Hi Duncan, I would like to wish you all the best. Why would some one want to arrest you? Ignore the dissenters on here. I do recall being like them years ago until I went back to college/uni etc. I always remember that people are the sum total of their experiences (and lack of ) as this often explains their views. Phil is right, its easy for us to say it, but it is an opportunity for you.

Sorry the link is this.....I can't believe its for real but it is!!!

I watched this today on line, about this bloke's treatment of cancer - and how the FDA in the US have stopped him from being able to get his treatments widely available becaue if they do it will impact them adversely. Its well worth tracking down......I am still stunned after watching it.

Would you really want to cut the less than £4000 a year that a long server NHS worker would end up receiving or the £9000 a teacher gets on average?

Mrs BTF you are correct...no one gave much of a toss at Vodafone when the final salary scheme was closed. I hear the argument time and time again about the private sector having got rid of the final salary scheme. Lets look at Vodafone and their moral case for closing their scheme. They made £9.5 billion last year and around £8.5 billion the year before.... that's a total of 18000 million and all that was required to keep those staff who had cumulatively made a substantial part of that profit was £100 million which would have left 17900 million and a very healthy pension fund no longer in need of a cash injection. Don't get me started on Vodafone and tax.....after 12 years at Vodafone I got a lot more money ( I am over 50 so I took the money) than the examples you quoted of NHS staff. Some people are narrow, bitter, given to jealously and these are the ones who begrudge anyone anything.

Me and my Mrs have done OK from our final salary pensions in the private sector and are probably looking at £30K a year between us when we retire, it's £17K currently. Doesn't it strike any of you right wing idiots that the conclusion from all this will be a generation of very poor pensioners in the years to come. How are they going to feed themselves without a decent pension? What happens when they need nursing care and the right wingers has got their way and dismantled the national health service? Sorry and all that. I just think you right wingers are thick and stupid.

You internet warriors make me laugh.....Chelsea signed him because he was rubbish and so did Man City....oh dear oh dear. Would he have been better if he had played regular footy of course he would. He was England's second choice for much of his career, he was that bad. The sooner the new footy season starts the better

I haven't been to a clairvoyant for over 30 years but years ago when I ended my first long term relationship I went to said lady clairvoyant and she was brilliant. Not everything she said came to pass but an awful lot has done. I recall when I saw her having already put in an offer on a house in Southampton that she said could see me living north of Winchester. I ended up buying a house 6 months later in Whitchurch. Loads of other stuff also came to pass. A lovely lady she was too, she was in her 70's then. She was the wife of a Greek Orthodox priest. I guess I was lucky that I went to a real clairvoyant. I reckon that you get as much information that you need and if you are desperately unhappy, you are more likely to be given information that will comfort you. The happier you are the less benefit you have in going. I took quite a few people (unhappy ladies ) to see her.

Chamberlain has improved greatly this season....if the progression continues the answer to questions on the comparison will be clearer. I have a feeling that Chamberlain might end up as a better player.

That's a bit harsh mate

Simples, I just get tickets for games I attend. As i say I think club have screwed up.
-
I think this is too big an increase.....I won't renew. I can't make many evening games... For my son and I to have a season ticket its £855.....no the club have shot themselves in the foot.
