shock horror the Mirror have picked the story up so it must be true - if it is it will be a first for the Mirror

My secretary's husband used to play for them and I watched a few games a couple of years ago. They have done amazingly well considering where they were a few years ago. Another London awayday though.

I thought this was genuine until I saw this was the Mirror. I expect Pardew will be in for a number of central midfielders in the coming weeks according to the newspapers. I expect he is getting a lot of dosh with us - whereas only the top teams in france can afford top wages and St Etienne are not one of those. I will believe it when it is reported in L'Equipe not the Sun.

This is purely down to very poor quality journalism on both the radio and Echo. I do not see why the club should respond to this rubbish and certainly not comment on the Mail. The club has said all information will be published on the OS first and of course this sidelines Solent and the Echo. Shame

Disappointed with Wayne Thomas, Jamie White and Kayne McLaggon - the rest are not a surprise. I will not make any further comment on Lloyd James going there have been enough column inches . I agree with some of the other posters there are still some more left in the squad whose contracts have time to run and need to go. I hope we get Antonio and Papa back

I find this thread to be totally astonishing even though I accept I could be made to look a fool in a few hours time. These rumours have been generated by Radio Solent the excommunicated Echo and the Daily Mail and Telegraph who are all renowned for their very high quality of sports reporting. It is interesting that none of the 'better' sources like Sky have run with this. We then wonder why the club does not demean itself to respond to this crap journalism and the ranting from demented forum members. If the rumours are true I will fall on my sword as well as be desparately disappointed with SFC.

I was quoting the Mail via Newsnow. It is likely the Echo will take the feed tomorrow. As I said it is the Mail who have been running a series of articles which have been defamatory towards us. They have now 'named the day' and will be right or wrong. When they are wrong tomorrow I suggest we ban anything they say from this forum in the future!!

Sorry but I cannot stand him and his sanctimonious summaries on BBC South with Sally Taylor. When Pompey were in the cup final with Redknapp he did several pieces on the Pompey 'revolution' - 'keeping at the top' - 'challenging for the Champions League next season ' etc garbage for weeks even when the debt rumblings began. Just one of the jolly happy clappy BBC chaps with nothing between his ears. If he supports Stoke perhaps he can b****r off to BBC Stoke sometime soon.
