I'd be interested in knowing what facts have been disproved. Who disproved them?

Lowe's calmness? How would you know if Lowe was calm? He is going to lose around half a million. It must hurt. More likely he knows that his initiative for Dutch footy has failed and in failing has brought our club to its knees....will he buy the club after administration? He'd be a fool and I don't believe he is considering this unless some one on here has some proof. I don't think anyone on here can second guess what may or may not happen without some sort of meaningful evidence. A month ago I started a thread called end game. I knew that something would have to happen given our league placing on either or both of the player and management side. I never for one minute thought that the change made of Jan going and Wotte getting promoted would be the change. I know we also got Molyneux - wouldn't it be great if Molyneux was discernably better than the players we have? If anyone has some evidence/proof then I would like to read about it. Mary Corbett's interview was the most revealing evidence I could point to. The bit that saddens me was how people on here slagged her off presumably after having listened to a real fan.

COYR........please -
Teddy, I wasn't sure you'd remember John Stockley or Pam Read, and John never taught me either....says me with a degree in Philospophy and Ancient Greek now working in IT and doing alright Are you really sure Alec said that? OK I am sure he did. You had a very pretty girlfriend I do recall maybe Alec was confused. I shall log onto this website at kick off time tomorrow as per normal and hope and pray we can pick up a point or 3. They did a job on us at St Mary's and were worth their win but all that is urine under the bridge now that we have Wotte in charge!!

I am due to have a meal with John Stockley (taught numpties - his words) and Pam Read (French teacher) soon. I'll be sure to mention you to them both. Pam did say that Alec Perkins thought your were too nice to be a professional footballer. My son wants to go to a party tomorrow. I offered to take him to Bristol City ( I lived there for a few years) but he doesn't want to see Saints lose yet again. Matthew (my son) has not seen Saints win this season

Steady Teddy!!!!!!!

I shall also do the same.

Lets hope Saints do the business

Its time to move on but without the likes of Lowe making such decisions.
-
Exactly how would Pearson have done a WORSE job.. Go and look at the table. Dear oh dear I am amazed that you can't see UM is correct. The Dutch decision was Lowe's and was an unnecessary gamble. From what I have read Portvliet was contacted by Lowe months before the end of the season. From Pearson I learned that he was never asked about continuing in the job. There was never a comparison between the two of them. Lowe was clear in his mind abbout the direction he took the club's management

Good luck to you all. I won't get there in time I am afraid -
Alpine moaned about Burley moaned about Port...and now moans about the guy who has just taken charge.....unreal.

A point gained, what else can you say FFS?

When can Ruperts Dutch experiment be considered a failure?

# Nick you are laughable. Next time you log onto the beeb, have a look at where we are in the league -
The nightmare scenario, no significant changes - or at least none publicised. I do fear its the end if that's the case. I guess options were to replace the manager (I don't actually blame the manager too much) but it would probably help. I can only hope that new monies are made available for players.

I know 2 stewards from my school days. I very much doubt whether you could find bigger/better fans than either of them.

oh my gawd.....is this true? -
That's the way I see it....we have a "problem" to use your terminology but relegation would be "the disaster" and I can't imagine if that happens we would remain a solvent club. I have confidence that those at the top will act even if I couldn't predict what that action might ultimately be.

I was there Saturday and it was bad. Its mid January and we are 2nd from bottom. The new manager has tried so many players in so many formations and we are where we are. It must be obvious to anyone that unless fundamental changes are made, we are doomed. So I fully expect changes to be made. We can argue about tactics, about playing personal, the manager and Rupert. If the slide into the lower leagues is to be halted, there will have to be a change of manager, additional players brought in etc. I have no idea how the changes will come about but I am certain they will. It is the definition of madness to carry on without change and expect a different outcome. The other directors know this so does Lowe. It HAS to happen. If it doesn't I do believe that this will be the begiining of the end.

Everton's 3rd choice must have something about him, pace and some skill. I can't see a duffer being at any Prem club at the age of 19.
-
He was not as good as I thought he would be, he made lots of bad passes but also some good tackling..

I bought a DVD of E.L.P last year and i wish I hadn't. I was a big fan of them and again queued all night for tickets. Its what you did in the 70's. I don't think much of E.L.P's music has aged that well.

ESB - I only recognise 1 song from your top ten . You don't have Abraham Martin and John, or I heard it through the Grapevine(in my mind, an almost perfect pop song), Tracks of my tears. I still play Motown Chartbusters Vol3. In my day you either liked Motown/soul/reggae or Progressive Rock but not both. I went down the progressive rock route with a secret love of soul so as not to lose my street cred...I was the only bloke with a skinhead haircut Crombie in the queue for tickets to Led Zeppelin at the Gaumont!!!! Happy days
