Bottom three by the weekend then the panic button

Happy with a point I did not expect. The next couple of games are pivotal as if we lose them we will be in the bottom three and then we will see what the all-knowing Lowe will do - one panic button to be pressed.

I did hear a rumour that backed up by a few posts on this forum that Shearer was talked into the prospect of becoming Saints manager by his wife and encouraged by FullOfHope's vision of impending investment but he, like a few thousand others has now become totally disillusioned by the tyre kickers. So we move on to the next leak from Mr. Merrington the man whose jawbone is regrettably not attached to his brain.

I not sure what good making predictions about heavy SFC defeats does anyone. One point is better than zero which is all we have been getting with recent performances. I would point out however that the one point did not stop us dropping to fourth from bottom. I am worried that once we hit the bottom three we do not have the resilience to get out and I think that true to previous form Lowe will then hit the panic button.

A good honest bloke but no experience at this level and having to make do with a very very young side. P45 to come when we hit the bottom three after a few more dickings in the next couple of weeks.

I agree we need him but would he come and would he last - not because of the football which he would easily sort out but he will tell Lowe and Co what a bunch of sorry pratts (edited three times that statement) they are and he would go.

Picking up on the posts - I care and I diod not leave until the final whistle. Summing up some good stuff which played a mediocre Watford side off the park at times but naive formation naive tactics naive finishing and unbelievablly poor defending. I dread to think what will happen when we hit the good sides in this division. I said in August that we would be in the bottom three by the end of October and that the Lowe panic button will be pressed then. I would love to be wrong but I fear I will not be and the hand is over the red button with two hard away games coming up. Very depressed

Did I miss it yesterday - I remain convinced that FullOfHope will pull it off - probably not in my lifetime though - more stuff from motormouth Merrington methinks

I do not agree with booing players and have never done it even with the worst performances last year with the Burley disasters. However when you are as arrogant and conceited a dickhead as Cashley Cole who clearly cares nothing for the game, his club and according to the newspapers his wife either, when you make errors that a tyro player would not make you cannot expect to receive commiserations like 'never mind try and do better next time'.

I have serious reservations about James at full back as I think he has great potential in midfield where he played in the Reserves. Mills and Lancashire are simply not ready yet. I think we should play Cork at right back and get a loanee at lwft back with Svennson and Perry in the middle with Spiderman playing in front of them.

I would have liked some news in recent weeks from the club. However I hope he is back after the international break as after the Coventry spectacle we clearly need him.

Dreadful performance all round poor passing very poor finishing Tyro league defending and that is an insult to the Tyro league. James will never be a full back and Mills is simply not ready - too many amateurish mistakes. All Coventry had to do was play on the two full backs. Embarassing. I fear if Svennson remains unfit and we do not get in two proper full backs it is going to be a hard winter. I thought we would be bottom of the league by the end of October and then I hoped that with recent results I would be completely wrong.

I hate Lowe and Co for what they have done to this club but this cannot be used as an excuse not to support the club. I only miss games due to working abroad for short trips and may have been known to manipulate dates to avoid missing home games.

I thought the referee was one of the better ones we have had so far this season although I agree he missed some of the fouls off the ball that Norwich used to try and upset us. From my seat in the Kingsland Lallana had skipped past two defenders and was going past Sefanovic but moving out of the box but was tripped inside. I though the foul was totally cynical as Stefanovic was clearly unhappy with the reception from the Northam End in the first half. As he trhen stole the ball away and ptobably said something unkind to the ref I think your fate is sealed. Roeder is correct in saying they missed chances but then so did we.

After his performance last night (not just his goal) I cannot believe that Sheffield United let us have him for that waste of space Dire.

Three points we badly needed and so lets take them for what they were against one of the weaker teams in the division. If we can follow this up with two more wins against Norwich and then Coventry I will be more convinced that this will work.

It is clear the best we can hope for is one game per week from him - and so we play him in midweek. I understand from the BBC site that JP has owned up to the mistake. When we get beaten we would do better with a dad from the Tyro league running the side. I like what JP is trying to do but he will only be around for a few more weeks with mistakes like this.

As posted on another forum I think this will go on for a few more weeks into October until the panic button is pressed by Lowe and co as gates fall and the spectre of administration looms closer (unless THFC pay for Llallana earlier than January). I have no idea if Billy Davies will be selected but we may be down to few options by then and if the performance at Doncaster is as bad as it sounded on ther radio tonight we may be grateful for him just to stay up.

I have not got a lot to add to these very good posts. I am not going to abandon the club but I do not know where we go from here. I said on earlier forums that as I watch the Reserves and U18s that we had a lot of good players coming through but that this league was not the place to experiment with too many youngsters - you only have to look at the type of teams that have been promoted in recent years. I said I thought that we might be bottom by the end of October. I think that this will go on for a few more weeks then Lowe will push the panic button for another manager. I have no idea who. Very depressed.

An interesting series of points but not valid to SFC sat at the foot of the Championship through total not just financial poor management. While I agree that the football balloon cannot continue to fill up with water your predicted collapse of the Premiership will not occur while the games are broadcast live around the world on pay TV with increasing numbers of viewers. Again I agree that PFC will implode if their owner (whichever Gaydamak) has some nasty financial and penal measures imposed on him, i am not sure how their demise will benefit us one iota. They are not in denial just in the Premiership.

I do not think so. I fear the Receiver will see him off before any offer of investment. I think when we are firmly rooted to the bottom at the end of October with crowds of only 15,000 it will get interesting.

I think the fact that Merrington has a last shut up in public speaks volumes. I think the bid if you can grace it with that title is finished. Clearly he cannot raise the money from wherever it was he was going to get it and I agree he should simply say that and disappear again forever to the land of the wannabees but never weres. One thing I am interested is that to have got this far with Lowe and Co he must have provided some form of 'proof of funds' or 'funds in escrow' in order to show that he could buy them out at least. I wonder if we have heard the last of this issue if the middle east money has disappeared - if it existed as others have queried.

Anyone can support a club that is 7th in the Premiership and in the Cup Final. This is the time that the Club needs its real supporters. I loathe and detest Lowe and Co and I am very unhappy with what is going on but I am not prepared to abandon the Club and they need my money. I think every poster should state how many games they have been to this season as they criticise the Club it would put some comments into perspective. If you choose not to go and have lost interest for whatever reason then please do not post.
