I only heard the game on the radio and I did not think we would win but but we were a very poor second. We need at least three players - a centre half and two midfield players

Saints given a 3rd allocation of tickets for swindon

Thanks I did say I had never been there. I had some notion they had sold the ground and moved to a new one - I must have got them mixed up with Pompey -
Apart from the obvious - Numpty/Sumdunce is an idiot - I thought it was established in the numerous threads at the time that MLT was approached by Fry to join Pinnacle as Fry felt it needed a 'name' to front the bid. He was apparently given proof of funds by Fry but the backers who provided the proof evaporated when they saw the scale of the problems in the Information Memorandum. I keep Numpty on 'Ignore' - I find if you do that the world is a better place.

I am in Reading that day but have never been to Swindon (sorry!) can you park near the new ground -
I think the view from the Itchen must be different to everywhere else. The only decent passing by the midfield came from him until Gillet replaced the dire Lloyd James who just kept giving the ball away. Morgan could be outstanding in this league but he needs more support than Lallana James and a too deep Wotton can ever provide.

I accept he used us and fed the club a load of rubbish about delays in signing while he waited for another offer and that repaid us for farming him out but he was a free agent. Thats football. A broken arm is not normally career threatening and he will be back unless he lets his fitness go. I am sorry for Neil Warnock - plums I am.

I think the only problem with Saga today was the dire quality of the passing to him out of midfield. There was onme occasion where he spun and left his two markers to put himself clear on the edge of the centre of the box and the ball was wellied 20 feet over his head for a throw to Millwall.
-
Thanks Harry - they cannot pay the residual amounts on the very expensive deals you aand Storrie concocted.
-
I agree that Lallana was poor today but he would have have to go some to beat Lloyd James' inept performance. Could not head the ball could not pass could not cross could not tackle and watched while his midfield counterpart scored against us with an unchallenged header. He may have been an improved player last season but only from 100% rubbish to 50% rubbish. What a joke.

Very good. Real life may not have been quite like that but I attended the Reserve game at Staplewood the night before the announcement of the appointment of the administrator. To my shock all the evil gang, past and present, were there in animated discussions on the touchline with a guy who turned out to be Fry. It was hilarious as they tried to suck up to him and I advised my fellow supporters in the 'stand' that something was afoot as we had not seen them at a reserve game there before. I wish I had a camera with me and we could have subtitled any film. Yes you are right they did not bother to watch any of the fotball - QED.

Although he has lost his way of late it would be great to have him as I have always rated him. I cannot see him dropping to Div 3 though.

I make no secret that Michael Svennson is my idol. I sit in the Kingsland but could not see him today. Does anyone know what is happening with him? I heard Kevin Dillon on the radio as potential assistant manager but where does this leave Michael? Does anyone know?
-
I do not have binoculars and sit in the Kingsland but was that that Richards I saw in the back row of the directors box - what is that chimpanzee doing there? Is David Jones still Finance Director after presiding over the administation of a PLC - do they want everything going back to Lowe and Cowans
-
Utter rubbish a poor imitation and a reversal in colours of a historic shirt with a basic yellow colour with blue added
-
Rupert who? Never heard of him
-
The guy claiming to have taken a picture on his phoner of Gordon talking to Stewart Henderson at Staplewood but never published it when challenged
-
I cannot say I am overwhelmed by the prospect as he has the charisma of a house brick but there is no doubt he has extensive experience and contacts at a higher level and we have to accept we are a League 1 side. After his Charlton near death experience I hope that he has been committed a level of funds to get us promoted this year.

I think we will be advised that WGS is the new manager and I think we will get a real dicking until they give up at half time
-
I think we will miss McGoldrick more than Wright Phillips. BWP had no more than a handful of good games and goals for us

In view of where we seemed to have ended up it matters little now how we actually got here and it appears that we have an owner who will invest money and do it sensibly. However I think a couple of Keith Harris's points should be answered - how did Pinnacle get exclusivity without putting any money down whereas the Harris bid and the Swiss bid allegedly offered the full £0.5m and was Harris' bid more than the Swiss and if so was it just timing that meant the Swiss succeeeded with a lower bid even if we now know it was the 'best' in terms of potential subsequent investment. With regards to Lowe and Wilde being members of the Harris bid, I find that unlikely as we have no evidence to show that the Harris bid was partially funded and it would have been as leper Lowe would not have invested his own hard cash.

Lowe Cowan Askham Richards Wilde Dulieu Hone Jones - all yesterdays nearly men - soon to be completely forgotten and never mentioned on here again

As I understand it Gorre had a consultancy contract which expired at the end of the season and he has left probably to look after his son. Killer is my idol and I hope they find a coaching spot for him but in view of the speed with which they despatched Mark Wotte he may be the next to go. I am trying not to look back but I felt that Killer was appointed by Lowe to deflect criticism from JP as non-one would ever boo a bench with Killer there.
-
I am sorry that Mr Crouch has lost his money as he clearly only ever acted in the clubs best interest - irrespective if he got it right or wrong. It is just a pity that the other rabble of Lowe, Cowan, Askham and Richards never had to pay for theirs to lose it (by and large) and my real sympathy will only ever rest with my fellow supporters who bought their shares in their hard earned cash and have now lost their money. I wont even mention Mr Wilde and I think that all posts mentioning the above names excluding Mr Crouch should be prevented from appearing on this forum again.
-
I do not think a debate on his football managerial merits is warranted at this time but I would like to acknowledge his coaching skills which is why we acquired him in the first place. Having had the genuine pleasure of meeting and chatting with him a couple of times I would like to thank him for his efforts and loyalty and wish him well for the future.

Someone on this thread said they had to complete by 2 today. Does anyone kbnow why not? I suppose after 97 days or whatever it is we can wait another day.
