I can’t believe how much seeing Adam Amstrong still on the pitch is winding me up. My daughter keeps telling me to calm down!
-
Has to be an injury, Alcaraz was our best player. When I saw we had gone to a 3 it was obvious he would replace Armstrong!
-
That is about right for JWP. In recent years he scores 1 in 5/6. Moi however, 6/1!! I thought he would be double figures at least!
-
Your post has inspired me to place all the money in my bet365 account on Moi to score anytime @ 6/1. 6/1, I know crazy right! I had £1.02 left!

Same here. Last 15km should be during half time but I am less enthused by the football, hopefully the two players who have looked like creating/scoring will be on the pitch second half. Who do you fancy for the win?

Really good game, can’t believe it ended 0-0. So good to see that kind of performance. Patterns of play, good defensive shape and a central midfield that is able to keep the ball moving and press and win the ball back. Lavia is such a good player, so comfortable on the ball and skilful too. He is strong, quick and showed good stamina today. Lavia and JWP together is a quality midfield 2. Walcott got in some great positions but as always the last pass or finish just wasn’t there. Janny had a good game, we looked relatively solid defensively, Bella played very well. We can finally see some patterns of play, mixing the short and long game and creating overloads out wide. Some good passing moves and third man runs. If today is the blue print then we will be in games were we wouldn’t expect to get results. I hope today wasn’t another false dawn but as disappointed I am we didn’t get the win, I would have been very happy with a draw before kick off. It’s the performance that pleases me most, with some extra confidence I hope we can start scoring our chances. Today didn’t look l anything like what this team, these players have shown this season. It reminded me of good times Ralph ball. I so want this to be what we see for the rest of the season, if we do, we can definitely stay up!

Looking at the three teams we can finish above, Palace are the team to come back in to it. Their fixtures over the next ten games are Split in two halves. Next 5 are very tough and it’s quite possible they could come out without any points. On the back of that they have 5 games against relegation rivals, with low confidence and the press speculating about the future of Viera the timing of their slump could really suck them in.

Selles said in the pre match that he hasn’t had much time to completely change everything. Going back to 4222 I was not surprised to see two players start in the 10’s who had played that role under Ralph. Hoping that with a bit more time Charly will be replacing Moi in the 10 position.

I agree, just saying there could be more share holders. There could be any number of set ups here. The long and the short of it is that Dragan is ultimately the end boss.
-
My company has two directors but I am the only one with ‘significant control’. Could be any number of share holders.

Having said that, looking at the time of Charlie’s post, his came first. A subsequent post on twitter say the first tweet was copied from a post on Saintsweb.
-
I saw a post on twitter saying the same just before Charlie posted on here. Maybe got it from there.

He is not so bad that he would only play with 10…..
-
His hubris has really put I’m in a corner. We should expect to see some clear changes on the pitch and improved performance. If we lose again how does he explain it then? A real part of me is thinking ‘Ok, right, no more messing around go full Jones, let’s see what you got’. The rest of me says he has shown enough and needs to be replaced before this game. We could all do with some entertainment and a heavy defeat at Wolves should produce a very interesting post match interview.
-
I know you are not defending him and that does need to be a consideration but….. That is not the reason Jones gave. We need to manage Lavia 100% but by using judgement not just saying whatever the state of the game and Lavia, take him off after 60 minutes. As I said though, that isn’t the reason Jones gave, He is on a yellow and, oh yeah, it’s not like he was playing that well either!
-
It is difficult to find positives yesterday but if there was 1 thing you could be positive about was the 18 year old in the middle of the park. You saw a quality player and, at the time he went off, the only player that looked like being able to unlock the defence with a pass. Keep him on. He has to learn to still be effective while on a card. Viera didn’t go off when he was booked or Keane or… He was playing well, trust him, if he fucks up I’m sure he would learn from it. We need Lavia if there is any hope of survival, this could have been a good show of trust from the manager to a young player but has ended up with this!
-
Totally wrong! He was playing well, getting balls forward. Jones is creating false narratives to explain/justify his actions. Not a good look for a Premier League manager. Not sure many last too long after these sort of interviews.
-
Disappointing to hear him call out Lavia. Totally unnecessary.
-
What part of this set up and performance is aggressive and front footed?

Wrong set up from the start. No excuse for playing a 3 after everything we have seen since Jones has been manager. We are clearly a better team in a 4. Alcaraz and JMP had nothing in the first half. We have to play 4 at the back, we are shit with 3 centre backs!! I really want to give Jones a chance but he got so much wrong tonight. I have a theory that may have played a part in that line up tonight but that first half was dreadful. -

Once he has that touch he has to score! -

Not usually a fan of all the moaning about starting line ups but got to say I’m very surprised by that team. Disappointed to see a back three and not sure about the centre backs he has picked. Hopefully they have learnt to play the back three better than their last try! -
Almost the same for me. I had Salisu in for DCC. Don’t really mind either way.

Like I said haven’t really ever used it, just searched under #saintsfc and it’s a mess. That was really my point, better seeing the filtered updates on here rather than trying to navigate twitter.

At least with the updates on here there is a little filtering. Most of twitter seems to be a wind up.
