I agree the Walton performance at the Leeds game would have been appalling in Divi 7 in the parks on a Saturday. This is a genuine plug for all the unpaid guys in black in the local leagues.

You have forgotten the madmen that followed them Askham made mistakes and the biggest one was introducing Rupes but he tried to run the club soundly - normally by flogging our best players. The guys that followed all had their own agendas.

I really do not understand slagging off one of your own players. Forte has had limited opportunities here and when he has had them he has generally not done well. Ok that's football and he will have to go elsewhere. We should remember that SFC in the days of the dark lord otherwise known as the arrogant t**t a number of players left the club who have managed to do very well elsewhere. If he goes he should be remembered for MK Dons and we should wish him well.

One of the funniest moments was in the 60s when we were playing Chelsea at the Dell and they had a player called Hutchison. He was being done for receiving stolen goods at the time and came over to the West Stand to take a throw in. It was one of the moments when the whole crowd goes absolutely silent as the ball was thrown to him and some wag shouted out 'dont give it to him - he''ll nick it' followed by raucous laughter from everyone in the stand who heard it. Hutchison was so shocked by the crack and the response he dropped the ball on the line and walked away to let someone else take it. I thought it was hilarious but I was only a teenager at the time.

I was one of those who posted he was underwhelmed on Adkins appointment having thrown my hat into the ring over Martin O'Neil as my preference but I have to say Adkins has hardly put a foot wrong literally. Great football performances from great team selections. You cannot ask for more.
