  1. I actually thought Harry was telling half truths - but a manager is accountable no matter what he says .....there's about 3 passengers in that Spurs team, but he chose to play them. In a way he was telling his boss that he needs funds/needs to make changes. I think Bale will move on if he has any sense.
  2. I take your point and I reckon you are correct. Still a sad day though.
  3. My late dad would come back with angel cake for us hungry kids from Woolies in Woolston.....the tears. I do think its sad. If you think about it, the more bought online (where I do most of my shopping) the less is required in the high street. This must be a factor.
  4. I read your first message to my wife and she laughed. I know how you feel though (except I won't drink any alcohol till my birthday in 15 days time when I will be 53....).
  5. Go to bed...tomorrow's another day.
  6. Denzil replying on one of my threads.....I have made it to the top!!!! I have acquired said NUS number and saved myself £30...you've got to get in to get out.
  7. I am concerned by this news, I really am. What is wrong with the club? It doesn't sound just financial...
  8. Yep let us hope all our dreams come true. World peace and Saints surviving in the championship
  9. Some of Perry's challenges were magnificent. 36 he may be.....
  10. My daughter got loads of other things for Xmas.....
  11. Mrs BTF I just corrected my message. My good lady wife spotted it.
  12. My 14 year old daghter wants (amongst other presents) loads of clothes for Christmas. The total before I said that I would not buy jeans at 98 quid a pair was £456. The total spend is now down to £300 because some items in her wish list are out of stock. I just noticed that I could get 10% discount if I produce a NUS number so I thought I'd ask my favourite website. Does anyone have one? Could you PM me? If you don't ask you don't get!!!
  13. I have been reading the posts on rc and I read your post. Its only obsessives who can't change their minds....nice post.

  15. My mate died of lung cancer last year and he had a Stannah stairlift fitted before he died. Stannah came and took it away afterwards. You can bet your goolies they didn't take it away to chuck out.
  16. Fascinating....thanks.
  17. Jill it has NOT been a good day......really it hasn't
  18. Hampshire County council got a mention because they have invested their pension with madoff
  19. My 14 year old daughter uses my old Quad 405/44 set up, what I did buy 30 years ago. I got them second hand from someone who had been warned for the last time to turn down his music or face eviction. She has them knocking out serious volume through some KEF speakers. She has also nicked my Beatles Cds I am a valve amp man these days using Quad ESL989 - I love vinyl...
  20. I have given the lady Big Issue seller a tenner occasionally. I'm doing alright and she isn't. Seems fair really.
  21. You were both born with a lisp
  22. Last year I took my then ten year old son to Whitehill in August and we saw about 20 shooting stars. I think we saw the Persids. Anyway, he was thrilled. I thought we'd be on our own up there but there must have been 30 people at any one time.
  23. An excellent summary. I am not sure about spite against Crouch, I do know that it was Lowe's decision to bring in Poortvliet. We are heading towards 12,000 average gates and yet as you say, with more quality on the pitch you could be talking of attendances in the 20,000s. Not sure we could be described as a sleeping giant but there is so much potential here
  24. Sorry it has to be said. Lowe could have chosen an English manager and chose not to. He carries the can for this season. I am going to take the dogs out, I may be gone some time
  25. Let me help you. Lowe has had to sell loads and loads of players to save money. At the same time the numbers going to Saint Mary's is dropping. So if we can avoid relelgation/administration we will have done well this season. I'll say it again....if we avoid relegation we will have done well. Would I have retained Pearson? yes, I would, Lowe has taken a chance on teh Dutch coach and here we are. Its the bigger picture
