  1. I was half paying attention to SSN the past couple of mins, but I'm sure the reporter at Fratton said nothing about the SOA would be revealed until the court case on the first. Thats what, a week an a half to survive?
  2. Talksport just mentioned Pompy....the 'expert' doesn't really know if they can be wound up straight away or on the 1st.
  3. Cheer up Poopy, things could be worse....
  4. Just when you thought it couldn't get any more ludicrous....it gets bumped up a notch. What next?
  5. - Portsmouth FC; The only club where they encourage you to throw coins at the players. - Portsmouth FC, a team full of nationalities. But no Cheques. - I was walking down the road the other day when I saw a Pompy season ticket nailed to a fence and I thought 'I'm having that!'..........You can never have too many nails. - It was my mates birthday this week and we went out in fancy dress. I went dressed in a clown outfit. This new Pompy shirt fits like a glove. - A bloke left 2 Pompy tickets on his dashboard while he went into Tescos. He was so livid when he came back to find someone had broken into his car and left 2 more. - Portsmouth Chief Executive Peter Storrie meets with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs about the clubs outstanding Tax Bill. The Officer tells him, ''I am going to let you off with the £11.5m tax bill you owe as I am a great admirer of Pompy and I think they are a fantastic club''. Storrie in a startled manner replies, ''Really?'' To which the Officer says, ''No, I am winding you up''. - Just read that Pompy directors are "working around the clock" to try to save the club from entering administration, a senior source has revealed. Surely working all that overtime is only making it worse? ---------------- I'll get my coat.
  6. If its Pompy, then its responsible for the debt if the current club. WUO number 2 please! Different note, this whole stay of execution came about partly because Storrie pleaded with the court to let them talk to those ''two bidders'' that were ready to go. Could he be had over a barrel for lying in court should nothing come of it?
  7. Too big? They'll be starting from nothing, having to hold tryouts on the local parks to pick up players for nothing. All they'll have are 10k ''fans'' and some blue scarves.
  8. It'll make Tevez/Mascherano/West Ham vs Sheff Utd look like a playground spat.
  9. Even then, what would £4.5m do? HMRC are adamant they want the full amount, and won't settle for less. And I've said it before....where are these two bidders for the club? Shouldn't they be shouting from the rooftops and getting the deal done in record time? Oh wait, they don't exist. Bye bye P*mpy.
  10. If a plan was drawn up to expand, and application was submitted and successfully approved, how long does the planning persmission exist until it expires?
  11. A couple of quotes from that page in the OP link: ''"You get abuse at football, you have to accept it sometimes, even if it is not very nice, but this was intimidation, Storrie told Soccernet. "It was frightening, my wife was petrified, with people coming right into your face shoving notes into our face - no one should have to put up with that in this day and age." ''"It happened when we were walking the short distance to our car. There was a group of fans ramming money into our faces, and thankfully stewards appeared from nowhere, but my wife was pretty shook up as you can imagine. "Abuse is one thing but this was intimidation. I have to say it was as serious as that, and we did think we would shortly be physically attacked if the stewards hasn't arrived so quickly.'' Then.... ''The statement read: "There was an unfortunate incident at Southampton involving Peter Storrie, his wife and family, but stewards eventually were involved and got the situation under control. At this stage the club are not likely to make an official complaint." '' Too shocking to contemplate, yet nothing will be done? Sounds like the Storrie-Telling **** is crying wolf.
  12. Energy and fitness, playing football at Prem pace for 75mins was shattering and I was surprised we kept up with them that long. It makes our efforts even greater.
  13. Well, it wasn't a toooootally unexpected result, but could easily have been going by the first half. They had the extra few yards of pace that you'd expect from a Prem side, and we did ourselves proud. Fans were fantastic, players did what they could, and it wasn't a 4-1 match at all. Lets push on in the league and meet the Skates again in the CCC next season. COYR!
  14. Apologies if its been mentioned last night or today, but these ''two bidders'', have they stepped forwards at all? Any rumblings or hints of who? Or do you think its Storyteller teling fibs to the court as a last ditch to get a stay of execution?
  15. So who do they currently owe now, and how much?
  16. Where has the money come from to settle the other outstanding debts today?
  17. Right, whats the info on ''the bidders''? Who what, where and why?
  18. Surely the court can't go by what is going to happen (club sale), but only by what has actually happened? Otherwise anyone could say they are buying the winning ticket in the lottery next week.
  19. How are they legally allowed to carry on while insolvent?!
  20. 9 days now.
  21. If they quickly accept one of these offers to buy the club, how quick can they transfer funds to clear the bill? And are they also Russian/Arab? 7 days adjournment for ''statement of affairs''. Arsebuscuits.
  22. 13:05 Matthew: The petition put into the court by HMRC is for £7.4m though. Wednesday February 10, 2010 13:05 Matthew 13:06 Matthew: The case has been adjourned. Wednesday February 10, 2010 13:06 Matthew 13:06 Matthew: No details yet as to how long for.
  23. SSN say HMRC said it was £11m, not £7.5m!
  24. Apparently the cash offer for part of the bill this morning before court was rejected because they couldn't prove how the remainder was going to be settled other than ''finding a mug to take us over''.
  25. HMRC want compulsory WUO or ''Very Short Term Adjornment'' according to SSN. HMRC has told court that P*mpy are insolvent!
