Bloke infront of me did it for a bit last season and put one crutch either side of him, just about enough room for the people behind. Obviously depends where you sit, but as long as you get there early enough and don't mind waiting around a bit at the end to patiently leave, shouldnt be a major issue.

If Mellis gets in the starting XI on Saturday I'll really begin to doubt Pardew, thought he was woeful today. Although a minor point, I fail to see why we name two centre backs on the bench, surely we'd be better off having options such as Paterson, White etc?

Was by far our best outfield player last season IMO.

Out of interest did a quick Google search on him, and he's made just 6 appearances in the last 18 months for a team in Greece's 2nd tier! How the (un)mighty have fallen...

Thats what you get for looking out for your family... Wish him a speedy recovery, for all his weaknesses on the pitch these pale into insignificance, we need to remember he is a husband and father off of it.

A lot of people around me were criticizing him, but i thought he was excellent in the air, and although his distribution wasn't great, thats what we have players like Morgan etc for infront of him. We've been screaming out for a dominant CB for ages, and at last we have one (allbeit temporarily).

Although I am delighted to be signing someone like Hammond, we desperately need a right winger! If we keep Holmes and get Mills fit then we're sorted down the left, but Thomson is the only recognisable right winger, and he doesn't seem up to it at the moment. James isn't the answer, ideally we need *gulp* somebody like Dyer. Any idea of how decent McLaggon's delivery is, could he be the answer when he's fit?
