  1. I waited until I had seen reported whether the wages had been paid yesterday before I voted and before the Fialka revelation. With the Swiss in Southampton and another consortia allegedly seeking exclusivity for Monday I think Pinnacle will disappear today in a sea of acrimony blaming the football league whereas in reality they never had the money.
  2. Basic facts ignoring all recent bull**** interviews:- The Pinnacle takeover has not taken place and we have no idea when it will or if it will The players and staff have not been paid when we were told they would be but we are told there is a contingency plan Rest is conjecture I do not have a clue if Mr Fialka has the money to complete this deal or not or whether the FL is the reason or not. We will soon find out.
  3. Only the Mirror - Pearson is under contract at Leicester why would he come back down a division again?
  4. You cannot behind a 'members club' and constant rule changes to avoid liabilities that may occur in the event of SFC going bust because you refuse to issue a licence. The Administrator and creditors would surely sue to recover the 'losses' through a proven bid failing for that reason. I have flagged with the FL when does personal liability for these jokers kick in if it is found they acted contrary to their own rules or precedents and therefore without legal foundation. Mawinney is all wind anyway - he will run for cover when the headlines ' Football League busts SFC' appear. I really do not know why failed and poor quality politicians are allowed to take these potentially very important positions
  5. It occurs to me that Mawhinney and the rest of the committee incur personal liability if they are found to have acted without legal foundation i.e. refuse to grant the licence and SFC goes bust. The action would then be taken by the Administrator backed by the creditors. I have emailed the football league but I think it needs a legal letter for the point to be clarified.
  6. As I understand it after trawling through the forums and press like everyone else for the last few weeks there are two further bids in addition to Mr no-money Jackson - a british one and a swiss one. I presume they do have the money and have shown proof of funds with their bids and I am sure if Pinnacle fall over one of them will take over pole position - particularly with the wages needing to be paid next week
  7. I am not sure Fansonline is doing more that reporting his own viewpoint which happens to be not really what we want to hear. I am happy to accept for now that due process is ongoing and that Pinnancle and Mr Nemo have the money. If they do not or Mr Fry/Barclays will not negotiate down to what they do have, using financial terminology, it will go tits up very soon and it may be not as long as Friday week. Remaining optimistic and hoping against hope that if Pinnacle fail these Swiss guys and the other UK bidders do come forward.
  8. I am not worried about it going to the wire just if they have to do another lap or two. I am also not convinced that 'bid high negotiate low' is actually going to work with Barclays. We will see soon enough.
  9. The joke about Barry Hearn is that after he was shot by one of his boxers that he had shafted he gave a TV interview saying he did not have any enemies and did not understand why anybody would want to shoot him. The commentator said he thought he could name at least half a million people he had cheated off the top of his head and that a lot of people were just sorry the guy could not shoot straight. Who cares what he thinks?
  10. Need to put Shearer on
  11. No source named - rest is conjecture. My concerns regarding the bid at the moment are the fact that the club has not publicly rejected the bids for McGoldrick and Surman - on the basis that by 19 June 2009 we will not need the money.
  12. I appreciate whay they have done in the past but they are now totally irrelevant for the future. In the case of Mr Illingsworth he and the Trust had a chance to stand up and be counted against Lowe but did nothing and derided the organisers of the marches. They have to be judged by that. I have no objection to them courting the media but will they please state they speak for NO ONE but themselves.
  13. As I have posted on another thread I am not concerned about Dyer and understand the position of Raziak and Saganowski but this makes no sense if you have a lot of money and want to get out of Div 1 - why sell two players who allegedly want to stay? Very worrying.
  14. I am not concerned about Dyer and accept that the two Polish players may WANT away but why are we even considering selling Surman and McGoldrick who we need to get out if Div 1 if we are going to have millions in 15 days or whatever?
  15. He won't go there as they are likely to be relegated next season. He could go to a Championship club if no Prem offers but more likely to be someone like Reading that play football.
  16. No vendetta - track record of failure only - never had the money -was never going to be able to raise the money - about as close to buying the club as the posters on this thread - just wanted his 5 minutes of Echo publicity - everyone else's fault - just ask Gerald Krasner - obvious tyre kicker
  17. Oh no Numpty is on this thread as well
  18. Perhaps its because the Saints Trust has found itself in its rightful position in any new order - nowhere. I bought and enjoyed his book immensely though.
  19. Who cares what Numpty Canteen thinks I have had him and Sumdunce on ignore for months? Can't they just go away and get help now that St Rupert has gone - please?
  20. Who is Marc Jackson - surely he has returned to his pond by now?
  21. You obviously did not hear the interview
  22. Way way way out of his depth - that interview made him out to be what he was a chancer who got lucky with one set of commercial circumstancers but a pillock otherwise
  23. I am very pleased with this and am certainly more comfortable with the position. Why not name the ONE funder?
  24. Obviously after the blackest of black days when the salaries were not paid for May on Thursday, the Pinnacle news is a welcome relief. I am happy to give them the benefit of the doubt as they have paid a deposit and equally happy to assume they either have the required funds or are confident of raising them including covering the projected losses in Div 1 next year without widespread player sales. I do not think the Pinnacle performance (nor that of Mr Fry) in the last few weeks from an acquisition perspective has been particularly good and I would not like it on my CV contrary to a few posters on here. This has been evidenced by poor publicity management, the wages payment problem and the fact that their serious bid could be undermined by a bunch of jokers led by Marc Jackson. I will hold my judgement until their backers are made public and the deal completes and 21 days of exclusivity is a long time in SFC's recent history. Until then I will keep a smile on my face and will keep on hoping that this will succeed.
  25. I suggest if you love it so much you move there because no-one else will. Portsea Island is a dump although I accept that Old Portsmouth and the Gunwharf are good and the Spinnaker Tower interesting but the rest is just dire . How am I qualified to judge - I worked there for 15 years and the M27 journey was far preferable.
