I have 4 x cans of Carlsberg special brew....not a present as such but bought by the moter in law after my wife said I drank lager.....real ale is what would have wanted but this might have confused the old biddy. Deppo versus Dune...........Surely a fight to the end would cheer you up, it would me. I have had 30 years in IT and I know exactly how you are feeling....been there. Having kids meant coming off shift and other big changes. I would say that you should some how find happiness within yourself. Small changes along the lines suggested by other posters. I recall going to Greece when I had no one else to go with aand touring round. I felt self conscious doing it but 25 years later I look back with great affection on that trip. Where's Mrs Bridge Too Far she is always great at offering wisdom - oh I remember, a few posters on here got on her case and she doesn't post any more. Good luck to you.

Dune my besy friend is as right wing as they come....military background, loves Maggie etc, ex police force......and I respect his opinion but we agreed years ago that there is no right answer. A little research would show you that when society becomes so uneven, it eventually breaks down. Team, I have a question. When you buy shares at a given price who do you buy them from. Is it the company i.e Vodafone or HMV? When shares lose money and are falling and you want to sell them.. Who buys those shares off you? The company? How can you sell a share that the whole market place is going to possibly go out of existence? No further questions.....

Well for what its worth...some my wife's family are skates. Always make me welcome whenever I visit, I am not lippy though. I always remove every trace of Saints from my car. They live near the rats nest called Fratton. None of them can bring themselves to say the name of my team Southampton....they hate us. However, they are fans like us who have a team that has been ****ed over by con men etc. I keep hoping the ****s get relegated or fail to get out of admin etc but it doesn't happen....maybe next year.
