I agree he has not delivered with any consistency but I was hoping that this season would see him come good and realise his undoubted talent and so if this is true it is a disappointment.

The news that Chambers may be included in the England senior squad just rubs salt into the wound after his absurd sale on the cheap. I travel a great deal and the general view outside of Southampton is that the players we have sold are good but not worth the money paid for them by Man U and Liverpool but no one understands this one. I agree that Clyne should be included.

In the land of the Mancs with 12 (?) league clubs within a 30 mile radius of the centre and the majority of the locals being City fans, he had better realise that every move he makes will be publicly scrutinised and reported. Where he could get away with one too many Nandos in Southampton he will not get away with it there. This is the price of £30m. I am not sure what impact the signing of Rojo (we now know why he did not want to sign for us) is going to have on his position.

Bit late but I went to the megastore today to buy the home or away shirt plus some training kit polos as I normally do each season. I am not small after trying to play football for too many years but with Adidas my shirt was 2XL and the polos etc XL. When the Saints last did their own kit I remember having to get one size larger (than Adidas) I could not get in to a 5XL and when I got it over my (normal) head it reached my knees and I am 5 ft 9 inches I cracked up laughing. I am clearly not a tailored size!!! I could not get near the polos and training gear No wonder the shelves were all full. I asked about the problem and got a sheepish smile. Why are we preventing half the supporters from buying shirts?

He was clearly very emotional about Saints and then got a bit carried away trying to defend his fellow Liverhampton players. When Lallana and Lovren left I thanked them on Twitter for what they had done for Saints and then told them to p*ss off. Very childish but it made me feel good. I cannot wait to see them at St Mary's along with Neil Ashton in the Press Box and they will all know how much they are loved and missed.

My only worry about all of this is that Davies and Gazzaniga are not good enough as the number 2. Anyone who saw the Man City game at the Etihad will be petrified with the thought of no Boruc and a Forster injury after Gazzaniga's performance. I did and it was right in front of me.

The article is crap and Liddle has missed the point entirely. Rodwell is largely irrelevant and it is debateable whether he will play for England. If you are English and young and inexperienced it is unlikely you will get a run in the Manchester City side and Rodwell may just not be good enough. It will be interesting to see how Shaw gets on with the pressure at Manure in terms of his form. Also Billy big ****** Lallana at Liverpool if he spends his time on the bench.

I wished Lambert well when he left and I hope it works for him but I do not think it will. I am sorry he is getting stick from LFC fans. There is no relegation in the NHL. I think that Freddy thought that the £85m TV money would just continue and that no one else would want a slice of it like every Championship club and every club that were below us.
