on a stretcher. Looked from our distance like some chest/heart pain or something, but no idea. Also, watched some over zealous steward tackle a Saints fan and pin him to the ground during the intial rush of fans onto the pitch. He struggled to get up a few times, and they started arguing whilst still wrapped around each other. By this time probably about 800 fans on the pitch, the steward starting dragging him back towards the pitch edge, but eventually just gave up and let him go. Dunno why he even bothered in the first place!

Are you sure he wasn't just waving considering he has 5 fingers on his hand? My personal defining moment would be beating Bournemouth, as it propelled us into 2nd for the first time, and knocked Bompey out of their stride, and set us up to (eventually) remain 2nd.

I was going to ask what you do for a living, but I think I have enough clues.

I'm sure someone with more time that me can dig them out but I am sure Adkins or Cortese (or both) said that we were looking and/or had made bids on multiple players in the Jan transfer window, but these were basically scuppered by the press speculation about AOC leaving and going to Arsenal/Man Utd/Barcelona (delete as applicable). This pushed up other prices, and made it impossible to Saints to sign someone without the price being ridiuclous. And I am sure we are 100% in agreement that we don't want Saints to suddenly start throwing huge (league 1 comparable) sums of money around for players that may or may not make a difference. Well, I am sure there are some people who would be quite happy for us to operate like P*mpey. Especially if they are players that are not even gonna be in our starting eleven, and are only "vital" cover that if we don't have, we'll lose every game for the rest of the season and not make the playoffs. Our form is still one of the best in the league, and we are on course to get 2nd currently. Injuries to our best players cannot be covered, the same as injuries to Rooney/Van Persie/Lampard also cannot be covered, as they are some of the best players for their teams, and teams generally suffer without their best players. I really cannot see the argument that Saints decided not to sign any additional players out of "arrogance" - that idea is just preposterous (an underused word imo)
