  1. This was on The Echo: £40m-ish to buy it all, lock stock and clear the debts, plus a bit more for running it?
  2. Solent FC? Hampshire United? Southampton Academicals? Lincoln City or [ironically] Notts County/Forest are my locals, but I can't bring myself to support them.
  3. Anyone else miss Premier Manager? Ultimate Soccer Manager? USM was one of the first where you could graphically upgrade the stadium, sell sponsor hoardings etc. I wish something like that was in current FM games. I moved from the Premier Manager series to CM, and I still remember the PS1 Premier Manager 98 save taking up all 15 memory card blocks....and needing to sign Miguel Nadal (on a free from Barcalona) to do well in a season.
  4. Indeed lol. The games I remember most from the 65XE were Zybex (sidescrolling flying jetpack guy, like R-Type I guess), and Ghostbusters, that was class. And a text adventure that the name excapes me at the moment (I remember basic graphics and a load of stripey walls in most of the rooms you walked into).
  5. Atari 65XE Binatone thingy (dial with pong/hockey/footy clones) Phillips GT9000 MegaDrive (x2 or 3) Gameboy Gameboy Colour Gameboy Advance Saturn N64 Dreamcast PS1 PS2 PSP Xbox Xbox 360 PC
  6. Erm.....aren't we undeated in 4 games? How does that compare to recent form tables of other sides? Don't be so damn negative - I'm sure we'll stay up on this form.
  7. Everybodies heard that the bird is the word.
  8. The sudden stop.
  9. Yep, and all the other cartoon tie-ins too, like: Quackshot with Donald Duck Mickey Through the Ages Fantasia Earthworm Jim Ren and Stimpey, Stimpey's Great Invention Bart vs The Space Mutants Krustys Super Fun House D!ck Tracy and the legendary World Cup Italia'90, and the Fifa series. I think the last one to come out on the MD was either Fifa 96 or 97, I'm sure I have 95 somewhere. I've certainly got Fifa 96 on the Saturn....2D sprite players in a 3D stadium, and Motty saying ''EA Sports presents, Virtual Stadium Soccer'' before every match....
  10. Fatal Labrynth was a simple and plain fun dungeon crawler....I have a MD emulator for my phone (Picodrive) and re-living it (and have a MD in the loft somewhere). Anyone remember: James Pond: Robocod? Desert Strike/Jungle Strike/Urban Strike? F22 Interceptor? Abrahams Battle Tank? 1942? Mercs? 688 Attack Sub? Castle Of Illusion? Micro Machines? Bubsy the Bobcat? Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP 2? Road Rash? And I think Streets Of Rage 2 was the best of the bunch. Damn it, I'm going in the loft this afternoon!
  11. Yay for internet fighting! I like the two wins, but to say he's a saviour so soon is just a tad premature. I'll save judgement for after the final whistle on the last day of the season.
  12. Steady on...
  13. Race Pro out tomorrow, from the reviews and word from people who have it, its VERY sim-like in terms of handling. Great news as I like rFactor, LFS, GTR2, GTL etc on the PC, and I thought Forza 2 is too arcadey for me.

    Robiniho

Naughty naughty, (assuming the allegations are true) did he leave the training camp to run away from the huge poopstorm thats about to break?
  15. Race Pro, and I'll try and pick up Skate 2 at the same time.
  16. Thats it then.
  17. Ian Holloway has been speaking so much sense right now, saying we have no shape, and no experienced players around to take some of the burden off the younger players - constant losses destroys confidence.
  18. Brown envelope?
  19. If he did it and its proven in court, it'll be a fine and a suspended sentance IMO.
  20. A lot of my Forest supporting mates aren't happy with him (cos of the Derby connection), but think he's the best man for the job, and a better candidate that Clough Jr. I would have welcomed him here. He might be a long-ball manager, but I wouldn't care as long as it turned the club around.
  21. Mark Hughes? Andrei Kanchelskis? Uwe Rosler? All not that sucessful, but big names nontheless (later in their careers though). And as much as I hate the guy, Glenda was a massive signing.
  22. Statistics can be twisted and presented to support any arguement.

    Gary McAllister?

Thats what the Leeds board thought.
  24. With the engine off, make sure nothing is in front of you, put it in gear and turn the engine over. If the car moves forward, then its likely to be just the clutch release bearing on the way out. If it doesn't move (or moves after a couple of turns of the engine), then its the clutch.
  25. Arcade means no HDD (but 256mb memory card), one wireless controller and some XBL arcade games on disc. But because of Woolies going under, you can't shop online.
