I am very surprised that no-one has left in the window. The offers must have been poor for them to be rejected.

I thought the ITV feature was spot on and I think it is the first time I can say that as normally it is rubbish. Wotte did not do himself any favours and David (Armstrong) I don't think you will be allowed back in ever. Good stuff what do we do next

Hang on I may have read this before somewhere!!!!:smt022

Denneboom coming to SFC - about as likely as me being able to find my boots in the garden shed after 20 years - could have been more PR nonsense before they pulled the death threat out of the hat for the sympathy vote before the demonstration tomorrow. I think Rudi will still be here on Tuesday - hoping anyway
-
More OS PR crap. I do wish they would stop thinking we believe what is posted on there - there might be nearly one obscure signing rather like Ryan Smith taking over in Rudi's position.
-
Lowe will only go if forced either by us the fans or by Barclays and Aviva the mortgage holders
-
If it were a book ' I don't know my farce from my elbow - crikey there goes another manager' - with apologies to Brian Rix who at least appeared in farces that were funny
-
This would make a brilliant TV series - you have all the elements - comedy thrills intrigue arrogance combined with complete stupidity but the biggest one is tragedy.
-
What a load of rubbish. We are going to regret delaying and not getting Billy Davis or another experienced manager.
-
A laughing stock again - the boys down the road must be wetting themselves laughing so much. What impact will this have on the demonstration plans for 31 st

Lowe will do what he thinks is best for Lowe and as we know this may not be whats best for SFC as we have seen before with Pearson. Also this does not include jumping off the Itchen Bridge - please do not volunteer in your thousands to assist him at this point he will not turn up. Will Mr Wilde turn to this meeting - I suggest not. I am not convinced that he can sack Jan and remain as Chairman but no doubt Wupes has a cunning plan to extricate us from this self imposed pile of poo. I do not think anything from this meeting will allay the planned protest on 31st January 2009. Help

I am very happy to support this on 31st. We need publicity from wherever we can obtain it.

I think you should send it the echo - I used to send stuff to Adam Leitch adam.leitch@soton-echo.co.uk and perhaps you should do that now. Good stuff

It is difficult to see how we are going to get out of this pile of poo. I cannot see us beating Swansea at home and Norwich have just won 4 zero. I think together with Charlton we will be seriously adrift of the rest of the division by the end of the month. Odds on Jan being around much longer - even with luny Lowe around I cannot see this going on before the big panic button is pushed
-
I do not think you will be seeing Saganowski in a Saints shirt this side of January 31st. He will only appear if no-one either from abroad or at home takes him on loan within the window. We will see if he appears at Barnsley as they cannot pull the 'papers did not appear in time' stunt a second time. At that point the 'naked lack of ambition and who cares about relegation just let me keep my shares' will be there for all to see. I really do dislike people taking my season ticket money off me and treating me like an idiot. I suppose it is worse for poor Jan with his alleged forwards firing blanks and having a player who might turn it around and save his job training but not being allowed to play for you. What way to run a football club.

Rudi: Too many youngsters playing and I want away
LostBoys replied to Big Ron fan's topic in The Saints
I cannot complain about Scacel's viewpoint concerning himself or his comments about too many young inexperienced players in the team. He was left on the sidelines after his move to Ipswich fell through so we could avoid paying him his 'play' bonus. He was then put back in as we were desparate and for no other reason. The other side of the coin is that overall he has been a disappointment but it has coincided with the departure of any 'class' forwards leaving us with players who were too slow or inexperienced to get on the end of his crosses. -
United never needed to get out of first gear to beat us. I would rather lose to them and be able to blame the ref and linesman even though we only had one real shot at goal instead of being humiliated on TV at Bristol Rovers or Blyth Spartans or and other non league club still in the Cup. In terms of atmosphere the main problem is that trhe Northam End were evicted elsewhere in the ground to accommodate Man U supporters.

heard some interesting stuff and met some good people today
LostBoys replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
All I heard yesterday was that Drew Surman's partner is expecting and he did not want to move clubs at such an important time in their lives. His father has been quoted as saying he knows nothing about a move. Both of these 'rumours' are probably accurate but neither of the statements will stop Lowe from selling Surman if a big enough cash bid or cash plus loan swap deal was offered. Obviously Reading and Fulham would be favourites due to their close proximity. I suggest watch this space as anything can happen in this incompetently managed club. -
I cannot believe the OS spin that SFC did not obtain the clearance in time and I find it difficult to accept that the club are that incompetent to simply overlook it. I feel the real reason is that the next bout of bad news and regardless of our league position, Saganowski will not be returning to Saints and will be farmed out elsewhere althouigh I have no idea where that would be. I think there will be even more more team bad news to come after the Man U respite. We have some way to go before we hit rock bottom.
-
Almost a certainty that they will now stay up which was the reason their Chairman gave for sacking the previous manager as they cannot now afford to drop back to Division 1. I do not know why Lowe cannot see this but with the Pearce and Cork loan bad news which must relate to our position it is dificult to see that we can either stay up or avoid administration in whatever order Happy new year Saints fans please tell me what we did wrong to deserve this.

New Year Messages for Michael Wilde here please
LostBoys replied to Big Ron fan's topic in The Saints
Having seen us play them both times recently I cant help but compare the Reading Chairman Just been knighted - not derided or ridiculed by the supporters Managing a well run club with a balanced side and no hangers on being rewarded to past favours to the manager Complete faith in the current manager etc no ill considered replacements Relegated but taking a sensible approach to getting promoted again with no huge outlay in players unsuited to the existing squad And our two idiots. I rest my case -
I am also a season ticket holder but I cannot agree to a boycott. I would much rather have a early walkout as part of a 'get Lowe out' protest including a march and picket before a game with placards etc. To boycott seems self defeating in view of small crowds.

The problem is that the OS is all rupert lowe spin and so even if they come out with a true statement no-one will believe it hence the conspiracy theories. I did not hear the West Brom rumour but at the Kingsland stand bar a guy was saying he met with Baird and his family over Xmas (does Baird still live in Soton?) and he was coming back with Surman going there - no mention of Lalllana. The more worrying rumour was that a Premiership club were coming in for Kelvin as a back up keeper for them. I also spoke with a friend in Ipswich and there has been no news of Scacel going there officially or on their web site. We can still hope I suppose but I think two or three will be gone in January to put funds in to survive financially to April irrespective of our our league position in the bottom three.
