Exactly, people saying this not being reported anywhere, followed by photo shop proof of this or that. Just utter nonsense, don’t really get it.

Not a twitter user but thought I would have a look. First standout, JWP is all but signed for United, £40m. There is reply after reply lapping this up. Been seen in Manchester, had his profile removed from our squad on our official site, amongst other nonsense claims. That place is nuts, people just seeking attention. Hard to wade through the shit to actually get any proper info. Think I will stick to the updates on here.

The coverage tonight has been very much Newcastle United TV! During the game and in the studio! -

I was disappointed when Mara went off. Looked really lively. -

Odd half for me. We have done ok without doing much. Diallo has been so frustrating, so good with some of his tackles and interceptions but keeps giving the ball away! Liking Alcaraz, Lavia holding with JWP and Alcaraz as 8’s could be the way forward. Orsic, looks a bit lost at the moment, caught between pressing and dropping in, his timings are all wrong. On the ball I expect him to be a risk reward player but he hasn’t seen much of it yet. Good from Salisu, he has had a lot to deal with, and I have been impressed with Mara, some good touches, looked very quick and sharp and has worked hard putting himself about. step it up a little second half with better control of the ball and we can get a win. -

Just going to say the same. Looks to get forward, sharp and good touch. -
You know one thing for certain by now, Nathan Jones is giving the opportunity with us everything he has. He looks to be learning as he goes and, after the last few games, doing a decent job of it. Many of us have said how worried we were after the Forest game. It really looked like we were in series trouble with a manger who wasn’t capable of sorting it. The City game was amazing and showed Jones could get this team playing. To follow that with a win at Everton, in what was a very seriously nervy game, backed up the City performance. Outside of set pieces, we definitely look better at the back, much more difficult to play against and score against. We have signed two attacking players and our captain has been given a new lease of life. The last week has been great, I am getting excited about the rest of the season! We have a low starting point so 17th is great but what can we do in the cups?
-
He didn't have great debut with the ball but I loved what I saw from him, received the ball in good places, drove forward and broke in to the box a couple of times, which is promising. I think he looked nervous, taking everything into account it was a surprise he even got on in this game. What I loved most was how the team spirit shone through. The celebrations for JWP free kick and when Alcaraz made the front post block. He was loving it, celebrating with and receiving praise from his team mates.

If we follow that with 20 from 18 to finish the season I think we stay up. Winning this game would be such a boost. Going into the three cup games after 3 points against Villa will give us so much confidence. With us in a far better position in the league the players can really go for the cup games. With five big games in 15 days the two new additions are really going to help with squad rotation. Alcaraz and Orsic should both see a fair bit of playing time. Im really looking forward to this next two weeks. A good fortnight and we could end up having an amazing season. After what we have seen so far, it’s strange to still be in both cups and only 2 points behind 14th. Writing that makes me think about how crazy this season is!!

Well on top just need to start creating some chances. go top for an hour with a win!

Me too, so worried after Forest, then the interviews that followed. Like the football, the interviews have been better since and I’m really warming to him. He is a bright bloke and clearly identifies issues in game and feels confident he can adjust. He seems to be relishing the challenge. Sounded much more like a premier league manager. Amazing what 3 points can do for everyone.
-
Just watched both parts of his interviews and I liked what I saw from Jones. He can’t say ‘yep, we were fucking shit against Forest’, but I think he knows we were. He is saying let’s draw a line and move on together, I like that. He took a much more conciliatory tone. He has shown what he is capable of last night with this team. He has given us something to get behind and believe in. He seems so determined to succeed here and is talking confidently, and quite well, about improved performances. He looks to have a real belief in what he is doing and confidence in achieving it. What we have seen this week, both performance and new signings really is a massive boost. To go from where we were after Forest to where we are now has been crazy. One of the worst performances I can remember seeing to one of the best 90 minutes for some time. 3 points on Saturday with a similar performance and I am a born again Jones guy!
-
I’m not. You don’t need to be Welsh to realise that is a dumb, unnecessary comment.
-
What a small minded prick of a comment.
-
I think a lot of fans were underwhelmed by the Jones appointment but I was prepared to give him a chance and was optimistic coming back from the World Cup. By the end of the Forest game I was totally despondent and didn’t think there was any hope of avoiding relegation. Didn’t see anything from Jones that made me think he would be able to turn it round. Finally we saw some progress against Palace, then last night was something else completely. I think it was fair to criticise Jones as things did look very bleak. Some of the personal comments, wishing we would lose to bring about his demise were over the top and totally unnecessary. After Forest we had not been given a glimmer of last nights performance and had nothing to believe in. We aren’t going to play that well every game for the rest of the season but we now know Jones can get a tune out of this team and that gives us, well me, belief for the rest of the season. 3 points Saturday will go along way to cementing that belief as, all said and done, we still haven’t got a single point in the league under Jones.
-
Is this a one off performance? is this what we can expect going forward? Maybe not the level we saw tonight but if we can play with the same attitude, tactics and confidence. The way we have played so far this season we should be cut adrift but we aren’t.
-
Watch a few things from Orsic. A minute or two after coming on he was shouting and pointing to JWP and KWP about who to press. The guy has been talked up by dynamo fans as a leader. In his little time in the pitch we saw that already. Can only be a good thing for this team.
-
Wow, what a great performance. That is as good a 90 minute performance that I can remember. Fair fucking play to Nathan Jones! After Forest he was a dead man walking and getting so much stick, to get that performance from this team is wizardry! I’m so happy my time of doubting Saints is over and only lasted a week or so. I’ve told my daughter that Saints are likely to be relegated and probably won’t be in the premier league next season. After that, I know a Nathan Jones team can put in a quality performance. Hope is back!
-
Every player looks so much more confident!
-
Great performance so far, City have had nothing. Now we are seeing in game tactical adjustments from Jones. After the Forest game I really didn’t think Jones had this in him. Best half for some time. Not just the effort and composure shown by the team but seeing Jones is able to tinker effectively and against Pep too. If this is the future with Jones, my belief in staying up is back on. Whatever this ends up as, it is City after all, there has to be some belief in what Jones can do. Produce that sort performance for the rest of the season and we will be gravy.
-
We have started to try and play a bit more football and look far better. Bit of fight too.
-
This is so much better

Not usually one for slagging the team but they are right. This football is shit.
