Although I am happy where we are now, I still am not convinced we had the summer situation under any positive control. I also think the tipping point was the fan reaction to selling Chambers after head up his arse Lovren went - and isn't he just crap without Schneiderlin and Wanyama in front of him. I want Schneiderlin to stay but if an offer comes in from a CL club came in I just want him to go like Lambert not the hypocritical Lallana and Lovren.

Just got back. Played poorly against a poor Spurs side - Erikson excepted - and had enough chances to bury them.

I have no problem with his leaving although I am surprised he went to Spurs and the idiot Levy but there is no doubt he lied about what he was going to do until he remembered about the penalty clause in his contract. If you treat people with respect it is normally reciprocated if you do not the reverse applies.

I thought we were always a stepping stone for MP but I thought he would go to Spain or Italy probably after this season. I did not think for a minute that he would end up at Spurs. He would have had us in the top 10 and so there would have been no question of sacking him.

A toss up between David Walker and John McGrath. I loved Dennis and had the pleasure of playing with him in the same team after his career. We did well in both the league and the Hampshire A Cup and beat Basingstoke when they would not go near him. Lovely guy.

Quiet news weekend with no football so what better to do than put out January transfer window fairy tales particularly about SFC. I am not sure about conspiracy theories concerning Cortese I thought he had sold up and let the country. If fully fit and scoring goals I would imagine Jay will be a target for a number of clubs including City but we are not there yet and he will only go for a load of money not £15m. I would prefer he does not join Spurs or Liverpool but you have to be realistic. City's record with players is not good and I cannot see him wanting to be on the bench behind Aguero et al reliant on injuries to get a game.
