  1. Excellent piece - can we now consign him, Guy the Gutless and Richards the spineless but I want to change sides because I am a supporter, together with Sumdunce and Numpty Canteen to the rubbish bin and move on in the knowledge that things will be so much better without the lot of them.
  2. I agree with potential but if you look at those teams likely to be relegated from the Prem you can see just how far we have fallen. We are just crap.
  3. I was only listening on the radio but David Armstrong was spot on when he said this the period in the game when we normally concede and he was right. Amateurish and downright crap a big clear out looming from the board downwards - if we make it that is. Thank goodness we can take a break from this perpetual misery - or can we?
  4. "In 2003 JJB Sports were fined £5.5 million by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) for fixing the price of the English National Team and Manchester United shirts in 2000 and 2001. Which Consumer magazine issued proceedings against JJB Sports to sue the high street retailer for damages on behalf of consumers who were affected by the price fixing. Whelan gradually scaled down his interests in the company and in 2005 he stepped down as chairman. In January 2007 he sold £50m of shares in JJB, before selling his remaining 29% stake in June 2007. This action was in contradiction of a statement that Whelan made to the stock exchange on 26 January 2007 whereby he undertook to make no further disposals for the following 12 months. This action may now lead to an investigation by the Financial Services Authority. I could not retrieve the FT articles and this is the dreaded Wiki and I will not name other issues. I do not believe I said he was bust.
  5. I never read the rubbish that Sumdunce and 19C post because I have him/them whatever on ignore. Please don't quote them as then I have to read it. Just a few more days and they will be gone forever.
  6. Leaving aside Liquidation I thought he had another year on his contract
  7. Brilliant picture. I feel sorry for anyone who works for them with adverse market conditions and this pratt as Chairman. Interesting that Dave Whelan of Wigan is mentioned - he has got enough troubles of his own at JJB if the FT is to be believed.
  8. Surely Sumdunce and 19C cannot be Andrew Cowan. I met him at a Charity function (I could not change table at that late stage) and I was reasonably impressed by him although he mentioned Rupes as if he was still his fag from public school. He was intelligent and knowledgeable something you can never accuse Sumdunce and 19C of. They are all nearly consigned to the dustbin of history - just a few more days.
  9. I have a great idea - why don't the fans who have got tickets roundly abuse Rupes Askham and Richards on Sunday and then we ban the very mention of their names unless WH Ireland go bust although I will have sympathy for the staff who will lose their jobs. Then all the Lowe luvvies and plants can disappear as well and we will have one happy forum all looking to restore our club to where it should be instead of wasting our time reading the rubbish they spout as they try and hijack every thread to rewrite history..
  10. I hope he gets a rousing reception from the travelling fans - I am sure he will. I was too slow to get a ticket and I wish I could be there to help them. Can someone please take a camcorder and record the event for posterity as I will treasure it. I can only wait for this arrogant cretin to disappear forever in a few weeks taking his plants on this site with him.
  11. If the bunch of cretins led by Lowe Askham and Richards return I will not be renewing my season tickets. I do not believe they will return as they would need to put their own money in - something they have never done!
  12. I suspect that all three are bust or close to it as well. I think that in the Premiership you incur an operating cost level including stadia costs but excluding player costs that is difficult to materially lower. Comsequently you save costs by chopping your best players and damage your playing prospects but you still have unsustainable other costs. This applies even if you have more robust and intelligent management than SFC have demonstrated in the last 5 years and no basis for flaky experiments.
  13. Complete fabricated rubbish - are you sure the decimal point is in the correct place in the article should it be £0.5m
  14. I cannot see Lowe putting in any of his own cash but if he came back the under threat season ticket sales for Div 1 would be further damaged and this shortfall would be have to be covered by the buyer.
  15. What is Mike the Spineless Richards - I can change sides again because I am a supporter - still doing in the Directos Box and where is Guy the gutless
  16. He will not be back as it will require him to use his own money. Also having been a director of a bust Plc is he a fit and proper person.
  17. It will not happen as there will be a mass clear out as any consortia bring in their own people
  18. If it is Lowe Askham and Richards again forget my season tickets - no investor would be that stupid would they???
  19. This is the Fullthorpe story regurgitated - Fullthorpe promised huge investment to Shearer and asked him to become manager and we know what happened to those untold riches.
  20. We couldn't hit a barn door - there were some terrible misses or shots kicked at the keeper with the whole goal open - this is why we are relagated
  21. I have just read the League statement and find it hard to argue against it. All of the other PLC activities like Insurance Saints Radio etc all lost money and have been closed down or sold. The salvation of our piece of land at the farm is flawed as it has been just that for years and is not yet zoned for development as I understand it. Consequently the only activity for the Plc is the football club and they cannot be distinguished. I am sure we will appeal if not in Liquidation by then to avoid the minus 10 points next season as a compromise but Lowe and Cos legacy is that they gambled on or before 24 March 2009 that we would stay up on merit and the League would not deduct points. They have been wrong on both counts like most other decisions they made and now we have the worst of both worlds. We can only hope that we win both games and Norwich and Barnsley lose both games and we take the 10 this year and then win on appeal. Odds anyone. Will Guy Gutless and Mike ( I am trying to change sides because I am a supporter) Spineless turn up on saturday.
  22. Good luck to him at Woking - he will need it.
  23. I welcome any initiative that will help the club. However in my opinion the Trust and SISA are no longer credible if ever they were and have done nothing in recent years to assist the club and have been accused correctly of merely acting as Lowe and Co lackeys. I have met with some of them on away days and I have told them this face to face and to their credit they did not agree. We are deep enough in the mire already and I cannot see that a bunch of amateurs could ever help us out of it and do not command enough gravitas and support to raise anywhere near the money that the Club require.
  24. I agree he has done well this season and we would have been relegated around Xmas without him. You also have to give him credit as he has taken some stick for some of his errors in the past, particularly when his giveaways costs us points which would have seen us automatically promoted that season..
  25. Has to be Reading - we played well and had a huge number of fans - may be the last time for a while
