Had this chat in the pub last night, him and Lambo must surely be the best strikeforce in the league, and when Connelly is fully fit and has a few more games to blow the cob webs out and he understands Lamberts play better, they are going to destroy teams in this league. And the thing that amazes me is that to assemble the best strikeforce in the league, it has only cost us roughly 1 million! We spent more money on Schnierderlin than that! (Not knocking Schnierderlin hes been awesome this season).

Looking at how Pardew has done some of his previous business I think he will be thinking along the same lines. He had Connolly on trial for 3 weeks before giving him a contract, and that was only for a year, had Jaidi on trial for a fair while, though some of this time was due to clearance problems allegedly, and has been looking at Aaron Martin for a few weeks now. Very simple but sensible way to do your business and I like it.

Absolutly no way no how. What he did was unforgivable for many reasons, cheating on his wife with whom he has 3 kids, hitting a woman, the attitude he had "do you know who i am? I'm a millionaire" ****ing disgusting. Not only that, but after being sentenced to jail time, his family started accusing the judge of being rascist, it is so pathetic it's untrue. There were so many witnesses there who saw him do it, one of whom used to be at the same club as him, why he and his family didn't accept it like a man is beyond me.

Go out to win them both, for too long we have put out weakened sides to rest key players and it has done us no good at all. Winning builds confidence, confidence helps teams win games. Granted at some point we will go out of the FA cup, but we should give it a go none the less, and it will be interesting to see what all those people on here saying that the JPT is worthless say if we do get to wembley and win it (not saying that we will). Win, win, win.

If we can't get him on a extended loan contract then how about we just get a piece of rope about the length of a football pitch, tie one end round his ankle, and the other end to the St marys stadium. I don't think there is anything in the FA rules that state we can't do it? We can't lose him.

Bumped into him a few weeks ago in Junk (it was a Tuesday night), don't remember what I said to him as I was long gone by this time but whatever i did say it obviously worked as he's had 3 assits in his last 2 games and been in the league 1 team of the week! Great to see yet another academy lad doing well in the first team.

I'm not worried about it in the slightest, this is now completely pardews team, the board is happy with him and he is happy with them. While on the subject though, this has to be one of the most ridiculous sackings ever! Lowe would of been proud of that one, low morale after relegation losing key players in Tuncay, Huth, and Downing, and yet they're 4th in the league only 1 point off the champions! Unbelievable, feel very sorry for Southgate.

Lambert, Lallana, Waigo, Connolly - Those four into double figures would be fantastic, Lambert to get at least 20, and the other 3 to be around the 15 mark with lallana possible just above that mark. Surely promotion is very much achievable with that many goals? Also good to see two foreign players in Morgan and Waigo doing a book signing, leads you to believe that Waigo's English is improving.

Shame they didn't show Lamberts shot from the center circle.... Or his other free kick onto the cross bar... F*** me what an awesome player weve got on our hands.

Am ecstatic about this as I really didnt have a good feeling about today, which is strange because I've always been one of the biggest optimists! Am really looking forward to hearing the fans view's that were there today, well done to all of them they made a lot of noise. From what I heard on the radio though congrats to Lambert, Connolly and Hammond obviously, think Schneirderlin played well again, his consistency has been a main reason for the turn around, everyone has known hes got quality but hes really showing it week in week out, making good decisions at tough places. Lallana missed a couple of chances but put in another industrious performance from what was said on the radio. It's amazing how Pardew has so quickly and easily solved problems that have plagued us for years and in some cases, since we got relegated. Sorted out the aerial presence at the back, mixture of youth and experience, big target man upfront, commanding midfielder, and a system that gets the best out of the best players. Think this is probably the best that I and many on here have felt about saints for quite some years, even better than the play-off season! Big attendance next week COYR

I'm going for a 1-2 saints win, the clincher being that saints will get the winner in the last 5 minutes....
