  1. From memory, wasn’t Rose recommended to the club by Le Tiss & Benali, as he was the first player they signed for their management firm? If so, it’s likely they’ve also been influential in recommending Jack to their old pal Maik.
  2. Maybe they’ll put a relatively low (£22mill?) buy back clause in - agree it does seem strange to let him go though.
  3. Agree, always saw him as a potential Davis replacement until the new formation. His attributes don’t really fit playing in either the first or second ‘2’ really.
  4. We’d be getting robbed with the “less than £10mill” they both hope to get him for. Couldn’t begrudge him a move to either of those clubs, however if we can get £15mill for either him or Targett I, and most, would rather sell the latter (appreciating differences with age, contract length etc).
  5. Poch has openly said he’s not in his, or indeed the clubs, plans. Probably similar wages to Austin so if we can ship him out wouldn’t mind Vincent until the end of the season at least.
  6. If it is Hasenhuttl then surely there must be something in the Paul Mitchell links? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. For me it comes across as the opposite. As the statement only says Davis is in charge specifically for the Spurs match and not the foreseeable future / interim, I reckon we’ll have our new man in charge Saturday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Who was that French scout we brought in recently? Maybe the ‘scouting’ role was all a cover up for a speedy promotion to DoF?
  9. Big Dave is on leave for Sunday’s game, so randomly the summariser will be Jo Tessem!
  10. Would much rather they get someone like Benali or Dodd (both who do/have done media work) in to do Dave’s job....at least we’re unlikely to have to hear him refer to Forster as ‘Foster’ anymore!
  11. AFCB have started using them, but requesting fans don’t take them home and leave them behind for the next game!
  12. When you say all Premier League games, do you mean all 380 of them, or just those broadcast on Sky / BT Sport? And what’s the quality like? I’d only really be interested in Saints away games plus the odd game shown on Sky or Bournemouth matches, so not bothered about any other aspects of IPTV’s such as movies.
  13. At least he can beat someone.
  14. You could tell from his embrace with wee Ross in that video that this wasn’t the first time they’d met - like our other summer signings he came across well, just wonder why it took so long to go through when we’ve pretty much paid the price the Scousers were asking for all Summer? Interesting selection headache though with everybody available (although there’s still time for Gabbi to move back to Italy which I guess is a possibility to balance the books).
  15. Sceptical about the cost next season but trying to be positive and look beyond that for now. However, you do wonder the quality of striker we could have got if you combined his and Carrillo’s fees together...
  16. Well our press is saying loan with a VIEW to a perm move, so guess we’ve got to wait and see!
  17. To be fair to Bournemouth, I remember them being linked with Lerma just prior to the World Cup.
  18. Spurs linked with him over the past few days, possibly replace Dembele.
  19. Still not fancied by BT Sport then! At least it gives the moaners one less thing to cling on to if it means more Saturday 3pm games.
  20. You could argue the millions of pounds we pump into the academy each year has been developing players for other League One / Two clubs in recent seasons, bar minimal exceptions...
  21. Would rather him than Welbeck, but I’d be surprised if we did a deal at this stage.
  22. Any different / better than Pied? He was brought in as a versatile right back - would rather save the dough to put towards a (predominantly) forward player, especially considering how well Targett did in his right wing back cameo yesterday.
  23. Also an advocate of how we had the lighting this evening! Whether we’ll be allowed to have it like that in the Premier League will be discovered in the Brighton game.
  24. Not Forster or Redmond.
  25. Although you wouldn’t exactly call it a fall from grace, I do always wonder about Slattery - was meant to be the next big thing, but whenever I’ve seen our U23 teamsheet recently, he’s not been in the starting 11. Still lots of time to change that, mind.
