Putting out Rah Rah pieces highlighting focus and intensity tend to backfire when the product that is being promoted does not live up to the expectations that are being highlighted. I would pick your time to promote Saints marketing efforts a bit better after a **** display like yesterday.

Think I might have to get an Athletic shirt after that display! Epic! -
CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal

Well if it's not completed by September 1st then he won't be coming, will he? -
Can't believe you actually wrote that. Jack Cork is TONS better than JWP. You do go to matches regularly, no? Then would have seen the contribution Cork made when he had a run in the team. I think Prowsey would do better dropping a league and getting regular game time. IMO

thanks for this - great stream!

Amazing how we all get something different out of a game. I thought he was absolutely gash in the return game- lots of running around, lots of not tackling, lots of being brushed off the ball, lots of not dictating play - he is lightweight, and at the moment the weakest link in our squad.
-
if that's the case, the. Perhaps it would be much better for the lad if he went out on loan for the season to a lower league?

Someone just remind me what Ward Prowse contributes to our team? Please? Apart from running around looking clueless???

Indeed, I understand they rejected unlimited immigration in a recent referendum, and the EU huffed and puffed about it. Quite how so many posters see doom and gloom for the 6th Largest Economy IN THE WORLD should we decide to leave the European Union makes me chuckle. Do you really think Germany is going to close the door on an annual £100 BILLION trade relationship with the UK? We are their second biggest trading partner. Where do you think their automotive industry is going to go for the high quality, JIT components we provide for them? And do you think they will slap tariffs on these exports and see their unit costs go up? Don't be daft. With regards to Product Standards, CEN (EU) standards are a harmonisation of ISO (International) standards anyway, and companies that export build compliance to standards into any product developments so that they do not shut themselves off from any global markets, so that straw man is a nonsense as well. Indeed, we as a country are constantly seeking new markets for our products around the world, that wouldn't change if we left the EU.

Stoke I reckon - easy commute.

I read that Chelsea were going to make an offer for Green - they will need a back-up if Petr Cech goes.

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread
No 2 to Maybush replied to The9's topic in The Saints
Did they choose Prowsey cos he's the only one guaranteed to be here next season? Lol. Agree about the placement of the Adidas logo. There you go. -
Sums it up for me too. It raises big questions over a) our lauded recruitment team and the famous "black box" b) the tactical awareness of the Manager (we have played the same way since pre-season ffs! I thought Poch was one dimensional...) c) the motivational ability of the Manager (can't seem to get the team to raise their game and show consistent commitment). And before anyone starts with the "the boys are exhausted" line, I would point out that we went out of the League Cup and FA Cup early, and had NO OTHER distractions in our season. It's all very well for Les Reed to come out and say we are going to supplement our squad from the Academy, but are the players good enough to maintain a top half Prem position? It strikes me more of trying to maintain a position in the Prem on the cheap, and looking to maintain a Mike Ashley business model whereby we look to generate a significant amount of revenue off player sales. IMO

Our On-the-Beach mentality is a f**king disgrace
No 2 to Maybush replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I expect to have a forward like James Beattie who regularly knocked on 20 goals a season for us. Are you telling me this is now unrealistic? That only the top 4 are allowed forwards that knock in 20 goals a season? I am not usually one for an ad hominem, but you really are sanctimonious at times. 3 posts and out. -

Perhaps you could point me to the 20 goals per season forward we have in the squad? Oh..... -

Gotta laugh at the fans who think 7th is nailed on. Personally can't see us getting any more points this season. -
JWP Sending off - are Saints going to appeal this ?

This. One day maybe he will be the player he thinks he is already. -
At the moment he is heading towards being a Ward Prowse clone - lots of square passing, and as you say, not strong enough. I thought the team were very static at times tonight, and midfield (Gape and Hesketh) need to be a lot more direct. The play was very predictable and the Chelsea defence found it relatively easy to read our moves and snuff out our attacks. i thought our game and shape improved when Gallagher went central and Josh Sims and Marcus came on the wings. Chelsea were worth the win - their 10 and 11 were very good.

Hesketh made a number of errors First half 0-1 at the moment
