The last time we gave our players a rest we were diabolical in the next game against Sunderland and lost some momentum...unless we have injury doubts over any players, we need to play the best 11 possible.

Thought Chambo would get a booed by some (as this was the reaction some gave him at the Emirates) however I'm glad the idiots kept quiet and thought the reaction of both players was brilliant and not 'milked' at all.

A genuine question for all those wanting a new goalkeeper, who would you go for? The much hyped Butland made a mistake today that directly resulted in conceding a goal... I'm glad Boruc has finally got his chance, will be interesting to see how well he does against Chelsea at the weekend (presuming he starts again).

I didn't see much wrong with bringing on Richardson, he's decent going forward but would offer more defensive protection than Punch/Mayuka/Ramirez. Yes Stoke only had 10 men, but they had 4 strikers on the pitch. It's something managers like Bentiez do regularly (see the number of times Ferreira has come on with a few mins left for an attacking player since he's taken over to protect a lead). Saying that, I would have taken Maya off after their 3rd for Mayuka and out Richardson at RB to offer more of a threat down the flanks. Davis worried me at crosses & set pieces aswell..... Overall disappointing not to come away with 3 points, but not as frustrating as the results we threw away against Swansea or Norwich IMO.

Didn't set the world alight at Wigan, but quite strong and physically solid, so could be a decent option if higher profile targets don't work out.

I've noticed in the last couple of games our stewards make a half arsed attempt at making the away supporters sit down...

Gazza is definitely fit at the moment, just not being selected. Whether this changes for Saturday remains to be seen!

I'll take that, we showed some promise in the second half with a lot of 'nearly' moments. If we can play like that for 90mins on Saturday then we should be on for at least a point.

4-2-3-1 formation with Rickie up top and three from Punch/Ramirez/Mayuka/Guly behind him. Not ideal, but for the next 3 games at least it's all we'll have to play with. It should still be a team good enough to get 3 points against Sunderland..

Pretty sure this will be on tv, its almost a certainty that they show the holders 3rd round game each year.

Really don't know why this game couldn't be moved to Wednesday to allow us extra preparation time...surely it's the same principle as us having to move the Spurs game from Sat to Sunday?
