Lambert carried more threat than JRod or Guly (who did not have a bad game) but unfortunately missed his header at a crucial time.

I do not believe NC is picking the side or the formation. NA is and getting it wrong. A large number of posters (ignoring the usual jokers) on here said pre season we needed defenders and a defensive midfield player but we did not get them in and are now paying the penalty. I have not heard the press conference as I was coming back from West Ham but will NA be here next week - I am not sure as NC is not renowned for patience.

I have to say I did not know it was actually there as I am in the Kingsland but it seems a shame.

Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"
LostBoys replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I just wish he would drop this as it is not helpful. There is no point raking up the Pinnacle debacle as they did not have any money and Matt should have verified that when he was allegedly asked to join it by the SFc administrator. Saints fans have varying views on Mr Cortese but he is responsible with Markus Liebherr for putting us where we are. -
FIFA will probably fine England for being there and award the game to Serbia as the crowd only were requesting bananas from the vendors and the punches and head butts at the end were those well known Serbian gestures of congratulating us on winning. If they did not like us they would have shot everyone- isn't someone on trial for that at the moment also claimimg he is innocent

Cole is a world class player and a world class knob and this is one of the worst posts this year.

Charles who? Is this the guy at Rangers a third division side in Scotland? I do realise the size of their supprt and that they will be back in the Scottish Super League in a couple of seasons. Who cares what he says?
-
This is a joke right? Where have you been the last three years?

Mr Paddon actually not only took the trouble to call me but also sent an email. He advised that he was waiting to hear back from his line managers. I will keep everyone posted.

Its easy 1. I want to arrive early to avoid the Ikea saddos blocking West Quay Road 2. I want beer in a glass not a plastic one or a bottle 3. I want some reasonable food at a reasonable price 4. I want to follow the footie news and the early game on Sky 5. I want a table and chair so I can sit down and achieve points 2 to 4 The Dell Cafe Bar used to provide this at a modest annual fee which I have paid for this year.

I think beer was the only thing that Burley did not drink I hope the PST pull through but a legal challenge by Portpin could mean liquidation if the FL do not accept the Portpin crooks as fit and proper. I have read Micah Halls work and I think it deserves an award.

The idiot Andy Townsend who played for us made bambi on ice Welbeck man of the match but although he scored he screwed up/missed 10 other opportunities that Lambert would have done better with. Dreadful what with Cleverley's hopeless misses against the Ukraine. The future maybe - the present not good enough

There have been a huge number of emails about the removal of both tables and chairs and also tea and coffee sent to Mr Rob Paddon who has undertaken to take the complaints to the decision maker(s) at the Club. There has been no reply as yet although some members have received a letter saying the Club wants to make it more like a pub - presumably one without table and chairs. A further gripe has been that these changes were not announced in advance and only made after the annual membership fees were paid. There have been no guests while I have been a member and there are no team announcements either which means at 2 o'clock everyone dives for their smartphones to get the team news if it is not on Sky. The ground announcements are not piped through unless you are in the toilets - and I do not spend my entire club visits there! The Dell membership comprises mainly long term season ticket supporters who also attend high numbers of away games but the offering has sat uncomfortably with the Club since they stopped the premises being used by Club staff for their lunch during the weekdays. The Club preference would be lower end hospitality such as the Mike Channon Suite which is much more expensive than the Dell membership but I was told the tables and chairs were removed there as well. This saga will run for a while yet but may result in the facility being closed at some point. For clarity, the Dell offering is the same beers etc as in the concourses but in real glasses and a cut down menu which is a normally a very good standard but nothing else forms part of the package. It opens three hours before kick off and provided you did not arrive after 2 o'clock you used to be able to sit down

I can ignore him anytime anywhere

I purchased my programme from a very nice young lady who was stood only a few feet from where the previous pregramme seller stood. The only difference was that she could only hold a few programmes as she did not have a stand to keep the box and change was much more difficult. Unique new way of selling? - avoiding congestion? - hardly.

I don not think this is helpful at the moment.

I di not agree with the substitutions apart from the imposed Richardson one and we lost out shape as a result. He should have adressed some wretched second half performances.
-
Just this second heard Adkins has gone!!!

hilarious -
I was told 6 weeks at the game - this is supposed to come from the physio staff - if so bad news
-
Poor performance against a poor Fulham side on yesterday's performance. I did not understand the substitutions apart from the Richardson one as we lost our shape. There were some individual wretched performances particularly second half. Big improvement needed at West Ham.

I have been away on holiday but got back early yesterday morning and got my 2 and the queueing system worked well with only a 10 minute wait

Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
LostBoys replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
yes I scored a goal there in a cup game - the shot was actually an overhit cross which sailed over the head of the keeper. Although from some divisions lower we led 2 zip until towards the end but eventually got dicked 5 2. -
How many will Lambert score this season................
LostBoys replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
