  1. With Chester City, they didn't pay the players, so the players went on strike. The club couldn't field a team, so were kicked out of the Conference (after a vote by the other Conference clubs). http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chester/8538236.stm With a bit of luck, the FL will take one look at P*mpy, see they don't have enough players and say ''you don't meet the requirements, sorry, bye bye'' and take back their share. That'd probably mean playing the Championship with 23 clubs this year though.
  2. Onesize Fitz Hall. Paul Hoofit Telfer.
  3. I have a Wednesday mate, and he's certain they'll be champions this year, walk the league etc. I told him it doesn't work like that, ask Charlton.
  4. Just catching up with the recent 10 or so pages.... If they can't put out a team, they'll kick them out of the league, just like Chester City (the players went on strike because of unpaid wages, FL kicked the club out of the league before the end of the season).
  5. I think HMRC said the squad was £21m, but Story-teller said they were valued at £38m? http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/5036085.Pompey_are__shrouded_in_mystery__court_hears/
  6. Just got the game, its as epic as everyone says. Cow herding is a bit of pain in the bum when one or two decide to go their own way or flat out stop. Whats the deal with the lady being held up by stagecoach bandits? Every time I've stopped, all three guys have opened fire on me and I'm dead before I've got a gun out. Is it an ambush or is it possible to take them on and win?
  7. Thats probably what HMRC were on about when they mentioned the vote was rigged against them.
  8. Theres more chance of the Blue Few playing in Europe next season than the CVA being approved. They are toast. Black, burnt toast.
  9. Could HMRC retrospectively fine them and bring themselves back into play above the 25% mark? Didn't they do that already last month?
  10. ''Griffin? Griffin who? They are stupid for not understanding my amazing nous with figures....theres no way on Earth they can do a better deal considering the circumstances....they are chancers.....I'm on the phone with Vladimir and his Ukrainian backers...I'm working for the best interest of the club.....I'm going to sign players soon....training soon, wheres my ''AA'' embroidered tracksuit?''
  11. They couldn't fill their ground as a Prem club, they definitely won't as a CCC club. The better question is, have they tried to sell anyone yet?
  12. And thats the perfect excuse not to watch the Beeb's coverage now.
  13. RIP, thankyou for the memories both of you brought the club and the City.
  14. Sky News saying at least four victims, plus the suspect.
  15. I bet he'll turn up as a pundit on the BBC WC coverage, with his standard ''dat bwoy daaaan gud'' quote.
  16. True but I'd rather hear about this situation than that, that could wait a day or two. ------------- ''ADMINISTRATOR Brendan Guilfoyle has admitted that the deadline to begin the liquidation of Crystal Palace is likely to slip as "significant progress" has been made in the negotiations. The CPFC 2010 consortium released a statement yesterday stating that if no deal had been agreed on the purchase of Selhurst Park by 3pm this afternoon, Guilfoyle would begin to sell off the club’s top players. Darren Ambrose will be the first to leave with a £750,000 switch to Queens Park Rangers already agreed. However, Guilfoyle has been informed that 2010 and Lloyds Banking Group - the chief creditors in the Selhurst Park administration - are in direct contact and that a deal is now close. “The 3pm deadline is not set in stone by me, of course I will give 2010 the time to negotiate the deal,” he said. “The bank are telling me they are now fully engaged with the consortium and significant progress has been made on the sale of the stadium. "Apparently they are very close to sealing a deal, so things are looking positive." Stay logged on to this web-site for all the latest developments. 17. 600+ members and nearly 1000 guests online so the site is super slow. Protests or something going on, hoping a deal could have been done. And what do SSN show? The England squad and Theo being dropped.

  20. Javi is my hero.
  21. 3pm tomorrow to save the club, or its liquidated. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6182403,00.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  22. Isn't that against the law? Otherwise businesses would be doing that all over industry (assuming the owner of the company has enough pennies to run them on the other side of Admin).
  23. I hate them, along with all other musical instruments at football (drums, trumpets....TCWTB).
  24. I think to a lot of people, anything other than Pompy being out of business will mean they have gotten away with it, and its looking more and more likely that they'll exist come the start of the new season. On a side note, has any larger/bigger clubs from other leagues been in the same or similar situation? Are Pompy the biggest club worldwide to be in Admin and the brink of extinction? I'm thinking Russia or Italy, but I don't know.
