  1. You have been politely asked to refrain from using words like mong but you persist, my view is that you are spoiling this site. Oh you are completely wrong about Le Tiss, but I somehow think you know that.
  2. Met my wife through the internet dating site dating direct....worked for us.
  3. I can only echo the posters above, hugely influential figure in my life and in the life of my son, too.
  4. I watched Crewe for a few years in the early 80's when I lived in the North Midlands.....awful footy but fantastic fans...
  5. I usually sing in a church choir at Xmas.....my views have really changed over the years away from mainstream Christianity to something more spiritual. Maybe the planet and all its inhabitants are connected.....and we should take care of our surroundings including those less fortunate than ourselves. It will be a non church christmas this year with the service clashing with Saints v Sunderland...I can't get back to Newbury by 18:00 when the service starts.
  6. There was a post on here a Good few months back where we were all asked to introduce ourselves. Lots and lots of posters responded to it and a clear message emerged....that many members don't bother responding any more. I am sure someone with more time than I have can enlighten you.
  7. I agree Jamie
  8. Knowing Reading as I do luck had nothing to do with their run last year.....Unless it was lucky they got us on the break lucky that Kebe outpaced our defence, lucky he provided a pin point cross, lucky that Roberts got to the ball ahead of Fonte and lucky his header was on target. The amount of drivel on this site staggers me sometimes and its no wonder the more reasoned posters just don't bother posting. This year however, Reading have been found out. This may have more to do with financial considerations above all else. They have an excellent Championship midfield which has been made to look poor in the Premiership. An aging Roberts about to turn 35 up front is no longer cutting it. Defensively they have been exposed too. Maybe they will invest in January, maybe they won't....more likely is that they will try and fail to attract players.
  9. Oi that's my wife's club you are talking about!!!! Ha ha, I like it when they lose though.
  10. Fantastic man....sad news.
  11. Played very well today, fast skilfull Good workrate, held the ball well. One to watch definitely.
  12. I concluded that a lot Saints fans are just plain thick ages ago...they tend to be more vocal on here. Occasionally they get proved rightly and forget about the time the spoke complete and utter tosh. A lot of the more intelligent guys on here don't post. I posted on here how I heard fans calling for Adkins to go after 3 games......
  13. You lot on here make me laugh....WE did not sell out today. The last 10minutes they were on top and I was glad the half time whistle blew. We have improved as a team more than Reading have since promotion. Incidently the Reading fans my wife spoke to were not happy with Roberts performance... So pleased to have got the win today
  14. Sorry I assumed Shaw is out but I haven't heard officially.
  15. Very very nervous now. I am married to a Reading fan.......i am in my music room listening to the Stones. Disappointed that Shaw is out. We have to stop the supply to Roberts. Kebe is injured allegedly We have improved since we last played them. Still think we'll win...Puncheon is in the form of his life, we have Clyne, Ramirez.......this has has tipped the balance in our favour.
  16. I saw him live a couple of times. He was a great human being, incredibly humble......I have just heard that he has passed away and its a bit late but tomorrow night I will put on an album or two.
  17. No he didn't take us to pieces.....Kebe was the danger man.....a pin point cross and Roberts stuck it away. We have to stop the service to Roberts and I think we are much better able to do this now....Shaw and Cline......I am quietly confident.
  18. Divorce was the most difficult situation I had ever encountered. Ex wife wanted out, I lost over a stone in a couple of weeks. Got financially taken to the cleaners...just about survived with loans from friends, the late brother in law, a solicitor, carried out the divorce for me for free. I had lots of dates and then hit the jackpot. Its been tough since then for the kids to adjust but everything else is better, I have a soulmate etc. The ex? She has found life difficult and has't moved on. My current wife is capable, confident etc...and is a happy and contented person, something my ex never was.
  19. I thought he was OK. Not commanding but OK. Probably the weakest of the back four.
  20. I have seen them many times and they are better than ever. Would I pay £250 for a ticket.....yep I would. I would pay that to hear Mick. Taylor....Time Waits For no Man...what a song. I do occasionally stick on a Stones album when the wife's out. I have these large Tannoys and the Stones sound fantastic.......
  21. Puncheon was superb today. Magnificent performance by him. Ran himself into the ground.
  22. We rented a big house in the posh side of Newbury. Thieves nicked all my fishing gear.....didn't bother telling the police. Now live in a smaller house close.
  23. Personally I think fat people should diet or lose their human rights.....the world can't afford those who eat more than their fair share. Then there are the spongers, their rights should also go as well. What exactly did this guy do? Why hasn't he been charged? Who let him in this country? Did he ever work for MI5? What do any of us really know about him?
  24. We are forever grateful Bearsy. I will use your expression arse like an elephant's sock at some future time. My wife knows this website is the source. It has been a bad influence on me. Still reckon that all the chapters should be separated out at the end of the thread.
  25. I have fat fingers and i am always opening profiles. Cortese out.
