She has beauty drive and ambition...and has made the most of what this country has to offer. -

The trouble is Delldays, I have yet to meet a lazy immigrant....I can only speak as I find. I am delighted these foreigners are here. -

Sorry young man she didn't. She was restricted from any full time working so she cleaned houses in and around Newbury for a maximum of 16 hours a week. Now that she works full time she has given up the cleaning job but she likes us so she pops in when we are out. We enccoraged her when she felt as if she was getting nowhere and was thinking of going back home. The au pair is a beauty and being Slovakian she had some EU advantages. She taught herself to read and write English within a year of arriving and later studied whilst an au pair. She also worked for 7 years full time and contributed via the tax system. -

We have an excellent Romanian cleaner...and she now works full time and is contributing to our tax system. She had to wait before being able to apply for work. Fluent in Italian and has a telephone sales background. Her Romanian boyfriend is a waiter in a local hotel. Are they doing a job that an English person could? Yes definitely. Are they stopping an English person from doing them? Definitely not. The English don't appear to want jobs like these. I really like watching people make the most of what our country has to offer English or not..... My wife's former au pair is now married to a millionaire English man and is about to have a child. A yummy mummy....and a welcome addition to our population. -
Sorting out my music room, son's hockey match was postponed. about to go to the gym. Bought some logs in to the garden from the drive where they had been all week and stacked them all away. Pompey lost......happy days.

Adkins had to go...the guy was useless.....back to back promotions, how hard are they to achieve? Anyone could have done that. Disaster in the Prem.....only got us up to 15th He had to go - shocking manager....
-
Surely he and the team were on a steep learning curve and had done their learning.....no defeat in the last five games. Players had come in to replace weaker ones. I do believe Nigel would have kept us up....not sure about this new guy. Unless we have an infkux of arrivals, that is.
-
It will take me a while to get over this decision. Nigel put his heart and soul into this club. A message to Cortese....do not turn us into a Chelsea
-
The title is inaccurate, I don't like the decision. It is the wrong decision, we'll never know what Nigel could have gone on to achieve here. He surely had turned the corner....Arsenal 1 all Chelsea 2 all A newly promoted time struggles shocker. He had surely turned it round I am not saying the new guy won't do well but Nigel was doing it anyway....momentum and all that.

Are you all genuinely surprised or did you expect it?

Most disappointing live band / performer
Seaford Saint replied to Halo Stickman's topic in The Lounge
Mine too but when I saw him in 1972 at the Gaumont he was being held up by his roadies at one stage having collapsed a couple of times. It would be fair to say he'd no idea where he was etc. His time on stage was 20 minutes. He managed Walk on Te Wild Side and ironically a song called Heroin....He also sang Vicious and Satellite of Love he collapsed again...he was dragged off stage and did not return. -
Guly is a quality player.....he has played as well as anyone in the last few games and has been, for some, Saints best player.

Sad news indeed.

Please can you all desist in quoting Alpine...he is on my ignore list and really don't want to read his drivel. We lost badly with a weakened team to the current European Champions and current FA cup holders. -

I agree with all you say about Chelsea and thanks for the info on Ramirez.... -

We fielded a weakened team. No Lallana, Clyne, Lambert, Ramirez...so it's our squad which is weak not our team. -

I thought Chelsea were magnificent.....Mata stood out, as did Ba. There were other notable perfomances, their number 7 was superb. Morgan was made to look ordinary...Davis looked poor. Our midfield was overrun. There was some stunning passing, pace and ball control by Chelsea. We chased the game -
Just going to walk into Newbury....3 miles there and back and 200 calories burned as a result. 2 bananas earlier, and baked potato with spicy chicken for lunch, I walked a couple of miles to work already as I do every day and I will walk home later. Going to the gym this evening for a 35 minute cycle (it tells me that I burn off 300 calories doing that alone) and a sauna/steam room afterwards.

I now have Alpine on ignore and I feel a lot better -
She's Professor of Drawing at the RA.....I never got conceptual art either to be honest. Her drawings are excellent and havibg seen a program on her I look on her with some respect now. Some students trashed her "bed" and she has declined an offer of a million quid to remake it.

Too early to say...we need some better players and if they arrive in January then wecwill be fine, if they don't arrive you may well turn out to be correct.
