Ok we are clearly not going to agree on anything and I would worry if we in Southampton ever believed our own PR. For all the bickering on here, we know how we got here as a club, we know why and most importantly we know what a mammoth task it is to get back to where we were. I am afraid you guys on the wrong forum do not. I propose you come back on this forum around December when Gus has long gone to a Prem club and even with your above average squad as you put it you are languishing towards the bottom of the Championship.

Ok one more response - Gus Poyet has done a fantastic job for you but will have a number of opportunities to join a bigger and better supported club with a much stronger squad with his record - hence he will leave. It may be you will continue to do well without him but other clubs records show that is often not the case. Before you resort to the other twaddle that BHA supporters like to publish on this forum which I thought was for SFC, we deserve to be in this league due to the inept way the club was being managed. We have now had investment in the squad and it is much better than yours but you are top and we are not and that is a great credit to you. I hope you do well next year and when the reality check comes it is not too severe as ours was. In terms of the game at St Mary's you were crap and we should have buried you but we did not and unfortunately for us this was not the only game. I am pleased you enjoy posting on our forum - I have not looked on your but surely it cannot be that bad you use ours.

Pretty easy to understand really - man for man BHA do not have anywhere near a top finish squad but make up for it in many other ways. The 'last 15 minutes' came from Sky after one of the BHA games - I do not trawl other clubs web sites for information. In terms of 'parking the bus' you should recall the BHA game at St Marys - you cannot destroy the opposition with passing if you do not emerge from your own half. BHA deserve to finish as Champions and even with a new stadium will struggle when Poyet goes at the end of the season.

I think there have been a few away ones as well and I think I attended some of them. I think we will be second but the points difference at the end of the season will still be ten plus and that is a poor second in my book particularly when you compare squads.

I am afraid you have to hand it to BHA - an average to poor team with poor support but very well managed and a model of consistency with very few opportunities missed and I think I read they have gained 21 points in the last 15 minutes and extra time of games. This is why they are going to be Champions this season and deservedly so. I think we will beat them at their place and we will still be a poor second and we all know why with the list of second rate performances we have managed this season..

Good news! I thought both Peterborough and MK Dons would win comfortably. The BBC predictor is looking better - all we need now is Brighton to start dropping points big time. Time for the wrist slitters to get a needle and thread for their wounds.

I have played around with the BBC predictor and tried to do it in terms of optimistically realistically and pessimistically in respect of SFC. Pessimistically i.e. all results go against us needs 27, optimistically all sensible results go for us 15, and realistically around 21 ish. I think we will be confirmed second by May 2 when we wil be in Plymouth but you cannot exclude SFC from screwing things up until the last game particularly after the abysmal performance last night

While I do not intend to slit my wrists I do not see how anyone can think a point is anywhere near good enough against one of the poorest performing teams in the league. 'Shocking' performances according to those there just will not do at this stage of the season.

I could not go due to work but based on what I heard on the radio lst night and read this morning these are very generous marks except for Fonte, Butterfield and Hammond.

Just not good enough. The goal was schoolboy error again - ok we did score a winner and it was disallowed but the performance according to those there was crap. Why not shore up the midfield once we scored as the two new boys cannot mark or tackle to save their careers - but I am not blaming them we are lightweight in midfield and unless something is done we will not reach 2nd. Very very disappointed.

I thought the coverage was hilarious at the beginning - any real Bournemouth supporter must have been cringeing in embarassment - a really bad way to end a bad day. I loved the booing of the opposition players as they get off the coach - a great way to get them wound up and play better against you.

Anyway this result is just not good enough - I had Saints to win 2 nil not 3 1 - this has cost me 5 points in the prediction league just as I was making an assault on the top 10.

Well I hope this puts an end to this bitter rivalry crap. I have always looked for Bournemouths result after ours and I hope they continue to do well and get promoted. I have to say even motormouth Mitchell was impressive in his pre match comments after the usual inane questions from the Solent presenter. Also a mention for Lee Bradbury who I always liked as a player - Pompey or no - none of the bitter crap after the game you always got from his miserable (but successful) predecessor.

I have emailed him personally with my comments. However this thread just shows that some t**t of an alleged journalist can write a complete load of c**p to stir things up and sell the Echo rag(s) and people will bite.
