  5. First tweet: @AOChamberlain @AlexanderOxlade is a fake account. This is me. 40 minutes ago
  6. AOC on Twitter, its done. https://twitter.com/#!/AOChamberlain @AOChamberlain i'd just like to say thanks to all the fans at Southampton you've always been brilliant and i hope you understand my decision to leave 6 minutes ago @AOChamberlain everyone was telling me to update my bio from Southampton to Arsenal. #BOOM it's done!
  7. ''Have to say, though... Southampton looked a class outfit... Richardson/Fonte/Martin/Harding looked solid... they won everything in the air, and their midfield passing was superb... Wouldnt suprise me if the Saints do a Norwich if they play like that all year.. .''
  8. And Arsenal have assembled a side of great players, but they haven't won anything for 6 years.
  9. Indeed, just ask Jack Cork if he is a better player for coming on loan here or to Burnley, than if he's stayed in the Reserves at Chelsea. Everyone forgets that David Beckham played for Preston North End on loan because Fergie thought he needed first team experience that he wouldn't get at Old Trafford for a year.
  10. I'd love to know what he think's he'll benefit from by never playing a competitive match for the next 4 seasons like Theo did, effectively stalling his career. I'd have thought first team action is vital at that age, hence why loans to lower heague happen. He could stay here and play 3 times a month in the first team in a league which is widely reknown this year as being the closest in years. I guess it must be the money.
  11. Another one crawls from the swamp, proving that evolution is real. Stick around for your blue few chums, they love it here and keep coming back for more home truths.
  12. Great performance, looks like the team have a lot of belief and looked calm and composed most of the time. The De Ridder and Cork slotted straight in and D-R's pace will be a great asset. I picked up on that. Would have been appropriate if we were going to play them next, but we're above them now, they won't be on our radar apart from when we stuff them 3-0 at our place, and 4-1 at their dump.... OWTSGMI is what we're best at.
  13. Maybe their new formation involves ten at the back. (and Storrie in Parkhurst! Fnar fnar!).
  14. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/pompey_boss_rues_loss_of_defender_1_2928293 I feel so sorry for Clotterill. Oh how bad the league was for putting Pompey on the back foot so soon. At least they have (some) cover for the CB position....lol. But at least this made me laugh: He can't speak Skate yet, it seems. But then, could you ever learn Skate when the thick fans don't get it? One such reply to that news story...
  15. Thais, Anders running box to box and finsiing with a goal was one of his highlights.
  16. The delays in the takeover were attributed to an investigation by the Swedish monetary agency Riksgälden and the Swedish security police Säpo, where the agencies found connections between the family of major shareholder Vladimir Antonov and organized crime, as well as involvement in money laundering. Säpo reported their findings to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, and shortly thereafter GM dropped further talks about the deal, until a company controlled by Victor Muller called Tenaci purchased Antonov's share in the company. Antonov also announced that $25mn has been given to Spyker as a loan to purchase Saab Automobile from General Motors. He confirmed that the loan will be provided by Convers Bank a bank owned by the Antonovs' and that GM was fully aware of that.[15] Antonov cannot invest in Spyker until 2016; when GM's preference share holding ends. Another way he could enter earlier would be permission by General Motors. Antonov stated, "I'm not involved in crime and I've initiated an investigation as to why GM thinks I am."[15] Vladimir Antonov is president of the Russian bank Convers Group. He is a son of the Russian tycoon Aleksandr Antonov who was injured in a shooting in Moscow in March 2009.[16] On February 23, 2010, Spyker Cars closed the deal to buy Saab Automobile from General Motors, since when Spyker and Saab operate under the parent company Swedish Automobile, named Spyker Cars N.V. until June 2011.[17] On February 25, 2011, Spyker Cars N.V. announced the impending sale of the sports supercar unit to Vladimir Antonov for an initial amount of 15 million euros. The reported reason for the sale was to reduce the car maker's debt load.[18][19] Wikipedia, but sources given. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_Automobile
  17. According to this: http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,15184622,00.html SAAB has been owned by Spyker since Feb 2010.
  18. The answer is simple for the Few....chuck a few shirts into the crowd (lol) and make up the starting XI. They might just get enough fans turning up every week to cover them for the season too, away trips might be a struggle though!
  19. Jason Dodd and Dennis Wise should be added to the list too? Adkins has us organised better and has gotten the best out of the player at his disposal - something that can't be said for WGS or Pardew to a degree.
  20. Thats not saying much.

    Oslo blast

Death toll at 91 now. Still can't really believe it.
  23. When I read it was in The Echo, I thought ''Oh here we go, more Saints bashing''. Which was right. Have the Echo published the wages of any other directors of businesses in Southampton?
