Thats a good point too, along with decent wages, a core squad that get along with eachother and have a bit of banter are likely to be happier, and want to stay together, as well as going that extra step to want to chase down a ball for the team, put in a foot for the team etc. Le Tiss's book says how his days under Bally were great because there was a good sense of everyone playing for eachother, and the longer they have to work out how eachother play, makes a big difference.

I'm a motorsport fan so I have a view of that area: Likes - David Croft - Anthony Davidson - John Hindhaugh - Ben Edwards - Toby Moody - Julian Ryder - Martin Haven - Jamie Whitham - David Addison - the whole FOX NASCAR team (Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip) All have a deep understanding of what they are talking about, you know they are fans and racers away from the broadcast booth. Dislikes - Murray Walker (in his later years) - Charlie Cox (''Nightmare in a bubble car'' every weekend) - Tim Harvey (gets a bit star struck by some BTCC drivers, even though he's an ex-BTCC Champ) - Carlton Kirby (no, please god no!) - Paul King (''SEBastiAN LeOB!''.....''MARcus GRONholm'' etc etc). - Jonathan Legard (he forgets he's on telly and not the radio, and tries to fill every second of airtime with inane talk: ''up the hill, round the corner, look at that'' etc etc). And loads more I can't stand.

I decided to set myself a silly timeframe of getting a camera from a shop, today. Tried Jessops and the FS7 was £160. Tried Argos and it was £150 but out of stock. Tried Currys and it was £120 and out of stock, but could be ordered in. Decided against that and looked at the others on show, and they had the FS62 for £120 too. Checked the specs and they seemed pretty much the same as the FS7 apart from a few differences in software features, but the same lense, fractionally thinner body etc. Got that, had a play, seems to be easy to setup, adjust etc. Got home and read that it has favourable reviews, so I'm happy. Got a 4gb SD card too, I took it out yesterday to a race meeting, indoors on carpet. Kinda bad light (not many lamps and they were waaaaay up in the roof of the hall), and moving objects, so a tough test for me. Sports mode can't pick up the cars well, they were blurry when focused on a spot then pannning with the camera to the right area to snap the pic. Changed to High Sensitivity mode and that helped a lot, but you're limited in MP size so the quality drops. Heres some pics, most cropped but all resized. All fixed with the 'AutoFix' feature in Vista's Photo Viewer thingy. :good: Very happy with the static shots though! And I'm going for a case too, leaving it on the table was a bit scary with various liquids flying around (motor spray....).

Talk of a firesale...are the players worth that much to other Prem clubs? Sell the whole 1st team and put out the reserves (where have I heard that before lol), and you raise what, £30 million at absolute best and that pays off Gaydamek, where does the rest of the money needed come from? The problem is that very few circuits on the F1 calendar have stayed in their exact original configuration without being Tilke-ised, so its hard to compare laptimes. Everytime the layout changes, laptimes should be wiped. I'd bet the late 80's cars with turbos and wide tyres would be as quick as the early/mid 90s cars with active suspension and TC, along with modern-era cars.
