I have never heard of a declared war zone, there was an exclusion zone though. The Captain of the ship/submarine sunk the Belgrano and then shredded any and all documentation that related to his position. Now why do you think he did that? He was under orders from Mrs B1tchcow

What a load of old tosh!!! There can be only Labour or Conservative...no one else could possibly have better ideas can they?

Antonio - Will he be a saint next season..?
Seaford Saint replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Not one person has the same view as me regardnig Antonio. I think he has gone a little backwards since he arrived. I really rate him and I noticed as did my son how we had all of a sudden a winger who could and would beat opponents. This has lessened as time has gone on and I suspect its down to the opposition closing him down quicker. I really rate him, his work rate and commitment are second to none. I hope we sign him. -
Oh my God 2 all, hold on Walsall

Tony Benn, I have read his diaries, I took my daughter to listen to what he had to say last year. She was embarrased when she went in......but after watching him take questions from anyone, she changed her mind and was impressed. In a nutshell he reckons each generation has to fight for freedom otherwise you lose it. Iraq Afghanistan etc, erosion of civil liberties, Trident, ID cards etc I have always wanted my kids to think for themselves - they do!!!! (Yes I know he's not an MP) For what its worth I quite fancy a hung Parliament where we could potentially end up with the best and most able from each party being part of the government

US Apache killing civvies on wikileaks.
Seaford Saint replied to View From The Top's topic in The Lounge
I would like to point out that the US HAS to fight wars, its infrastructure is set up that way. The Lockheed Martins etc, produce fighter planes helicopters etc and munitions and these have to get used. Why does the US fight so many wars? Vietnam, Korea, etc. These instances are always going to occur -
Good fight Thanks for the Justin TV tip

How much money has Alan Pardew "Spent?" How much did AP have to spend to bring the team back up to the standard of the team that was relegated. Remember the team that saw Stern John, Skacel, BWP, JPS, Surman etc all leave. I can't remember who else left but tere are others. How many of his signs have been free? How many of his signings have excellent? I have enjoyed footy so much more this year than I did last year

Of course that's the case. But employees are confronted with take the offer to a solicitor and get advice. If you accept you can only do so if you sign to say you have no intention of taking said firm to court. Oh yes the firm says that should an employee fight the case, and lose, they become liable for the firms costs as well. Welcome to the real world

I agree
-
Sorry I dont think its true that workers can rely on labour rules. I work for a firm who made hundreds redundant recently. None of the norms of redundancy were followed. No attempt at redeployment of staff. Take it or leave it, if you take the offer you need to sign to say you werent going to pursue the company. Employee Forums and any other consultative group were bypassed. It is clear to me that BA in this dispute is going to break the union. Short term pain for long term gain.

Martin Samuel, Daily Mail on Coretese: "self serving" and a "buffoon"
Seaford Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
If Mr Cortese wanted to alienate the manager, I think he did a good job with his last interview. As much as I dislike the Mail especially in regard to the treatment of Duncan Holley recently, I find myself agreeing with Martin Samuel's article entirely. -
Duncan said no ages ago. I spoke about this to my wife this morning. Duncan also talked about BA hiring the same union buster that was involved in the post office. Sad days - how do workers stand up for their rights? Oh yes i forgot, under new labour/conservatives they don't have any

How much other teams (Norwich) have really spent...
Seaford Saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I do believe Pardew said that his first task was to get Saints back to the level they were at when they were relegated.....which players left us?.... Surman Euell Stern John Saga ( I know he wasn't played) Skacel Rasiak Bradley Sorry Delldays I disagree. I am sure there are more players who left but I think the team stripped of the players above were likely to find their level in the conference IMHO
