So if you've been before, and he mentioned actual figures, then it is quite likely he would have mentioned figures again. Makes the whole thing more believable. Especially if someone on some other forum has agreed too.

ha, vindication! Thanks actual chum So no one actually knows anyway whether this is true or not until we get confirmation from man-who-was-there (sorry, forgot the name and can't go back a page now typing! or can I?) I don't believe it is all true, but there is obviously a lot of stuff in there that is correct and its not all made up! £25k wages sound about right to me for top earners at our club, as we would have wanted to keep Lallana happy for example. I am less inclined to believe Kelly Smunt (from above) who was invited but forgot to go than the stuff from random person on twitter!!!

That says it is a loan deal. So surely it can still be concluded though? Or was the deadline for Prem teams related to all permanent and loan deals?

I'd like to see us get some promising youngster, who would not be first choice, and know that, but want to prove himself, and get a season long loan organised with a view to a permanent deal thing thrown in too, so then he will have a season to ingratiate himself with the squad, and could be a long term replacement (in a perfect world) for Connolly for our promotion push next season.

I don't think a youngster would be told he will be starting a full day ahead of kick off - he would obviously just be included in the squad, and thus be on the way to Swindon, and have no idea if he would be starting or not. Not like he'd be giving much away to our opponents by saying he was on the bus. How does the "traditional" song thing work then? Is it to be part of the sqaud or the first team?

I rewound it and laughed a lot at the highlights for the Leicester game yesterday for our first game, when Lallana turned the defender inside out and he had no idea what he was going to do, and just ended up falling over in confusion. Shows how good Lallana is!

Guly is not being utilised as a striker because we have Lambert and they would be filling the same position. Theoretically, I'd like to see Lambert unavailable for a month, and Guly play his role to see how he gets on to show how we have depth in our squad already. Still, doesn't mean I don't want another striker though!

If you had also been speaking directly to Maynard, then yes. Reading his sentence might have been helpful to understand this.

I like the cut of your jib Columbo. I don't think any Saints fan could realistically, unless baiting people, say that they think all of the above players were not good enough for the Championship. Also, unless taking the pi5s for the prediction competition, why predict victories in every single game for the entire season? Even if your ascertain that Lardy is Ho proves to be incorrect, he is an odd kettle of fish regardless, and makes a strange Saints fan.

Glad not everyone rates him! I think he is massively overated too, guess he could still do a job for us in the Championship, but too disruptive an influence from my opinion, judging by previous occurances. He is one of those that people that I always steer clear in fantasy football competitions coz I just don't rate him, and I wonder why others buy him.

I saw a clip of about 15 youths trying to break into some shop, by pulling up the metal shutters (idiots). But not one of them was black. Its class, not colour that is the constant.

They certainly did last season, as I live in Portsmouth (sadface) and use Fitness First in Fratton. Literally opposite the stadium. On the odd days off I had midweek, or sometimes weekends (I think) I used to see around a dozen or so of the youth team working out in the gym, all in Pompey training gear. Presume they still "exist" as a youth team this season too, but they did look very young, and not sure I'd want them filling up my bench if I was a Championship manager. Still, needs must and all that. I'm still laughing too by the way. 6 million. Blimey.

Apparently now it isn't today, actually within the next 2 days. According to DarrenArsenal1, who has updated his post on Phil McNulty's twitter thing. So again, nothing factual yet.
